Dr Rivera has been the best, without question. We have a membership to a massage company in the area, but frankly once we use up our allotment of monthly appointments that accumulated thanks to the Covid closures, we are cancelling our membership there, and solely using Dr Rivera's services. Dr Rivera IS excellent. She is well trained and not just certified. She is a genuine caring doctor who listens to her patients needs and works accordingly. Since I started working full time in March I have been walking an increasing amount at my employers site, due to my area or coverage. She has attended to my bi-monthly needs; frankly I wish I could see her more frequently than every two weeks. She is willing to wear a mask, to protect her patients, and is a very caring doctor. My wife and I feel very blessed to have found her; she is conveniently close to our house, and has always given us top notch service. I honestly don't want to consider what would happen if she wasn't available. Dr Paula has speciality training for specific areas, and while it doesn't matter probably to the average patient, her knowledge of the body and specific muscle/joint is a testimony to her knowledge and understanding of the body and what ails it. She has recently been focusing on my fingers, and I can attest to her understanding of my body's needs. You may find another chiropractor who is good, but you won't find one better. Dr Rivera is excellent, and unparalleled in her ability, knowledge, and expertise. I walk out of every visit feeling noticeably improved. When I was a teenager my mother went to go see Dr. Dan at Beaverton family chiropractic and was…read moreactively encouraged by Dr. Dan to stop taking her epilepsy medication as it would be unnecessary with his services. Those services being cracking her back and neck. My mother, not knowing any better, trusted a "medical professional" into stopping her life saving medication because she was told to by Dr. Dan. I was physically in the room and heard him tell my mom this. As a teenager I wish I had known better as it would've prevented my mother from having a grand Mal seizure. My mother had been, at that point, seizure free for 12 years due to actively taking her epilepsy medication. My mother was provided hope from Dr. Dan that she would be seizure free, without taking medication, by regularly seeing him as the medication was causing subluxation in her body. Subluxation, as he defined, was toxins spreading in her body that were exacerbated by the medication that she was on that prevented her from having seizures. In addition to encouraging my mother to stop taking her medication, he also worked on my moms back and shoulder an hour after getting into a car accident without obtaining any form of imaging (x-ray, MRI). Not only was this incredibly dangerous, but this is the reason why she still has back/ shoulder pain. Lastly, as if his abuse of my mother wasn't enough, he actively criticized my mother for allowing me to be vaccinated and attempted to encourage her to not follow actual doctors medical advice. He would also show, in his office, fake clips about vaccinations and encourage patrons to not vaccinate their children. He has no medical background around vaccines that give him any authority on the matter. Highly recommend to seek other forms of care as Dr.Dan has exhibited a pattern of following his own ego than actual medical practices that benefit and promote health/ wellness.

What is our recourse in this situation?…read more For years we had been a patient at Beaverton Family Chiropractor, but Dan who was our Chiropractor, personnal friend and owner sadly passed and his business was sold by his wife to another Chiropractor and at that time we were given a choice whether to continue or not and they would reimbursement us for all the therapy we had paid for in advance (which is hundreds). They owe us a lot of money, and after many calls that went straight to voicemail, leaving many messages to call us back, attempting to get our money back. Finally, we used another phone, and because I believe they didn't recognize the number, they picked up only to tell us to get a lawyer, and they wouldn't discuss it any further with us. What kind of business does that?

I found Dr. Snell in a Google search, and then there were almost 40 reviews on Citysearch and most…read moreof the reviews were good so I decided to check it out as he was on my health plan. The place was very easy to find, easy to park, and very welcoming. I ended up needing to change my appointment on the day of my appointment - and they didn't give me any problems. If fact, they are so busy that when I called back later that day to try to get it back, it was gone already. So I had to wait another week just to get back in there, which made me a little sad - but it was my own fault. Dr. Snell was knowledgeable, and didn't talk down to me in any way - which I can sometimes find with the Dr. folk. The treatment was all together different from anything that I had received in the past, and it was fantastic. I really appreciate working with chiropractors that are more into the sports medicine because I feel that they are better at listening to what my body is saying - and believe you me, it has a lot to say. Plus, he takes a bit more natural route - and I didn't have to sit through a bunch of x-rays which I also hate about going to the chiropractor for the first time. Also, he did a lot of massaging, and I absolutely love that - it's definitely a better way for me to get loosened up prior to an adjustment, and for that I was thankful. After the adjustment, I got a little electrical stimulation on the problem areas and some extra perfect heating pads. They were the perfect temperature, and now I feel like I could really use a nap. The only issue that I would say is that I was cold as all get-out when I first was sitting in the exam room. It killed me. Once you start working on the adjustment though, you forget all about it. I need a good bone cracking on a regular basis and Karen delivers. A big part of her effectiveness with me comes from my complete trust in her. I don't subconsciously fight her by holding tension in whatever part she is manipulating and that yields much better results. A standard adjustment is immediately preceded by a session with a licensed massage therapist who concentrates on your problem area - makes a lot of sense to me that removing tension results in an easier, more effective adjustment. Everyone in her office is a joy to be around.
