I just called Eva's Beauty Salon to ask about a simple wash, blow dry, and flat iron. From the moment the woman answered, she was rude and dismissive. I said my request clearly, and she loudly interrupted with "What?" then slowly repeated what I said back to me in a condescending tone. When I asked if she understood, she snapped, "I work in a beauty salon, of course I understand." Okay so why are you asking me so many times ? Lol Then, seemingly after hearing my voice, she asked, "What kind of hair do you have?" in a rude and off-putting way. I responded, "I'm Black. Is that okay?" She flat-out said, "No, we don't have the products to do black hair...WE DON'T DO BLACK HAIR." as if Black hair is some alien texture that needs special treatment compared to "Spanish" hair. They clearly don't know how to do hair as an cosmetologist would know that. I could understand if they said they were inexperienced but that comment alone was wildly offensive and discriminatory. This place clearly lacks professionalism, respect, and basic decency... Zero stars if I could. read more

I took my daughter there for her hair for her Prom and the lady Tere burned her hair... the picture that was shown to her looked NOTHING LIKE THE RESULTS!!! My daughter looked like a scarecrow!!!! So I live in Denver, Colorado. My credit card was stolen in Glenwood Springs by a woman who lives in Norwalk, CA. She made five $50 charges on the same card at the same time on the same day at this salon, and apparently, that didn't raise a red flag to the people who worked here. I called today to find out more information about the charges, and the woman who answered the phone was not helpful in the slightest. I actually found her to be incredibly rude about the situation. If you go to this salon, just beware of any transactions made here. Apparently, they DO accept stolen credit cards, and they're obviously not careful about their credit card transactions. read more

Samsunissa is great at doing eyebrows! She always listens to any adjustments I want for my eyebrows (keeping them thick, not threading off an area of thin hair because I'm trying to grow it out, etc.). I've had a lot of eyebrow ladies sort of rush through, they end up being uneven, or leave hairs everywhere, but she always makes sure everything is perfect! Also, it's cheap. Definitely recommend coming here for eyebrows. read more

I have naturally thin wavy hair. I've had my haircut by Tere and Maria both are great! My hair continues to grow long and healthy. The staff here are all very nice. I always feel welcomed. Today I had my eyebrows threaded by Nissa. Wow! She's great. She has a light hand and is very careful. She left such a beautiful shape. This is my new go to for both haircuts and eyebrows. AWFUL PLACE! I'm writing this review as I'm sitting outside in my car ready to leave. I stopped at candlelight bakery a few business down to pick up a birthday cake and figured I'd give this place a shot for my toddlers haircut to save some time. Aside from waiting for 5 min for someone to attend me, the lady that did help is refused to give my son his haircut because he was crying. Isn't that your job? She obviously did not want to deal with a child. My son has received at least 6 different haircuts at multiple places and nobody has refused to cut his hair because he was crying. All hairstylists have cut his hair without a problem. Why? Because that's their JOB and they know that kids are like that. I asked her to take off the cape off me and walked out. Tere does a great job I always get my hair cut by her and she takes her time and makes sure I'm satisfied. Especially with my split ends! I was taking my kids to take picture on Saturday. So I knew my son need a hair cut. He usually goes to a barbershop with my husband but I hate waiting 3 hours for a haircut so I brought my son here. I brought him in and the lady on the first chair on the right took him right away. I explained to her to give him a boys haircut with trim the top so he can comb over. I don't know what in the hell she thought I said but she shaved half his head then faded up the other side.then she lined up his hair line on one side and not the other. I was so pissed I keep telling her this is not what I wanted and she yes you said you wanted comb over I told her this is not a comb over. I had to still pay for this shitty haircut and I will never go there agian!!!! I guess that's what happens when I don't wanna wait at the barbershop. I couldn't even take my kids to take picture now I have to wait till it grows out. read more
