A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Great outdoor vibe with lively music playing, a little table for kids, and mom and pop kind of restaurant. The menu is surprising because this little place is so unassuming. Like the taco dorado de papa con ceviche de camarón. It's a potato taco which initially reminds me of good old fashion Mexican food with a top notch Michelin star restaurant twist. In fact, it's a little hard for me to categorize the food. It's definitely authentic, but on an elevated level worthy of the Food Network. You can taste freshness of the ceviche and it's so flavorful. Several of us came so we sampled a bit of everything. The sopes with pulpo were excellent as were the tacos dotados con chorizo and marlin. The kids had fish sticks and fries which was perfect for them. The desert was superb-- tortilla over flame filled with caramel and served coconut ice cream. This was beyond my expectations to say the least. So we inquired and it turned out the chef owner used to used to work at Grand Velas and other major chains. This explained a lot. Bottom line: epic hole in the wall. Go! Well worth it!
