On October 7, 2025, my wife and I paid a deposit to replace a faulty component on my refrigerator…read more Soon after the contractor's visit to my home, he said he'd order the part and get back to us with an estimated date for receipt of the part and subsequent repair. From November 2025 to January 2026 my wife and I contacted the contractor requesting status, and was told continuously that the part is on order yet he refused to provide us with proof of the order or costs (if any) paid out to the manufacturer. On January 14, 2026, my wife and I contacted the contractor to cancel our agreement and immediately requested a refund of our deposit. The total cost of the contractor's quote was $1,090.00, and we paid a 50% deposit of $545.00. The contractor's service fee advertised on his website is $59.95. After multiple unsuccessful requests for the return of our deposit (less the service fee) the contractor will no longer communicate with us. For anyone who has been a victim of fraud by Robby G. Alvarino of Appliance Doctor (Appliance Doctor Enterprises LLC), today we filed formal complaints with the following organizations, with links to their websites for your reference & use. From what we've learned, he's defrauded several other customers just as he did us. I would buy a new Appliance before I would call him to repair it. The only thing I can say good…read moreabout him is "He talks a good game". But he can't deliver. He doesn't show up when he says he is going to. He doesn't do what he says he is going to do. After $340 he left and my washer still was not working. He told me he would get me a refund for the part he ordered minus a restocking fee. I was good with that. After almost 3 weeks when I checked in with him, I was told that he couldn't send the part back because he had plugged it in and it was now conceded used. After some more discussion I told him if they won't take it back to send me the part because I paid for it, I would like it. He said he couldn't do that because he didn't have it, he sent it back. I would not recommend using him.
