MLE was involved as our Day of Coordinator and planning activities 6 weeks leading up to the big day. Cindy's experience, consideration, professionalism, and honesty (this is a huge one) made what could have been a very stressful day into a stress-free day, or least as stress free as a wedding day can get it, haha. As the days approached the big day, we were already pretty happy with MLE, but once the big day came, they completely kicked it up into high gear. They were so seamless in working in the background to make everything come together with the vendors, timing, handling of guests, etc. We had a delay due to the florist, but they handled it so well that the guests couldn't tell, only we could, and even when we tried to get involved, MLE assured us that it was taken care of, and not to worry. They even went above and beyond in moving some flowers to be better positioned around our mirror guest list, which elevated how the florist had originally planned for. They were very considerate and thoughtful for us by making sure appetizers were set aside for us while we were taking pictures, we were very pleasantly surprised to find a big bowl of our seafood items sitting at our couples table, since we definitely didn't get a chance to get to it. Throughout the night, they made a point to bring us drinks, dessert, help with a small crisis on my mom's side. I really couldn't have imagined having a better coordinator the day of, I wish I had another big event to plan, because I would absolutely go back to them for their services. AND the amazing service doesn't even stop at the wedding day! Their follow up emails to reflect back on what went wrong or what went well shows how much they care about their work. They were very meticulous in addressing any concerns we had that happened on the big day and most importantly, they were honest. They were truthful about the reasons why some things didn't go as planned, and that to us is the most important trait in a coordinator that you can trust them. We worked with Cindy for our wedding in May of 2023 at Descanso Gardens. We went with the Adore package as we had already booked a majority of our vendors. Cindy and her team have managed many weddings at Descanso and are one of their preferred vendors. Their experience at the venue was so valuable. It's hard to know where to begin because Cindy is absolutely amazing! She is reliable, prompt, and easy to work with. Leading up to the wedding, we were in close contact and she helped finalize all details with our vendors including timing, load in, and insurance. I honestly wish I could give MLE more than 5 stars because they did such a phenomenal job at planning and executing our wedding we held in October. My husband and I live in New York but we decided to do our wedding in his home state, California. From opposite coasts, we worked with Cindy and her team for over a year. Cindy has been an incredible part of our wedding journey. My husband and I talked to several wedding planners last year when we first started planning our wedding. We were looking for a pretty non-traditional, casual wedding, and mostly everyone we talked to basically told us what we wanted wasn't doable, or that venues are booked out 2 years, or that we needed to double our budget. When we first met with Cindy, we felt like we were drawn to her by the questions she was asking in order to get to know us and understand how we wanted our big day to go. She absolutely knows how to walk the line of professionalism and being very personable. She made us feel very comfortable in the sense that we could tell her our ideas like we were telling a friend and yet we knew she would execute what we were telling her without any problems. We were doing a largely DIY wedding in the back of a home we rented through VRBO (aka EVERYTHING had to be well thought-out, right down to outlet locations and amps). Although we had friends who were helping us with the flowers, cake, and decorations, there were many more vendors we needed to book. Every one of Cindy's recommendations was awesome, and we were able to book them within the week without any hassle. This is a huge relief when our favorite part of our wedding planning was building our decorations and creating games for people to play throughout the ceremony- not deciding which bartending service to go with. Cindy, (and Ana on the day of) was absolutely amazing. We hardly saw her, but my friends and family constantly told us how great and hard working she was. My neighbor fell at one point during the reception and she said Cindy was right there making her sit down, checking to see if she was okay, and then locking the door so other people wouldn't make the same mistake. We interviewed other wedding planners, but my recommendation to you is not to waste your time. You won't find someone more organized, prepared, and easy to get along with. We were lucky to book her a year in advance, so do this quickly. I first had the pleasure of working with Mad Love Events in 2013 for a wedding at the gorgeous Wayfarers Chapel. The whole wedding ran smoothly but what blew me away was when she helped me organize the family photos without me asking. They were done super, quick and easy thanks to her. Cindy and her team went above and beyond on my wedding day. After I booked my wedding venue, next vendor I booked was my wedding coordinator. I appreciated Cindy's flexibility from the start when I asked for ways to lower the cost since I wasn't sure on future expenses. Her willingness to work with me yet keep the quality meant a lot. I booked the 1 month package and it was worth every penny. Not only did Cindy took care of everything we've discussed, she remembered the details I gave her on our first meeting and executed the details I've forgotten. Cindy arranged my florist to deliver groom and bride personal flowers to the hotel and deliver everything else to the venue but my florist messed up and delivered all of our wedding party's flowers to