This company was randomly contacted on my behalf through Yelp Projects. I submitted a thorough description and photo of the (very simple) work - replace a leaking 90-degree shark bite fitting at my water meter. Limelight refused to provide a quote, saying they "had to have a tech on site" to give me an estimate; wouldn't even ballpark it or tell me the callout fee. While I appreciate the Rush reference, it had nothing to do with my overall experience. After a clog I couldn't clear or snake myself, I had them out to look and they quickly determined it was a grease clog and needed a different method to clear. We scheduled the work, they came and did it at the price quoted, and were super friendly. Presto, problem sorted. After a couple of poor experiences in the past with other Fly by Night plumbers who were Nobody's Hero, it was nice to have it done quickly with a professional crew. I scheduled to have my A/C and furnace serviced. After the technician finished, I received an "inspection "report that was nothing more than a report explaining how old the system is and how it may not last much longer.... but it's currently functioning fine. No service was performed as I asked, just a "let me scare you and tell you how old your system is so I can sell you a new one". When I asked why service had not been done as I requested, I was told "there must have been a misunderstanding, I can have the technician call you". When I spoke to the technician he explained again that the system is old and if he had to take things apart to clean it, "things might break", but he would do it for around $1000! This is the second time I've used Limelight's services and, again, they were wonderful to work with. Cody came out and addressed a water heater leak that could have ended in a huge mess. He thoroughly explained what options I had and the pros and cons of both. In the end, we had a new water heater installed. They worked with my tenant to get things done as quickly as possible. So, we called around and had a few companies come out to give us an assessment, and Savannah from Limelight not only confirmed our issue and gave us a reasonable price, but also gave us key safety advice before she left. Savannah was equal parts professional and personable, and she is the exact reason we called Limelight back to have our furnace replaced. On the day of the replacement, she and Taran were timely, courteous, and on the ball all day. We both work from home, and there were little to no interruptions during our day. They gave us a thorough walk-through at the end of it all. I had a terrible, terrible experience with Lion Home Service, who screwed me out of $4700 for a repair that didn't actually fix my AC unit. Limelight, meanwhile, did a terrific job being honest and transparent with me about what was wrong with my AC system and how to fix it. They were happy to show me how they test the system, set clear expectations, and charged a reasonable price for what I was getting (a new condenser coil, which doesn't come cheap no matter where you look). AC repairs suck, but it's at least reassuring to have honest people provide professional service. I would look no further than Limelight Services for your HVAC needs! read more
