They do not tell you which answers you got wrong on tests or quizzes, so you are left wondering and guessing. That is unacceptable for a premium private college. I am transferring to a community college next quarter, so save your money. Don't say I didn't warn you. I read the reviews and still gave them a chance. The course was amazing, hard work, long hours, but I walked away knowing how to write a business plan suitable to pitch to VCs. I am back to take the course a second time to offer myself the rigorous structure I require to flesh out another business concept. If you are a budding or experienced entrepreneur looking to sharpen the tools in your tool box, I would HIGHLY recommend checking out the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship. It's not a "regular" certification program. You will walk away with more than knowledge, you will be connected with a network of entrepreneurs and investors. *review for track and cemetery*…read more So...my fatass recently began a "running" (read, "walking/jogging") program. Long story short, I needed a nearby track with lighting to run on at night. After calling all the local high/middle schools and hearing a whole bunch of "no's", one finally suggested Eastfield. Awesome! Their track is essentially a really long (one mile, I believe) sidewalk with squishy rubber track stuff on it. Its not your typical oval- its long and squiggly, and wraps around two "lakes", some trees, and some sporting courts. There are nice quarter mile markers to help you judge your workout, too. Everyone is super considerate and will move when they see you coming past them (the track is about two people wide). Its mostly lighted, but some lights are out and this is not the *best* area, so be mindful-however, there is an emergency pager located about 3/8ths into the track, and I have seen a cop sitting in his car the whole time I'm out there before, so I haven't felt unsafe. Around the track there are tennis courts which are open to use by anyone, a water fountain, and what I found to be a workout/stretch park? I don't know what to call it....it looks like an outdoor gym thats missing weights. I use it to stretch out before and after jog/walks. Closer to the road you'll find the Motley family cemetery. This is a neat little spot inside a wrought-iron fence. The sign has a nice bit of history- 25 plots in the cemetery now, for the Motley family (the roads namesake) and their slaves. It is still used, as well. All in all a great place to relax and have a nice mile (or two or three) long run/walk/jog :)

I had felt called clearly to full time ministry, And so I left my job as an engineer with the Air Force, and with the blessing of our home church and with my wife in agreement we headed for Texas from upstate NY. The seminary was very helpful with finding housing, providing food and other things when needed through an outreach program on the campus. Each semester that I returned to the campus I had tears in my eyes I was so thankful to be there. I often called the professor's "pastors" because that was the heart that they had. I'm not saying it was easy working a part time job teaching preschoolers in day care centers spread all over the metroplex, a janitor at Schofield Memorial Church, and Managing a subway shop and West Fort Worth, and driving an old car from Arlington to Dallas every other day and during summers. But it was a great blessing I will not forget. The Lord led me to use my life and training from DTS at a Christian prep school in Arlington 6 years, as a caregiver at a home for paraplegic and quadriplegic young men, as a youth minister in a Korean church in Irving, and an Asian church in Sugar Land near Houston, at a small church in Lake Placid New York, and another small church in Shirley MA for five years. My last 15 years of "service" were in a school for at risk teens in Euless TX, and here I felt the Lord grow me more than I both deserved and could imagine to help and be blessed by these young people looking who were just looking for a second chance in life. In closing I'll say that DTS not only had great professors, but the curriculum guaranteed that you got to go through every book of the Bible before you graduated. 2 Timothy 4:2

She has specific time slots that need to be filled and you can choose which time slots works w your schedule. I believe you have to show up 15 minutes before your massage to fill out a questionnaire. They are located in the H.P.E. building. I'm assuming it stands for the Heath and Physical Education Building. The massage room is nice and spacious. It's dark and cool inside. Each space is divided by curtain so, you can hear the dialogue going on with the person next to you and know if they enjoyed the massage too. Lol. My Massage Therapist had great energy. She was a Medium sized Asian and warned me of her heavy hand. I told her no, I'm not a fan of that. She said, ok, I'll make sure to be soft. She did an incredible job. It was relaxing and comforting. Soft music plays in the background as you get your massage. I rembering hearing a Christian Instrumental Song. I just can't think of the name but, it was nice to recognize the tune. Afterwards, you fill out a Post Massage Therapy assessment form then your good to go! I would definitely recommend a Massage from this College.

She pretty much hung up on me and never once said her name or asked for mine. If this is any indication of the staff at this supposedly stellar school, color me unimpressed. I would never want my child to be treated the way this woman treated me. I started crying as soon as she hung up on me. I think I was stunned at being treated so rudely.

LIFT is an amazing nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the literacy abilities of its…read morestudents by teaching them skills to pass their GED exams, thereby attaining better jobs to support themselves and their families. For the past two years, I've been proud to volunteer as an adult basic literacy instructor. The class is centered around teaching adults basic phonics so they can progress to a level of reading and spelling multi-syllable words. However, LIFT also offers courses at other levels, including pre-GED, ESL (English as a Second Language), and family classes in partnership with DISD. Almost all classes are offered at the Main Campus at the Opportunity Center in south Dallas, but there are several ESL classes all across the Dallas metroplex. LIFT has an amazing mission, and they are more than willing to equip those who want to volunteer with the appropriate training. When I see my students excel or grasp a new concept, I can't help but feel that LIFT has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life thus far. If you're looking for a way to give back to the community, I highly recommend checking out LIFT and how you can become involved with this wonderful organization!