the hotel. We did our best to collect everything before leaving the hotel but we forgot my bouquet (yes, the bride's bouquet). We didn't notice it was missing until we were at the venue getting ready to take our pictures. Cindy took charge and drove to my hotel to pick up few other items we forgot to bring. Cindy and Shasele are AMAZING! Very detailed oriented, just what we needed for our wedding. They are both professional and kind. Definitely relieved a lot of stress for us when it came down to the little details. Prices are extremely reasonable, we got the "Adore" package which was 6 weeks before, ceremony rehearsal and day of wedding planning. It was just the right amount of help since I'm a cuckoo bride who likes to plan 99% of everything. Upon my first in-person meeting with Cindy at her office, I was pretty much ready to hire her on the spot. She was very sweet, genuinely interested in our story and in knowing where we were at in our process, and she was clearly very detail-oriented. As soon as she showed me a sample day-of itinerary, I knew she'd be the one. It was detailed down to the minute, and I loved it. I did not even meet with another wedding planning service as I knew Mad Love Events was the one. There is not a single negative thing I can say about Cindy and Mad Love Events, so here are some of the things I loved the most: - No judgment. When I initially met with Cindy, it was my very first wedding-related meeting. I had no idea what I was doing. We went over preliminary wedding details; she took lots of notes, asked questions and gave wonderful advice and recommendations. Even leading up to the wedding she was most helpful with some of the unsavory planning details like seating arrangements, tipping, proper wording, etc. My husband and I had some unique ideas; Cindy made us feel totally normal about them. - The most organized organizer! Cindy literally creates a minute-by-minute schedule of your wedding day and distributes the play-by-play packet to all involved (wedding party, parents, vendors, etc). This was extremely important as my fiancé and I were able to relax and get ready without calls/texts from everyone asking where they needed to be. Whatever detail you can think of, Mad Love Events has it covered. The only thing we had to worry about on our wedding day was waking up. Seriously. - Communication. Emails and calls are responded to very timely. Cindy followed up a couple of days after our wedding to make sure we received some of our items. She even followed up a few weeks after to double check! We had only roughly 70 guests at our wedding. I hired MLE and worked with Cindy to help plan my little sister's baby shower recently. I live on the east coast and having a very demanding job so it was going to be really challenging for me to coordinate all the vendors and plan all the details. Cindy was SUCH a dream to work with. She is clearly very experienced in the business, she knows all the best vendors and worked really hard to keep things within my budget - she even handled the flower pickup and setup personally to save me $ on delivery fees! When you're preparing for a wedding, its all about budget, budget, budget. There are so many details that you need to plan for - the venue, flowers, DJ, food. alcohol, transportation and even a ring pillow, yeah that's right a pillow to carry the rings down the aisle and then you don't even actually use the pillow to carry the rings because the ring bearer is too young..well anyway you get the point. Well, when you're paying for your own wedding, all this stuff gets put under the microscope, dissected, questioned, and eventually approved if you love your fiance (haha). When the idea of a 'Day-of' Wedding coordinator came up, of course I was one of those soon-to-be-husbands that thought why do we need a wedding coordinator? There is a venue rep that works with us and she told us that she will be there to help out with any details of the wedding on that day and everything will be perfect. So i thought well that should be fine, we can save a little cash on a Day-Of Coordinator. After a little discussion, my soon to be blushing bride convinced me otherwise (of course), explaining to me that WE can not be dealing with all of the little details on our big day and we don't need to be bothered, so of course I succumbed to the wifey's wants just like we bought the Ring pillow. Let me tell you how wrong I was. Cindy from Mad Love Events was just not a 'Day of Coordinator', no, she was an Executive Producer. Our wedding day, at Calmigos Ranch in Malibu, which turned out to be amazing wouldn't have been anywhere close to the day it was without Cindy running the show. First off, forget about the term 'day-off', Cindy met with us a few months before the wedding to get a sense of who we were, what kind of wedding we wanted, and to offer any advice for any of the vendors we were thinking about hiring or any questions we had about the process. Then about a month later she met with us again to start fine-tuning details and presented us with a detailed rundown of how the wedding schedule. The rundown was down to the minute! It would of made any TV producer jealous, and I actually thought to hire her as a production coordinator for an upcoming project since I am in the TV business. That's how detailed she was, let me say I was very impressed. Two weeks leading up to the wedding, Cindy reached out to all of the vendors, coordinated their schedules, made sure they were ready-to-go with exactly everything we wanted. She was very, very on top of communication leading up to the big day. With my fiance being very detailed as well, they complemented each other very well. As far as the actual day-of, Cindy equipped with an assistant and walkie-talkies, treated our day like a Hollywood production, and let me tell you she didn't dissapoint. Everything came off as smoothly as possible, with my wife or I really not having to deal with anything. Cindy was absolutely amazing.
