I know I often need one because I…read morecarry all kinds of pain in my stressed-out body, but it's impossible for me to find a massage that addresses them without some level of pain and discomfort. Olive Tree Spa is the closest I've found in this area. Having been to a few 'budget' spas, I noticed a few immediate differences with this spa. Here, the space is light and airy, with the remarkably calming smell of essential oils that hits as soon as you enter. The first floor is dedicated to a reception desk and foot massages, while massage beds are upstairs. My husband and I booked a couples massage, and they had a clever curtaining system that allowed them to turn a larger flex space into a more private one for us. There's also one private room for a single massage. The massage itself was, in a word, skillful. There was general symmetry between what was done between one side of my body and the other. I didn't love some aspects of her technique, particularly a pinching motion she used around my neck that left me a bit sore until the day after. But it was still better than most, and she used plenty of pressure to work out the various knots and points of tension in my back and legs. What I appreciated most of all was the quiet. Our masseuses worked side by side but didn't exchange any chatter (except to occasionally hand each other hot stones or towels), and there was barely any ambient noise except for the sound of the air conditioner in the background. It was all the peace and quiet one would have wanted from a massage session. There's been some contention about the tip policy in reviews left for this spot. I'll share that after we paid, the woman at the register gestured to a printed sign that had suggestions for how much tip should be left, depending on the length of session. For an hour-long session like ours, for instance, the recommended tip was $20 per person. After pointing to it, she also plainly said, "It's just a suggestion." We ended up paying the proposed amount, but I could see how some folks might not take kindly to such pressure.

She had an excellent understanding of pressure points and muscle tension, and she consistently checked in to ensure the pressure was comfortable yet effective. Kay's technique was both precise and intuitive. She was able to identify tight areas immediately and worked through them with a perfect balance of firmness and care. Throughout the session, her professionalism, attentiveness, and skill made the entire experience incredibly relaxing and therapeutic. The spa environment was clean, calming, and well-maintained, which added to the overall experience. I left feeling noticeably lighter, refreshed, and with significant relief from muscle tension. I highly recommend Spa Nature Land and especially Kay for anyone seeking a high-quality deep tissue massage. I will definitely be returning.

A friend recommended their postpartum package to me, so I purchased a pack of 10 postpartum massages to use immediately after giving birth. And do go right after you give birth! I went a month postpartum and apparently I was late haha. The masseuses squeeze your ribs/organs back to sleep since baby pushes all our organs up, and they squeezed the swelling out too because per the masseuses, the swelling of water eventually turns to fat if the swelling isn't reduced. The 20min infrared sauna at the end of the 60min massage is so intense and hot, but I always sweat soo much so I definitely think it works. I am convinced all moms should participate in the postpartum massages, and I'm not saying I lost all my pregnancy weight due to the massages but I think the massages helped tremendously with it. I also have enjoyed many oketani A massages, and gosh those help so much with my clogged ducts and engorgement from breastfeeding. This is the only place I've found that offers oketani massages, and I consider myself lucky for only needing to drive 40-60mins to get to Spa Natureland for the massages because I'd probably drive even further if I didn't live 40-60mins out. Lastly, I've gotten a facial and head spa service here too, and both were fantastic. The head spa left my scalp so refreshed and clean, it was so so nice. The rooms here are simple but clean and quiet. I always park outside on the street (free for 2hrs, although I don't think anyone ever actually checks), but I think they have a small lot with a few spots too if you needed it. Highly, highly recommend this place!! I've recommended it to many friends too.

As long as I've seen this spa, I have been holding onto a couple of gift cards for Spa Week and Spa Finder. Every place I frequent isn't a business that honors them, but when surfing the list of businesses that do, I saw Serenity on the list. Before booking an appointment I called the business to confirm the cards were accepted - yay, they take them (both)! Or so she said. I booked a manicure appointment for mom and I. Day of arrival we parked on the street (at a meter), not knowing the business has a parking lot behind the building for customers (manicurist shared with us during appt). That might have been worth mentioning Ms. Receptionist. The space looks small from the outside but inside is very spacious but dated; the Manicure Room is cute, but could use some updates as well. The nail color selection is limited and flat (none of the new stuff). The manicurist were great - took their time and polished well. Upon check out I presented both cards, one for my mom to use and one for myself. The reception said they didn't take Spa Week, I told her when I called the receptionist said they did. Whatevs, but I know what I was told. On my second visit (2 weeks later), I booked a mani and pedi, but the manicurist I booked with was no longer employed there, so I was very surprised because I wasn't notified. The new girl was good too, so I was satisfied, but normally a call with the option to keep or cancel appointment is my practice. The business sends frequent email blasts that let you know about specials and pricing, which the prices have spiked, as of April. A regular manicure will now cost $30, color gel mani $55, basic pedi $55. These new prices will determine the frequency of my visits.

I went about two years ago at this new location and was not impressed and my experience recently confirmed they are more concerned about making money than providing good service. If they and they did - tell your customers ahead of time. The service was just okay and has fallen off considerably. There was no other customers and I could tell why. There are many options for Korean spa and they should be explored. It's not worth the cost. There are a variety of different sauna rooms some smaller than the others, rest areas and an area to play chess and go. What I love about this place is the 400 degree sauna that really cooks you. We stayed here for about 5 hours and went to all their saunas, we ended up getting a little hungry and ordered a meal to share plus a large bingsoo which was really refreshing and cooling to your body. I love to spend an off day enjoying some healthy food and contrast bathing. KIng Spa was definitely a uniquely Korean experience. The overall vibe is a little old school and dusty, lots of 80s looking water features with piped in birdsong. The locker rooms need an update and the gendered pool area is quite small. I would imagine if you were a gender non-conforming person this kind of place would be highly stressful. There were dirty Q-tips just tossed in a box on the counter with wax on them, there were communal combs (gross), and a lot of the areas for lounging had very beat up looking furniture. There were several ladies really pushing hip baths, it had sort of a hectic, hustle-culture vibe upon entering that was not really relaxing. However the overall vibe is cozy and the saunas themselves were the real deal, especially the ultra hot one in the basement. The food was EXCELLENT especially compared to Sojo. Real deal Korean offerings, beverages and unique snacks like sauna eggs and plenty of ice cream. I would suggest to go early and eat lunch there, then spend the rest of the afternoon snoozing, baking in the sauna or getting a chair massage. They also have a salon their that offers perms and nail service, can't speak on that but fun that it's offered. There are plenty if chess tables and places to read and scroll if that is your spa style. My main big complaint: I booked a 30 minute scrub when I entered. I soaked before the scrub as instructed, when the scrub lady came to fetch me she was rude and dismissive from start to finish. I am not talking about the usual straightforward Korean spa attitude-she was downright nasty to me. She barked orders, yelled at me for having dyed hair that bled a little onto the wet towel pillow I had to use, she pinched my skin, rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth when I asked her to repeat herself. I understand there are some different cultural expectations but I have never been so poorly treated by a spa employee before. KIng Spa, you really have to do some customer service training!
