I had a great experience with eveready transportation. I booked my rides with Reggie, he was pleasant and took all my info. He then sent me an email confirmation - which i love - very organized. On the day of my trip my driver called and introduced himself before showing up. Rocky was on time and all business. The car was clean and there was a water bottle waiting for me. I arrived at my destination on time and safe. Afterward i received an email from Paul with my receipt and a request for some feedback on how they did. On my return trip I had a text from Louis as soon as i landed. He let me know his phone number/location/car and license number. He was totally professional and got us home safely. ABOMINABLE service, VILE and DISHONEST employees On MLK day, I called THREE times on the 9:08pm Grand Central train to New Canaan to make sure I could get a taxi. The first time the woman told me to call when I'm closer to the station. I call back a second time to confirm that there would definitely be a driver available at that time, she says yes. I call a third time at 10pm to tell her I was going to be at the station in 15 minutes. She rudely tells me to stop calling until I'm at the train station because there would be taxis there, and if there weren't I could call to request one. My boyfriend and I get to the station, it's freezing outside, town is dead, and there are no taxis. I call them back and they tell me that all of their drivers are off and no one can pick us up. I tell them how I called and spoke to the same woman THREE times to confirm we could get a ride because my parents were away on vacation with all of their friends, and none of my friends live in NC anymore, and we would be stranded at the station. They couldn't care less. My boyfriend and I were stranded outside in the freezing cold for 45 minutes as I called around to every taxi and limo service with no success. Had Eveready Cab told me THE TRUTH, that they wouldn't send a taxi at 10:15pm, I would've called a car service in advance to get us. Finally, I called Darien taxi who told me no drivers would want to drive all the way to New Canaan. I started crying on the phone telling him how we were left stranded and cold and had no other options and offered to pay extra. The extraordinarily kind man, Lloyd, said, "you know what I'm going to do, I'm going to come there and pick you up myself." And thank god he did. Seriously, Eveready Cab of New Canaan should be put out of business. What kind of taxi service guarantees a pick up, and then knowingly screws a person out of a ride and allows them to be stranded in the freezing cold? And furthermore, doesn't give a damn? I am disgusted with this company and their rude, lying, vile employees. read more

I used to call this company every time I needed a ride when i lived in Norwalk and Stamford which was at least once a week. I'm done with them permanently now thanks to how they treat customers and their call center office. I'm very flexible with hours and pick ups, called them 40 minutes early for a ride to the train(5 minutes away), was told to be ready and sure enough, i wait and wait and wait. Call again, ask where driver was and was told coming soon. Said i had to catch a train and they didn't need to delay driver.. Guy finally shows up, he was nice but probably due to the fact he was 30 minutes late and i said i was going to miss my train. Missed my train, shouldn't have even paid driver for ride but wasn't in a place to argue and was hoping train was running late. Had mixed drivers with this place, some guys are great and other take you on long routes to get more money and play dumb when you call them out. I LIVE HERE ASSHOLE. Had one guy make my friend pay at his residence and then kept meter on and made me pay full at mine, place isn't right. read more

HIGHLY UNRELIABLE SERVICE I requested a cab half an hour in advance. 1 hour later, the taxi had not arrived. What made the experience worse is the fact that when I called to find out what happened, they put me on hold and never picked up my call. I tried calling 6 more times and they hung up on me. Therefore they never explained why the taxi never arrived. They are very rude and highly unreliable. I will not be using this service again. read more

I called to get a cab for 9:45 am at 9:00 am. They came right on time, the cab was clean, and the driver was incredibly considerate. It was a completely reasonable price for where I was going and I never felt like I was being ripped off for time! I'd definitely use them again. read more

There could not be a worse cab service. Called at 8 AM for an 830 pick up they arrived at 8:50 forcing me to miss my train wait an hour for the next one and be late for work. The drivers have a hard time communicating so they don't understand the addresses. My advice is to find another service that is more reliable read more

Is there a way I can post a NEGATIVE REVIEW?!?! I took an uber from my hotel to a restaurant and it was $30. These guys pick me up, after saying there was a quoted price that I had agreed upon of $80. That never happened. I then get in the car and he has NO IDEA where he is going and keeps asking me for directions. I am a single woman in a car in a small town where I am not from. I have no idea where I am going. I pull up Google maps and he goes down 2 separate roads. I called his headquarters which hung up on me. Not to mention the business card is printed on a piece of printer paper...I am in the back of this guy's car now and have no idea where I will end up. Don't take this company. read more

Awful company!!!!! Drivers are rude and threaten customers to leave them stranded with no ride if they do not comply with sharing with strangers. They don't use Meters and pickets all cash while forcing riders on their agenda. GET UBER Get anything else. read more

I never write reviews, but we had such a horrible experience I feel it's important for other people to know. Initially calling, it took about 20 minutes just to get someone on the phone. (The phone just kept ringing) The driver arrived within 5 minutes (which was great); but he stopped in front of our house and honked, then drove all the way down to the bottom of the street honking leaving us to run after him. We gave him the address to the restaurant and he took a much longer route than was necessary. When we were getting out, we asked him if we could just call later on to be picked up and he told us to call his cell and that he'd be happy to come back for us. We were a little hesitant, but took his number just in case. Around 1:30 am, we called him and asked if he was in the area and he said he would come back for a $30.00 fee. (From our house to the restaurant even with him taking the long way, it only cost $11.45) We hung up and tried calling back the Main number, and no answer. We tried calling about 5 or 6 times. Luckily, another taxi happened to pull up so we were able to get home. I called Eveready the next day and asked them what their operating hours were, and they said in Stamford they operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I guess that wasn't the case the one night we tried to use their services. read more
