Interestingly, with Sand Point Country Club the conversation revolved around pool set-up, concessions, and human interactions. As I aged into my teenage years, I started to pick up on this more. Windows served as the barrier between the pool deck and a parking lot below, which made some people with a fear of heights slightly nauseous. So, they would sit with their backs turned to parking lot and not turn around. The line for concessions was well organized and marked off and concessions prices were decent. If I wanted to not spend too much money, I would bring most of my food/snacks from home and get one thing. Towards the end of my time on the team, the human interactions conversation was geared towards concern over upwards mobility in swimming. A couple of the other girls/women wanted to go further but did not like the tactics USA Swimming used of publicity stunt relationships where people were paired with whoever USA Swimming wanted instead of who they were really with to paint a picture of what swimming in America "should" look like. They sent off some very strong vibes of blaming country club culture, which in our summer league swimming meant Sand Point. I have encountered the "should" (also known as obligation or entitled) culture outside of swimming and Sand Point, so that was not a personal problem I had. However, it did direct conversation while here. Locker rooms were clean and would get dirtier during the swim meet, though staff still ran their locker room sweeps and stayed on top of it as best they could. The ribbons station was easy to find and tended to not get too backed up. The area around the starting blocks was not too cramped. Event numbers were displayed high up and were easy to see from across the pool. Bleacher seating was available.

They literally didn't even let me perform any of the work in interview for line Cook or banquet they just put me on peeling potatoes and breaking up in peapods and then made me wait 14 days just to get no response about the job had high hopes for this place being they shouldn't have these kinds of issues with the budget and the hourly rate they can pay employees I heard bad things being said about me and my one eye by other cooks and I feel like sticking me on peeling potatoes and breaking up in peapods how does one show their true skills when that's all they're able to do. Chef Chaz and Chef Chris need to learn a little bit of respect for others that was the most waste of time I've ever experienced and the most disrespect I've had from other line cooks. My sister and her bf are members and they golf and enjoy the pool facilities regularly and say they're fantastic. I've been impressed with the beautiful grounds, killer views of the lake, and high-end menu at the restaurant. As mentioned, the grounds are really lovely and well maintained. Lush green grass, mature natural trees, and views of the water throughout the resort. The Terrace restaurant is positioned on the hill with perfect lakeside views from the beautiful dining room. There's also a patio space which we had lunch on one day where we got to enjoy both the refreshing breeze from the water and the gorgeous sunshine. Both times I've dined here we've had professional friendly service and it's been super easy ordering gluten free items from their menu. I've savored their fresh ingredient seasonal salad, the salmon fillet with a delicious champagne beurre blanc sauce, the steak salad was incredible with perfectly cooked sirloin and blue cheese vinaigrette, and some yummy street tacos. Pretty much everything I've had here was spot on. Looking forward to my next visit so I can further explore the menu and join the little sister for some pool time.

Looked into it and got one, now there is a long waiting list. The restaurants and service are always excellent and are a great value. The prime rib is the best value in town in my opinion. I also want to credit the one paid employee who's name I can't recall (Yulie? Lulie?), and the volunteers who were extremely nice and did their best to be helpful when we rented the venue for my daughter's wedding. Bless you, ladies. The positives: The venue itself is a pleasant banquet hall with a pool downstairs, a full kitchen, and a divided loft upstairs. The banquet room overlooks a beautiful, panoramic view of the water. The room itself is a blank canvas. It can be dressed up or dressed down to suit your needs. This place is a bargain. You do your own catering from their kitchen, which has everything you need, including chaffing dishes. Their fees are a fraction of what other venues charge. And, they provide everything for the set up, except the linens. The negatives. To be fair, there are mot many. The biggest problem is the volunteers who are not always professional. Most of them were very sweet and helpful, and they are apreciated. But there were several times when there were miscommunications which causes needless stress. The worst experience came while we were setting up, and this crabby old bat working the front desk kept yelling at our children. First, she objected to them playing outside. Then she objected to them playing upstairs. Then, when one of them was playing in the hallway, she yelled so loudly, she could be heard throughout the building. I had told her, repeatedly, to not yell at the kids, but to tell me or any of the adults. I never asked her to babysit. I never said not to correct them if she saw them acting badly. But yelling, name calling, insults and threats? I wasn't having it. She discovered that raising her voice at me was a very bad idea. Had it not been for that incident, I would've given this venue a higher rating.
