Bad news: I was uncomfortable the whole time and started praying that my neck would be okay Good news: I found pinnacle wellness After church I was in so much pain. I was distraught and did not know what to do. I decided to do a google search and find a massage therapist to help me out. To give context: I was unable to move my head in circular movements and was very limited to turning my head to the sides. For example checking my blind spots while driving was like a complete nightmare and I could not drive normally. I found Laura on healthprofs.com and decided to give her a call. Shortly after , Tamara calls me back to schedule an appointment. She was so helpful and gave me good advice on managing my neck until my appointment the next morning. Since going I have not turned back! Laura helped my neck so much! Just after one session I had way less pain while moving. And after the second session I was back to normal. I now continue to go to improve my back. Not only is Laura caring and nice, but also exceptionally educated in her field. She's been healing people with massage therapy for time and it shows. My back feels lighter and better every time I leave. I am so grateful I found Laura and Pinnacle Wellness. Tamara instructs Pilates. Although I have not done Pilates with her, I typically see her working with her clients when I go for massage therapy. The masseuses squeeze your ribs/organs back to sleep since baby pushes all our organs up, and they squeezed the swelling out too because per the masseuses, the swelling of water eventually turns to fat if the swelling isn't reduced. The 20min infrared sauna at the end of the 60min massage is so intense and hot, but I always sweat soo much so I definitely think it works. I am convinced all moms should participate in the postpartum massages, and I'm not saying I lost all my pregnancy weight due to the massages but I think the massages helped tremendously with it. I also have enjoyed many oketani A massages, and gosh those help so much with my clogged ducts and engorgement from breastfeeding. This is the only place I've found that offers oketani massages, and I consider myself lucky for only needing to drive 40-60mins to get to Spa Natureland for the massages because I'd probably drive even further if I didn't live 40-60mins out. Lastly, I've gotten a facial and head spa service here too, and both were fantastic. The head spa left my scalp so refreshed and clean, it was so so nice. The rooms here are simple but clean and quiet. I always park outside on the street (free for 2hrs, although I don't think anyone ever actually checks), but I think they have a small lot with a few spots too if you needed it. My new go-to massage spot!…read more Booking - I liked their prompt reservation response - I think I booked online and they quickly called to confirm, and later called apologetically to switch me from one slot to a later slot when they ended up having a conflict. Parking - You can park in Bridge plaza parking lot according to the receptionist, so I did and walked around the corner to get there. I did not get any tickets despite the lot's copious warnings. Cleanliness/Vibe - Once inside, they offered me tea and I was pleasantly surprised at the bright ambiance (all those who dislike dingy massage parlors pay attention) and some chairs for waiting. I was promptly escorted to the first room which felt very close to the entrance, yet it was quiet and relaxing once I lied down behind the curtains. There was a sign advising people to NOT get naked for the treatment, which I found amusing. (Awww man~~~! Lol .. just kidding.) Treatment - I chose the one-hour massage focusing on neck & shoulder + lower back pain which is a recurring story of my life being on the tall side. My therapist, Maria, spoke limited English but communicated well to ensure my comfort with the pressure level, and when asked to go harder, dished it out no problem to dissolve those knots in my shoulder. She even gave me hot stone therapy which really helped ease my backaches. HOT STONES? That's a first from inexpensive spots! She did a thorough job and did not skimp out, going a bit after the alarm beeped to ensure completion. She also wasn't distracted by other needs of the place and stayed with me the whole time except to get the hot stones, which I really appreciated. I paid $40 plus $15 tip but later saw it was ~$17 on bank statement which was a bit weird... but I could be mistaken about the $15 because my aches were GONE and my whole body had turned to a jello at that time.
