We thought we had found a great place to purchase LVP flooring for the homes of 2 relatives. We…read morefound what we liked at a decent price, and what appeared to be great customer service. However, that was the end of anything positive. 2 weeks later, we called back to the store to make the first purchase with the young man that originally helped us find what we needed - only to find he didn't work there any more. OK, that happens.... but then my husband ended up working with another person that we hadn't met at the store. He seemed nice - and he took the order. This person also informed my husband that we could have the flooring delivered and actually unloaded INTO the home (in 2 different rooms), so that the installer wouldn't have to carry it in. The price for this was their "flat rate" of $299. My husband was informed this was their "Inside Delivery - White Glove" service. We figured since we'd already spent $3000 on flooring, adding this delivery cost was worth it to save the installer time. In fact, here's what is stated about this service on their website: "Inside delivery is our 'White Glove' full-service delivery into your home up to 75 miles from shipping store and up to 10,000 lbs. This delivery includes delivery of your flooring and accessories into two rooms of your choice. The delivery personnel will also break down the shipping debris and remove it from your property. Proper in-home delivery requires the home to have a cleared, safe, accessible walkway to access your delivery space. The delivery team will also need a large, cleared area in at least two rooms to disperse your materials properly according to total weight. Inside delivery is preferable for most flooring materials to allow the flooring to properly acclimate to your home's temperature before installation." One thing I should mention is that although the order was placed at this location, it was actually delivered by store #1406 (Altamonte Springs, FL) because the relative's home getting the new floor is located in Winter Park. On the day of delivery, the truck did show up - it was a large truck with only one order on it - ours. Our installer was there waiting and was informed that the driver would NOT be carrying the order into the condo - instead, he placed it in the parking lot, 3 DOORS DOWN from the condominimum in which it belonged. No apology, no explanation - just unloaded it and left. He placed it where it was temporarily in the shade, but no thought of it ending up in the sun, let alone RAIN or theft or damage from cars in the lot. When my husband called the Sarasota store to complain (since this is the store that offered this "special" service) he was told that he had been given a deal (he never asked for the service, it was an upsell) - with the insulting attitude that they did US a favor! My husband was only offered a $50 refund - hardly equivalent to the service that was not provided. Essentially, he was told - too bad, so sad. If this is what they consider good customer service? We had at least 2 other homes for which we are planning to re-floor - but we will definitely find another vendor. With this attitude and representation, this company will be liquidating more than their lumber - apparently, there customers are expendable. Obviously - we will never go back and hope that no one we know will go there either!
