I found Helene's online after searching for designers that I liked and made an appointment in advance with Anna. The day of, there was a mix-up between my appointment and a bride who had come in and they apologized profusely again and again for it. (Apparently people think brides are always thisclose to acting like Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters after she's taken over by Zuul). No biggie - my mother-in law and I waited for while until they finished up. I told Anna my budget, showed her the pictures she asked me to bring and she started pulling dresses out. I must have tried on at least a dozen dresses and found 2 that I liked, 1 that I loved. She helped me into each dress and took the time to pull, pinch and zip everything so that it fit as best it could. She pulled one or two dresses over my price point (but very slightly over) and told me before I tried any of them on that they were over my budget, but did I still want to try them. I appreciated this a lot because some salons a) don't ask your budget and b) will pull a dress out that is beautiful on you, until you see that the price tag is 3x what you want to pay. The salon is somewhat on the smaller side, though the room where you try on the dresses is bigger - if you are the only one in there at the time. I was able to go on a Tuesday morning and we had the place to ourselves. The dresses are lovely and the service was great, but the one thing that irks me about Helene's is that they don't allow you to take pictures of you in the dress. My mom/sister/50% of my bridesmaids live out of state and I wanted to be able to text them photos of the dresses. It might not be a huge deal for most people, but to me it was somewhat of a deal breaker. (Also, I don't get why some stores don't allow this. I will use my Nancy Drew slueth-ing skills when your back is turned to figure out the dress designer + price tag and then Google it. Age of the Internet, homies.) Overall, I enjoyed my experience there (sans the picture thing) and really appreciated the customer service and quality of dresses at Helene's. Definitely worth a visit on your dress tour!

I visited the Bridal and Prom Discount Warehouse during my search for the perfect dress and I am really glad that I did. I didn't find my dress here but my experience was one of the best I had bridal gown shopping. All of the gowns here are under $500 and their selection is quite extensive. My group and I spent a good amount of time perusing the rows upon rows of styles in my size range. The two young ladies working that day collected everything we pulled and let us take as much time as we desired picking things out. I really wish I knew their names but the two employees working that day were wonderful. It was like I had two extra girls in my entourage. They were helpful and honest and I really appreciated that. It is irritating to a point to have a consultant simply tell you how gorgeous you look in every dress. These ladies on the other hand were able to read my enthusiasm (or lack thereof) for the gowns I tried on and were able to point out things that worked for my body and those that did not. These girls were genuine and real and their authenticity was well-received with my group. I do wish that I had found my dress here because I would have LOVED to pay under $500 but alas, it was not meant to be. I absolutely recommend checking this place out. You might get lucky and fall in love with something! The dresses were in good condition, some minor defaults here and there that could be corrected during fittings and alterations. We make our way downstairs with the help of an associate here names Allison. They have 3 racks with more new style fashion , and the other 3 racks were for a bit older fashion. OH and they also have 2 smaller racks of short prim dresses , I'm sorry we were looking at longer prim dresses. The prices are super cheap, I saw dresses from 49.00-200.00. All the dresses my sister looked at were under 100.00, she didn't get anything here because she's still looking around but the one she did like was too small unfortunately. Allison was amazing she helped us as much as possible even with others being in the store as well. This place is super clean , and there's enough space to move around , the racks are packed and the dresses weigh a lot so your arm will hurt HAH! We made our way upstairs my mother insisted I start looking at wedding dresses , I am engaged but this woman is pushing for us to set a date can't you tell HAH, so go make my mother happy I looked at alllllllll the racks in my sizes , so many beautiful dresses , I was in AWE , once again Allison helped me set me and helped me with all my dresses, the one I liked had a terrible rip in the back but she said she would discount it like I said in the beginning it's a discount store so you will find flaws, but it's so worth the trip to check it out. Not only was my bridal consultant super patient during my first appointment- I never felt rushed or pressured, but Linda and my consultant were extremely accommodating. They had no problem when we came back a second time, minute before closing to show my future mother in law the front runner and even opened early so that we could come back to buy the dress before I flew home. We went to a couple of other shops just so that we didn't feel like we were "settling" but we kept coming back to the dress, and did not experience the same level of customer service any where else. I had easy experiences with the alterations and could not have been happier with my dress. I felt like Linda communicated with me through out the process and helped to make it seamless and stress free. This place is small and cozy and there are definitely a lot of options for every budget, highly recommended.

I went to Sueno about 8 months in advance of our wedding to alter my mom's wedding dress. I figured…read morethis would be plenty of time to make alterations. We would always schedule appointments in advance to try on the dress following the agreed upon alterations Unfortunately, every time I went to an appointment, no alterations were made to the dress. I was constantly promised that the alterations would be made "next time". I went to several more appointments and the same thing continued to happen, nothing was done and more promises to have it done for next time. At about 1.5 months before our wedding, I went to an appointment and was told I had to "look for my dress in the back of the store because it could not be found". After searching through the back of the store, I found the dress and once again, no alterations had been made. After leaving defeated and with more promises that the dress would be ready in time, I spoke to my mom and decided to call Sueno one day later to take the dress back and no longer wear it for the wedding. After leaving several messages, I finally got through to the store and let them know I was taking the dress back and no longer needed alterations. When it was time to pick up the dress, the dress was completely destroyed and cut up. We are not sure why this happened when nothing had been done for 8 months and I had just called a day after my appointment to say that no work was needed. In addition to destroying the dress, we were also told that we needed to pay for "all of the work done". Overall, this was a complete disaster and I do not recommend anyone to go to this place for any alterations, especially a wedding dress.
