Last week, my machine was returned for a pedal problem and a check up. At the point of return-delivery, I noticed a plastic bag and a zip tie on a hydraulic hose. I asked the driver why it was on there. The driver called Andy (my service rep)at Wesco Turf who said it was leaking. I said it wasn't leaking when you picked up the machine and at the point your shop noticed a problem.. why did no one contact me to notify of the problem. He had no response. I did not want to go through shipping it back and forth so decided to remove the hose and bring it to a hydraulic hose shop and get it fixed myself. On May 1, we put the machine back on the jobsite. After barely on for 2 minutes, the machine starts to run extremely slow and a loud pop happens with white smoke out the muffler. Proceeding with a rattling noice. My 1st thought, it just came from Westco Turf....it should be working great because as the shop manager stated during our complaint call, "they check all fluid levels and top off oil each time it is in." So my 2nd thought, check the oil. What do I find, the oil is bone dry. We contacted the shop manager again and his tune has now changed. He says the oil levels checked out fine (not that we were even given any documentation on this) , he is simply covering for his inadequate service techs. Also, he stated they had notified us of the Hydraulic leak...which was his second lie. This is our final straw. We are sending our equipment to Hector Turf on the east coast for a $90 round trip cost to replace a broken engine do to a tech not doing his job and inspection our machine properly. Service managers response to us saying we were going to tell the Better Business Bureau, the over 300 country clubs we service each year and never use them again. I'm sorry you feel that way. Taking No responsibility for his techs $3,000 mistake. I am not someone who looks for free handouts. If this were just a broken engine by all means I would take it. But I sent my machine in and trusted they would do their jobs and a multi point inspection. I expected my machine to be returned with no problems ready to go. Instead I have No oil, a broken hose, and now a broken machine that I have to fix bc of poor management. The service manager apparently is not doing his job if his workers are skipping steps. And lying and blaming the customer is no way to run a business. Wesco should be embarrassed they are running their service department this way. This place gives Toro a bad name.

Over July 4th weekend I rented a concrete grinder and the vacuum at his direction to remove the thinset after the tile removal. I used the grinder as it was designed and only removed approximately 20 sq/ft of thinset before the wedge diamond head inserts wore out. The process was very slow but he let me know that in the beginning as this was an alternative to the chipping blade on the 30 pound hammer which I had just used last weekend to take out the tile. The grinder worked great until one of the blades wore down to nothing. The other 2 still had the diamond circle grinder areas in them. I reached out to them thru their website and left them a message to try and figure out where to get a new set of grinder blades to finish the job. They were closed until Monday bc of the holiday weekend but I tried anyway. I ended up renting another grinder from Lowe's rental and finished the job over the weekend. Monday morning when they opened I was there to return the grinder and vacuum and was met by Daniel. I stated let me help you unload it and he responded "doesn't seem like you are trying to help me at all". I began to try and explain what i went thru and what I could have done/happened. He started screaming and yelling at me calling me a liar and cussing me out in front of other customers. I continued to maintain my composure while attempting to explain to him that I looked for the replacement blades to replaces them and was unable to get them bc of the weekend. He continued to yell and curse me out. He asked " what you want a discount?" I said no not at all. I just wanted to know if the rotary part in the bottom which he refused to let me show him was bent and that's what caused the one pad to wear out and not the others. I truly have never been to treated this bad in my entire life by anyone. In the end he did discount the order 50% which I told him was not necessary, I am not sure why he did that. Completely embarrassing to stand there and be yelled and cursed at in front of other people while trying to work thru an issue with an adult throwing a tantrum. Never had an issue at Lowe's or Home Depot rental. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with these people.

Something just didn't feel right about the other service - too much selling and not enough know-how. I reached out to Len who came out, undid what they did and got everything working for half of the other guys' "temporary" fix and about 15% of the other guys' full quote. Len is honest, fair and a likable guy as well. If you're needing appliance repair, you're not in luck. Len only services HVAC and ice machines now. I can attest to his AC know-how and he's second to none in my book.
