Aggie came out, told me what they were going to do, how much it was going to cost, and did the job. Second, I got a spoon stuck in my garbage disposal. Something that I probably could have taken a couple hours and fixed, but unfortunately, I don't have the time to do it. Aggie came out, took off the disposal, and removed the spoon without having to replace the entire disposal. Lastly, I installed new sinks in my home, and some of the pipes were not long enough to connect with the sink drains. Therefore Aggie came out, assessed the situation, and completed the job in about two hours, saving me hundreds off what other local businesses were quoting me. They did not work on disposals and recommended Glenn at Chambers Plumbing. Recommendation from a peer was a strong first impression. Glenn answered right away when I called and was able to get Austin out to my house that afternoon. Austin was exceptionally thorough, helpful and clean. An hour later, they canceled, saying the best they could do was Monday. Now it is WAY late, and I have a tenant that is freezing, the pipes might also freeze in the house, and I am stuck scrambling around trying to find someone to do a late emergency repair. Their only suggestion was to call another company that has a reputation for being horrible. This used to be a reputable company, but now they have new management that is part of another big "group". It is hard to find anyone who is willing to do this work; no one seems to be familiar with the powered anode rods. I was referred to them by Yelp Projects. They responded almost immediately to my Yelp request, and were able to come out the next day. Their communication is excellent; I got numerous messages confirming my appointment and letting me know the technician was on the way, as well as a follow-up call to check that everything was satisfactory. My only gripe (for which I knocked off a star) is that they are very expensive, even as plumbers go. They charged $857 for a 1-1/4 hour job, for which I provided the materials. One nice feature, though, is that they do flat-rate pricing based on the job and not on time, so you know in advance how much it is going to cost.
