I have been having problems with that company lately and looked up someone who could do this work and others and i was immensely pleased with their work ethic and knowledge and personableness. very friendly and put me at ease about problem I was having and how to fix it. also let me know of subscription option that was much, much less expensive than the company I was using! So glad i found them again. told tech to tell management he needed a raise!

My furnace is a high-efficiency condensing furnace, yet they never installed the condensate drain line-- a huge mistake -- it's not only dangerous, but totally embarrassing to overlook such an important part of the installation! I had Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating come out for a furnace tune up, and their technician, Scott realized the issue. The motor in my furnace was underwater due to the lack of the drain and my furnace wouldn't turn on. I called Steele Bros Heating to fix the problem, and they placed the blame on me, saying I should have had the furnace inspected and that because I didn't have them out once a year for maintenance, they would also void my warranty. I immediately called the City of Boulder inspectors to figure out what to do. They were appalled that a HVAC company wouldn't take responsibility for such a gross error and said it was definitely a civil case. In the meantime, Mountain Valley Plumbing & Heating offered to come out and do the labor to install the condensate drain and fix the motor free of charge! Vice President, JD stated he felt that was the right thing to do and wanted to help out. Scott came back out, installed the drain line and fixed the motor. I will always work with Mt Valley moving forward!

When the fires cleared and the all clear was given everything was turned back on, again remote by someone we asked. When we managed to finally get out we noticed out pressure pump was running and running and running. We suspected a back flow or something had gone south during the power outage and water on/off. So we manually turned the pump on and off as needed. We also put a call to the plumber. The gentleman who cam out was very professional and wore a mask. We asked about rough pricing for a new pump. He told us the numbers but said not to rush in to things as he has not checked everything out. We told him what was going on and then left him to do what was needed. He called us back down about 15 minutes later... we were ready for the worst. He took a moment to show that he could turn on the pump AND it would not run and run! Magic! No, all the bypasses were open and the pump could not generate enough pressure to shut off. He should use the 5 cut off valves and the explained the flow of water according to what was open and what was shut. In other words, it was human error and not mechanical failure. So while we were ready to sign a check he was not ready to take one. We ended up paying for the hour of the lesson. Awesome running in to a professional that educates a customer instead of taking advantage of them . I am 100% sure I know who I will call in the future.

I also learn so much after every interaction. Today's education point was the grey matter clog and abyss between my dishwasher and garage disposal. Haha. No flood or damage when fixing things. In and out the first time. Definitely leave all things plumbing to the experts. These folks 1000%!!! Highly, highly recommend!!!!
