You're booked. They also are accurate with wait time quotes. You don't need an appointment, but it's best you call ahead so you can know how long your wait may be and then the actually call you when it's your turn. They have RAPID testing AND PCR. Their tests are more accurate than a drive-thru testing place. Physicians are very well informed and are able to answer any question you have. Front desk also very informative and helpful. Overall, great clinic!

We called ahead for a simple sports physical and were told to come in. After waiting around an hour and a half, we were unable to get the physical completed. We were then told by the manager to return the next day and assured that it would be taken care of. We came back as instructed, only to experience another unnecessary wait. What really made the experience worse was the lack of professionalism and communication from the staff. At one point, the nurse addressed me by saying, "Hey, come here, come here," which I found extremely disrespectful and inappropriate. I understand that emergencies happen and that ERs can get busy, but this was a simple sports physical, and the entire process was unnecessarily difficult. If you value your time and expect professional customer service, I would recommend going somewhere else. Pay a little more and save yourself the frustration.

A week into my recovery, the wrap covering my leg from knee to toes began to come loose -- something my doctor said could be carefully re-wrapped, but which would be extremely difficult for me to manage on my own due to the extent of my injuries. I came to OnPoint, expecting to receive a few minutes of basic assistance and was stunned when the clerk conferred with the medical staff and informed me that re-wrapping is "not something they get involved with." When I said that I found it hard to believe they would prefer I go home and attempt this myself rather than offer minimal help, I received only a shrug. Since I can't drive myself -- it is my right ankle that is broken -- I had to arrange to be be taken to AFC Urgent Care on Weslayan, where the staff took a few moments to assess my situation and re-wrapped the loosened area without hesitation. They even invited me to return if the wrap should come loose again before my follow-up appointment. I understand urgent care facilities have limitations, but refusing to spend five minutes assisting a patient with a serious fracture -- particularly one who cannot simply drive herself elsewhere -- reflects poorly on this practice. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend OnPoint to anyone in a vulnerable sitution.

It's for individuals who are low income and who have minimum coverage. If you have the gold card appointment visits copay is $3.00 each visit. If you are unable to pay, the patient access representative will tell you, you may be billed for $3.00, however; often times that is covered by a charity. They have a specialized team, that can help you with all your needs. The doctors and nurses are very good and will listen to your needs. If you feel you got rushed out of your appointment you can always request for a new doctor. Keep this in mind. There is a pharmacy and food farmacy (I think it's called) where you'll be able to get food and medicine. You'll have to have a prescription. When you walk into the doors take a right and pass through the doors to see the food-like bank and take a slip to wait for your number to be called. The therapist on site specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the sessions are very short. Once you speak with a receptionist, you'll be prompt to go to the waiting area A, B, C, or D. I would like to formally express my frustration regarding my ultrasound appointment today…read more I had a scheduled ultrasound appointment, and I made a significant effort to attend. I am currently pregnant and had a very difficult night and was unable to sleep well because of my pregnancy. I also do not have my own transportation, so I depend on someone else to take me to my appointments. The clinic is normally about 30 minutes away, but because of traffic, the trip took approximately one hour today. When I arrived at the clinic, I was informed at the front desk that the person performing my ultrasound was sick and would not be there. I completely understand that people get sick, and I am not upset with the employee for being ill. What I am upset about is that the clinic did not notify me before my appointment. If the clinic knew that the ultrasound provider was unavailable, I should have been contacted so that I would not have to arrange transportation, spend an hour traveling to the clinic, and go through all of that physical effort while pregnant, only to find out when I arrived that my appointment could not take place. I also find this especially frustrating because patients are charged a $30 fee if they miss an appointment without providing sufficient notice. I understand the importance of keeping appointments and notifying the clinic when we cannot attend. However, I believe that the same consideration and responsibility should be expected from the clinic. Patients should be notified as soon as possible when an appointment is cancelled or cannot be fulfilled. Patients have their own circumstances, transportation difficulties, work schedules, health issues, and personal sacrifices that the clinic may not see. In my case, getting to this appointment required considerable effort and coordination, especially because I am in the later stages of pregnancy and do not have reliable personal transportation. I am asking that the clinic please review what happened today and consider improving its communication system so that patients are notified promptly when an appointment is cancelled or a provider is unavailable.
