This is such an incredible opportunity as you work very closely with the coaches to perfect every detail of your lift. Pretty much meathead on benches with talkative attitude and leans Guys/gals on squat for 30mins. I'm glad there are no deadlift or maybe I haven't seen one doing it. Seriously 250lbs dude bench 275lbs are not impressive or guys took 5mins on rest and bench some 245lbs with arch back bench press for 1-2reps was a joke. Or 140lbs dude bench 135lbs & took 5mins each rest. This was all happened at same time maybe faith bought them together. Skip this gym for your own gain. I gave two stars because of the easy sign up trial I'm glad it didn't cost me anything but make me missed out to bench with my friend for my 275lbs bench.

One pool is basically a splash type pool for free swim. they also have a designated lap pool, which is what I am interested in. The third is an outside pool, which I have not used however, summer is approaching and I will check it out, but I assume it's gonna be for family and children on hot days more than someone like myself that swims laps. The facility is very large, but has tight parking. It is located behind downtown Malden. The staff throughout the facility all seem very nice and always try to be helpful. Be prepared when school lets out for there to be a lot of extra activity here as that's one of the high populated times of the day toddlers and highschoolers alike.

But if you want to establish a feasible workout routine and make the most out of your workouts, join this gym. Before GISFW I never worked out regularly. I belonged to the YMCA but only went about 5 times in the year I had a membership. Now, I'm on a regular workout schedule 1 hour a day, 3 days a week which I've never had in my life. This place really helps you establish a routine and holds you accountable. If you're not showing up to appointments, there are consequences! When I don't workout on Monday, I actually miss it and I feel off. I'm so grateful to all the women (both staff and members) for making this a friendly, non-intimidating gym atmosphere. Half the time I'm getting a great ab workout from laughter! You can choose how often you want to work out, and fit it into own schedule. It's completely customizable to your needs. I've been searching for a gym in this area for a while, trying everything from cheap gyms with tons of equipment to class lead circuit training but nothing really worked for me or got me appreciating a workout until developing a routine here. My fitness level and how I've felt about my body has yo-yoed my whole life. During the pandemic I fell into a particularly lazy cycle and could not find motivation on my own to come out of it. I've worked with Mel, Mark, and James and have come out of all sessions feeling better (exhausted, but better) about my body. Although I'm usually a bit too out of breath to talk, every trainer is easy to talk to which obviously makes going into a work out way more enjoyable. They also each demonstrate professionalism and knowledge that make me confident that I'm making the right decision following this program and that I'm safe in each movement. Looking forward to continuing my 2x weekly routine here the foreseeable future!

I enjoy tracking my heart rate and making sure I am trying to reach my max in every workout. If you are a first timer, it takes a little bit more time to customize your heart rate to your reader, but well worth it! 2. Awesome instructors like Sue and Thom! They motivated me and since I feel like I am always new, they gave me extra attention to make sure I was doing the exercises right and made me feel welcome! 3. There is a gym you can use in addition to the classes, which I never took advantage off, but it had cardio and strength machines. My only complaint is that the price of $25-30 per class can be steep! That pass is not really a day pass and covers one class only. It is best to take advantage of deals, like they have an awesome NY deal, or ClassPass. Overall, a great gym and you should try it for yourself, especially if you live in Melrose!
