Truly an amazing experience from my first email inquiry to the day I picked up my dress! I had been researching different bridal boutiques and shops around me and had been extremely overwhelmed until a coworker of mine recommended Sparks. I had been looking online at dress styles I was interested in and had emailed the company to see if they had one in stock. Kim, the owner, emailed me back letting me know they didn't carry that designer but they had very similar dresses in the shop. Using their online scheduling system, I scheduled my first bridal appointment. The boutique has ample parking and was pretty easy to find. Upon entering, I was greeted by Jenn who helped get an understanding of what dress style I was interested in. I was told to pick a handful of dresses and styles that I wanted to try on and she grabbed each one and placed them in a dressing room for me. I had the entire boutique to myself and had such an amazing one on one experience! She helped me get into each dress and we narrowed it down to two dresses. A big reason why I decided to come here was because i read reviews for other boutiques that try to pressure the customer into buying something and Sparks Bridal was different. I never once felt pressured to buy anything. They understood that I was just looking to see what my options were and to get a feel for what my style was. Not knowing where to begin, I started looking at reviews for local bridal salons. Spark had the most positive reviews and I worried it was too good to be true. I showed up for appointment with my mom, MOH, and some bridesmaids and was greeted by Kim and Jen. We had the place to ourselves and lots of great options. I was worried about sizing or not being allowed to try on as many as I want, and let me tell you the staff did the most amazing job to make me feel comfortable, happy, and supported. The owners of the store are lovely and they really personalized the dress finding experience. I never felt pressured by them to find a dress (even though I did get my wedding dress here!), and they took the feedback I had from trying on dresses that I didn't like as much to finally match me with the perfect dress! As a plus size bride, I was absolutely dreading the wedding dress shopping experience. I had been to a couple other salons with pretty terrible results. Then I came here. I had the most incredible time trying on tons of dresses - the selection really impressed me. Kim and Laura were knowledgeable, kind, and fun! Fast forward to 2023 and we were so excited to return for my dress shopping. Laura made me feel special at my appointment. I can't describe how amazed I was by this experience - my first shopping for bridal gowns with my daughter. With every dress the owner asked, "What do you like? What don't you like?" Within minutes she appeared with one or two dresses that had what she liked, and didn't have what she didn't like. She knows her stock so well. She did no upselling. She brought out what worked, sometimes a little more, often a little less than the previous dress. We were hesitant to commit as it was our first stop and there was zero pressure. I came to Spark with my mom after having been to 5 other bridal stores and who knows how many dresses - I felt like I would never find what I wanted and had some unpleasant experiences feeling pressured to buy expensive dresses I didn't like, having stylists tell me dresses would look great if I took a few pounds off, etc. So I was pretty desperate when we finally came here, and we were blown away. I am not the bride, but have made a couple visits here with the bridge to be. It has been a great experience every time. First of all, I like to shop local. And this is a local family owned shop, so I was already excited before I even got there. The dresses were neat and organized. Earlier in the day we had visited another shop in Mass. but I felt like I was watching the staff man handle the dresses and you could see small tears. Yes, they are for purchase as is and marked down from original cost, but they could at least be gentle with them! Spark dresses all looked like they were in great condition. When we first walked in it looked as though there wasn't a huge selection and I was kind of worried, but there were more in the back. The staff was friendly, and helpful. And super patient, which is important when dealing with women who are buying an expensive item, and most likely the most important article of clothing they are ever going to wear. Laura and Kim moved really fast getting my friend in and out of dresses. (And I kind of enjoyed the mother daughter dynamic.) They encouraged her to try stuff she might not have thought she would like, without being pushy or forceful. It seemed she just wanted to make sure that the bride was sure, and that she didn't rule out a style without seeing it on her body first. The dress my friend ended up with was perfect, it had the pretty back she was looking for and flatters her body. I also LOVE THE SPARKLERS! We went back recently to look for a veil, and again Laura was great. She quickly pulled a few to try, and then when my friend questioned why she chose the veils she did, she pulled out the whole rack and explained why she pulled the 5 she did and showed a few that she didn't pull and explained