We're usually not in this area of Carrboro but stopped by with an offer from a local dining club. It was packed on a chilly Saturday morning. We got some coffee drinks and a "stuffed bagle." It was too cold to sit outside so it was packed inside. While waiting, a two-top opened up so we got it. For a small space, we were surprised by the variety of baked offerings. Finally, the cafe/coffee shop/bakery Carrboro has needed. Tried the mushroom-potato borek, filling was softer and less chunky than I've had before, but still tasty. Quality of drip coffee and lattes. We went there at 1:45pm order an almond croissant which was very good, gluten free banana bread was ok. Drip coffee was so bitter and not even hot and when I asked the barista if she had a blonde or light roast drip coffee she said no although I told her that coffee was not good and very bitter. She didn't even offer to brew fresh coffee or give us something different. My lavender almond latte was good in flavor but just warm. First time coming here and we definitely were not impressed :( read more

Even Dough was wonderful! I emailed her the Tuesday before Thanksgiving about a cake for the following Monday and she was incredibly responsive. I sent her inspiration pictures and she nailed it. It was reasonably priced (originally 80 and then I added more words so the total was 90). I don't love chocolate cake so I don't think it's fair I review the taste but it was very good and everyone raved about the cake and cookies and cream buttercream. She was flexible about pick up time and was so kind. I definitely will be ordering cakes from her again in the future! read more

The food was excellent , the outdoor seating pleasant but the ordering process on a busy day was chaotic. The line flow wasn't orderly , the one cashier was overwhelmed and as a result remarkably rude to my family . I am not sure why we stayed and completed our rather large and expensive order . I hope the business eventually has ceramic plates as the goods are too expensive , too nice to serve on paper plates . It is likely a great place for custom creations, but doesn't make sense for coffee and a croissant when there are other cheaper and equivalent choices with equal or greater ambiance. Even Dough is the bakery that Carrboro has needed for years. All of the mini-desserts that I have tried have been amazing and delicious. The tarts and chocolate Babka are to die for! I recently ordered the key lime pie for my mother's birthday and the exact quote from the first bite was, "OMG, this is absolutely DEVINE!!!" The website is fantastic. Super easy to order and customize and the photos are unbelievable. Meital has done an amazing job in bringing this store and her gift to Carrboro. The customer service is unparalleled. Inside, the store is beautiful with lots of tables, chairs and natural light. Outside, there is plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy sunny, warm days. I was there on a Saturday and it was packed!
