Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Everglades and made it more than just a great boat ride…read more And yes we saw a few gators!!

Growing up in Florida I thought I knew more about alligators than the average person, but I learned…read morea lot more (+ saw a lot of gators) during this Airport Tour. We booked an 11:30am tour for our family of 5 a few days ahead of time online. The email confirmation you receive doesn't provide the time you booked it for so make sure to write it down (especially if your mind slips into vacation mode like mine does). I wasn't exactly sure on the time, but the evening before we received a call saying that one of their guides had an emergency so they were canceling some of the tours. They asked if we could do a 12pm tour instead, which worked fine for our schedule. We were lucky to have this tour on a warm, sunny December day. My kids were complaining about the sun in their eyes and the heat while we were waiting for the airboat (bring hats and sunglasses for all), but all complaints ended as soon as the airboat took off. It was a gorgeous day to be on a boat and that alone made me happy. The alligators were an added bonus. I assumed we would see a few alligators, but we saw dozens. Our very informative tour guide stopped several times to point out alligators and shared a ton of info. He mentioned they really like the sun so our sunny day probably helped with so many sightings. The 50 minute tour was the perfect amount of time. I think my 9, 7 and 4 year old enjoyed the actual boat ride (especially the faster parts) and seeing the alligators. The information itself was a bit dry so I think they were a bit bored at times and it definitely went over my 4 year old's head. I was also a bit surprised they don't make you wear life jackets (especially the kids) on the boat, but then again you don't want to fall off into alligator land life vest or not. It was a fun activity and something new to try during our frequent trips to Florida, but definitely a one time thing (especially for the cost) and probably wouldn't do it again. I almost consider myself an alligator expert now.

What a nostalgia trip! I went on this boat maybe 35 years ago and remembered it fondly. I still…read moreremember several of the stories and jokes I heard aboard way back then. When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

A two story boat the cruses to the Jungle island. Drinks on the boat while you can sit or walk around while enjoying the scenery. Beautiful waterfront homes and yachts big ones little one. While your cruising other people wave to you they have a little bit of music playing. I enjoyed standing in the front it was very enjoyable and just loved the sunset Florida has some of the most beautiful sunsets incredible. We arrived at the island and greeted with friendly people where all the entertainment began. We sat down and ate they brought the food bbq to the table brought is drinks during the dinner they had live music that followed outside fire dancers and hula dancing. Then you were able to walk around the island birds a few animals jungle vibe. Than back on the boat for a ride back. Food was chicken which was tender and tasty. Ribs that feel off the bone with extra bbq sauce. Corn bread coleslaw.