why she didn't. When my friend wasn't sure about the veil, we were able and encouraged to leave and take time to think about it. The whole thing felt really personal. I came in with my mom at the recommendation of another bride. On top of being so nice, accommodating, and not pushy at all, the owner remembered the other bride clearly, which was such a great sign that she builds great relationships with her clients. This was one of my first bridal appointments so I didn't have a great idea what I wanted. My stylist (one of the owners) let me look at all the dresses and did a really great job finding other dresses based on the characteristics I liked. When the dresses weren't the right color or unlined, she'd let me know if they could be ordered in ivory and helped me visualize how they would look with a slip of fabric. The store had more than enough dresses for us to have options for basically any type of dress I wanted to see. The owner was so generous with her time and let me try on something like 10 dresses while we narrowed in on the silhouette and other details I liked, all the while giving me very good feedback about what she thought was flattering. I cannot say enough nice things about my experience at Spark Bridal Outlet. I had two appointments with Kim before purchasing my gown here. My mom and I were about 15 minutes late to our first appointment (and we were the last appointment of the day), but both Kim and Laura pampered us and took their time showing me my options (which were all lovely), never rushing us at all. I loved a gown I tried on, but was in my first day of shopping and was nervous about making a decision so quickly. Neither of them pushed me AT ALL to purchase then and there. In fact, I was encouraged to take time to think about it. After trying on countless gowns at other bridal salons, my mom and I kept coming back to the dress at Spark. So I booked an appointment to revisit "the dress", this time with a larger group of women. Upon arrival, Kim suggested that I try on a few other gowns as well, to give my entourage a fun experience. Totally unnecessary and very thoughtful. We ended with the gown I had returned to see, and Kim again took her time showing us different ways to wear it and accessorize it. A few important things to make note of that I think other brides will find helpful: 1.) Spark offers a very wide selection of sample sizes, so brides are able to try on gowns that FIT rather than being clipped in (or stuffed in) to gowns that do not fit. This is so so so helpful. I am a curvier bride (anywhere between a 12-16 in women's clothing) with boobs and a butt, and they had beautiful gowns that accentuated my curves rather than trying to camouflage them. I went to some bridal salons that made me feel badly about my size with comments like "Oh. We keep the larger gowns in the back away from the sales floor" or "We don't have much in YOUR size." There was not ONE mention of anything negative about my body at Spark. Only positives. 2.) The gown I purchased was chosen by Kim, within 2 minutes of our initial consultation. She said "I have a gown that would look incredible on you," and went to pull it right away. When my mom and I saw it on the hanger, we both thought it was "eh", but tried it on anyway. Kim was absolutely right. Her pick put all our picks to shame. I think this is so important in a bridal consultant, because we, as brides, are going to pull gowns that look closest to the pictures we've seen of dresses we like. Kim achieved the look I was going for in a dress that looked completely different than those I had been looking at. 3.) I was never ONCE pushed to buy a thing or "pitched" at all. In fact, I was told "Do not try to make any of our dresses into what you want. There will be a dress out there that is the dress for you, without having to completely change it." This was HUGE for me. And so appreciated. I am so glad the dress I fell in love with came from Spark. I really wanted to give them my business, and am so happy I was able to. Everyone close to me that knows about my shopping experience with this perfect little boutique is completely set on making this their first stop when they begin the search for their dress. There was a girl there before me trying on her potential wedding dresses, and they were stunning! She picked her dress that day and had tears coming down her face. The dress was a beautiful A line with lace long sleeves. But every dress she tried on was perfect! As for myself, I had already tried on dozens of dresses at other stores, but none of them seemed like the right dress. Some were also very expensive! Spark Bridal has wonderful prices for stunning dresses. The dress I wore on my wedding day, Laura and Kim had picked it out for me. It is so hard to pick a dress and visualize it on a hanger! What a wonderful experience! I came up to RI from NC to search for my daughters wedding dress. When I got to RI I did some Yelp research and found Spark Bridal Outlet. All the reviews were spot on! My daughter explained to Laura what she was looking for and she pulled three dresses for her. The first one she showed Sarah was the first one Laura thought of when my daughter told her what she was looking for. It was beautiful! The second dress was gorgeous but not the one.
