We booked an 11:30am tour for our family of 5 a few days ahead of time online. The email confirmation you receive doesn't provide the time you booked it for so make sure to write it down (especially if your mind slips into vacation mode like mine does). I wasn't exactly sure on the time, but the evening before we received a call saying that one of their guides had an emergency so they were canceling some of the tours. They asked if we could do a 12pm tour instead, which worked fine for our schedule. We were lucky to have this tour on a warm, sunny December day. My kids were complaining about the sun in their eyes and the heat while we were waiting for the airboat (bring hats and sunglasses for all), but all complaints ended as soon as the airboat took off. It was a gorgeous day to be on a boat and that alone made me happy. The alligators were an added bonus. I assumed we would see a few alligators, but we saw dozens. Our very informative tour guide stopped several times to point out alligators and shared a ton of info. He mentioned they really like the sun so our sunny day probably helped with so many sightings. The 50 minute tour was the perfect amount of time. I think my 9, 7 and 4 year old enjoyed the actual boat ride (especially the faster parts) and seeing the alligators. The information itself was a bit dry so I think they were a bit bored at times and it definitely went over my 4 year old's head. I was also a bit surprised they don't make you wear life jackets (especially the kids) on the boat, but then again you don't want to fall off into alligator land life vest or not. It was a fun activity and something new to try during our frequent trips to Florida, but definitely a one time thing (especially for the cost) and probably wouldn't do it again. I almost consider myself an alligator expert now.

We will definitely make this an annual excursion going forward. For starters, I have fished with Captain Pat for years. He is an incredible fisherman who consistently catches fish. If they are out there swimming, he'll know where to find them and how to get you hooked up. His boat and fishing equipment are top-notch and impeccably maintained, and Pat has decades of experience and local knowledge. This particular trip was different than my usual fishing trip, however. Instead of flying kites for sails, deep dropping for swords, or high-speeding for wahoo, I was taking my wife and two young children, along with some close family friends and their three kids for a day of boating and fun. Most of the passengers onboard had limited to no boating or fishing experience. Loading the boat with fish was secondary to everyone just having a great (and safe) day on the water. From the moment I booked Pat, I knew he was the right person for the job. Pat offered to pick us up dockside from our VRBO in Pompano Beach, eliminating the hassle of having to pack up 2 families and drive somewhere to get to the boat. Everyone was prepped and excited for the day ahead. Pat takes boating safety very seriously, which is one of the reasons why he is among the few people I trust with our families. Before leaving the dock, he stopped to make sure all the kids had the correct life jacket and were properly buckled in, and off we went. A short ICW cruise brought us to Hillsboro Inlet, and we were met with flat conditions and nice weather. So far, so good. Knowing that our primary focus was on our children, Pat decided that the best game plan for the day was to stay inshore and chum up the resident reef fish for a few hours. It was the right call. The action was pretty much non-stop! From snappers, to blue runners, to grunts, jacks, parrotfish, filefish, and everything in between, we saw enough variety to start our own aquarium. Everyone on the boat had a crack at as many fish as they wanted to catch, and we all brought home memories of first-ever catches and exactly the type of adventure that can spark a lifelong love of the water and fishing. We capped off the day wish a fresh dip in the ocean before heading home. On the cruise back, Pat indulged the kids by patiently letting them quiz him about every button on the dash, check out the tower, and pretend to be pirates. Everyone had a fantastic experience. The trip was the highlight of our entire vacation, and weeks later the kids are still asking us when we can go fishing again with their favorite captain, Captain Pat of the Weekley Rehab. There are many charter boat options and captains in the area. I stand by the fact that Pat is among the best fisherman around here. If you go with Pat, you can trust that you are in great hands and will very likely catch fish. But beyond that, very few captains have the patience, personality, or versatility to have custom-tailored such an exceptional family day on the water. We highly recommend him!

We had so much fun! The staff was incredible. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Roberto who took care of our room and helped us was so kind and attentive and quick to help. Faith who often worked the ice cream station in the buffet area was sooo sweet. Her Smile and energy lights up the whole room. She was very friendly and personable. Antonia who I met on the pool deck as she was mopping Was very kind and a hard worker. I started Conversation with her and It was great getting to know her. Tamia who worked in the spa was very lovely. When she saw me, her face lit up and she pointed to her gap in her teeth and from then on we connected. I also have a gap in my two front teeth and so she was connecting with me on that and it just felt very wholesome. I truly loved getting to see each of these individuals every day. There were other staff members that were absolutely incredible as well, and I was just unable to catch their names and make good conversation with them. these individuals for sure deserve a raise. They worked so hard and really just made the experience so amazing. Everything was so smooth. I was kind of concerned about figure out where to go for our excursion one day and there was just no reason for me to worry at all because they just helped with every detail. They put a card in our room that told us exactly what to do and it was so smooth. The food was also absolutely delicious. They blew me away with the buffet. I did not know exactly what to expect but there were so many was almost overwhelming. There's lots to choose from! The shows that we got to go to, like the comedian, the magician and the and show. They were all really good and everyone was so talented. there really was so much to do on the ship! So many shops and things to look at. The views were incredible. I also really morning stretch class on the top deck. It was so refreshing so cool to be on a boat doing a fitness class and looking out and seeing the ocean. I could say many more good things about this cruise, but I will stop here.:)

Now because it was so hot I only stayed a few hours, but enjoyed the pics band they had which I have video of them added to this review. Bimini was cool I've been a few times before so I just went into town to grab a couple of drinks and grab a few souvenirs. Now this was my first Celebrity Cruise and I would say I would give them another try especially for a solo cruise. This cruise line is more of a chill vibe with several things to do during the day and night up until a point. After about 11pm not much is going on so if you looking for a full on "party ship" might not be up your alley. I was on a solo group cruise for 5 days/4 nights which I wish were at least another day. I had a great time, but will definitely try another boat and longer cruise so I will do more than I did. As 4-days is such a short amount of time. This is a great start for reflection and I would not be cheap and go ahead and get the premium drink package (if you a drinker) and at least try 2 at the minimum speciality restaurants because it is well worth it. I got the unlimited speciality package so I tried 4 of the restaurants and was not disappointed! Sometimes you have to splurge on yourself and I'm so glad I did on my first Celebrity cruise.
