We got married at Cravens Estate with 200 guests. Cravens is (or "was" since we were told ours would be the last wedding there; damn those snobby, rich, complaining neighbors!) a venue where you bring everything yourself -- food, booze, tables, chairs, musicians, servers, etc., so as you can imagine there is quite a bit of coordinating that had to be done. Liz's team met with us several times in the six months leading up to our wedding. We had some minor snafus nailing down meeting dates/times because they were coming from out east and we live close to Santa Monica, but we made it work. Our venue added restrictions seemingly every month thanks to those pesky neighbors, and Liz and Daniel were good about brainstorming workarounds with us. As for the big day, everything went great. They basically took care of everything that we were too busy to check on ourselves, and I'm sure they were running around monitoring details as my wife and I rested/socialized/ate/drank/took pictures. Funny story, we actually had forgotten our ceremony candles, and Daniel took off for the nearest mall about a half hour before our ceremony to get us something that would work and came back all out of breath just in time. The effort was much appreciated. They kept things moving and on schedule but also were able to give us an extra minute or two with a table here or there. I brought a few blank checks to the wedding and used one to extend Liz's team a couple more hours. All in all, I highly recommend their services! The peace of mind alone makes it worth hiring them.

I got married on 10/6/12 at the University of Michigan football stadium (aka the Big House)…read more I'm from california and I knew Liz and Dae Gun were good so I hired them to do my wedding in Michigan. They agreed even though they were unfamiliar with the Michigan territory and our venue. We had to also communicate through skype & google chat. Liz's assistants designed and printed our invitations and programs (a separate addition I paid for). I was very picky/specific with the way I wanted them --- football ticket style invitations and foam finger looking paper programs. Everything came out SOOOO perfectly. They did it in a manner so that it was still classy, feminine and cute yet sporty. They are so talented. People even asked if they could save the invitations and email us their rsvp instead of ripping the ticket stub. As for the wedding coordinating, Liz is very very meticulous. Even my venue and vendors were impressed and commented that they have never seen such an organized and detailed timeline. She wants your wedding to be as perfect as possible. We met via computer 3 times where we went over the timeline and other questions she had for us. She asked questions I would have NEVER thought of. She covers everything from the day before to the end of the night so that you come and leave with everything. I am very impressed with the organization of This Is The Day. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I didn't know of any problems at all. My husband and I were so stress free. We just did everything they told us to do. Our MC had stage fright and ended up not making the flow as smooth, Dae Gun/Liz stepped up and guided him to make sure the flow of the reception went smoothly. Also, the day of, we found out we had to do the korean ceremony (pae bek). Liz and Dae Gun fit it into the schedule so smoothly. No one knew how to put on the head piece of the hanbok and the male hanbok, but Liz and Dae Gun did. They also guided us through the whole pae bek. They are amazing and obviously very experienced. The fact that they were in a different state didn't alter their skillsets at all! I don't know what I would have done without them. THANK YOU THIS IS THE DAY!

We spoke with Laura on the phone and on zoom, her price seemed reasonable, so we booked her. Her recommendations for vendors were not the best. We went with her vendor Rustic Yards for rentals and he was impossible to get intouch with, but had great products and it worked out at the event. There was a period of about a month and a half between february and end of march where she stopped responding to emails and texts all together. We were worried, but she finally reached out saying she was in the hospital. I asked about there being a backup person to call in case of emergency, who helps her with the business and she said no. After that, communication was better. For my wedding, we DIYed our table decor and had a specific way of arranging everything. I went over the details in person when she picked it up, and I created a 50-page binder that explained every detail for the day of for her to review. My other vendors appreciated the details. It seemed like she didn't even look over it, because when we showed up to the venue before cocktail hour, everything was a mess. She claimed the wind was going to blow everything away and just put all the menus, name cards, napkins, utensils, candles array on the table and didn't follow my set up. We asked her to have both of her assistants available to set up, but she refused, saying she could just use one and herself for everything. She also insisted that the catering company be the one who set up the tables and decor and refused to put out the cups or plates. Luckily our caterer worked with us and we paid for THEIR servers to be there an hour earlier to set it up. We had 230 people at the wedding and a lot of tables and decor to set up. Luckily my bridal party went around fixing her decor mistakes. She was unwilling to give instructions or guidance to the vendors on the day of. For example, there were boxes left in the entrance that she refused to move but also didn't ask catering to move them. When speeches started, she told the bar to stop serving alcohol, which was never discussed. She then blamed the bartenders for not listening, but the bartenders said she was the one who instructed them. As the night went on, she was nowhere to be found. My caterer mentioned her being on her phone in the back for a while. At the end of the night, we gathered most of our personal belongings and decor to take home. After the wedding, I never received a text or email saying congratulations, or thank you for working with me. She was very ungrateful and unprofessional and hiring her is the only regret I have for my wedding day.
