So make sure you ask for a site on higher ground especially if you have a tent - The worst part was the amount of alcoholics at this campground. The chippys on the green where they have an arcade for the kids and crafts for kids but they also have a bar. My kids were freaked out by the old drunk men approaching them mistaking them for someone else. My daughter said one drunk was trying to scare the kids. Then all these drunk people jump on their golf cart with their alcoholic beverages in their hand and drive off. Overall the kids had a pretty good time. Will we be back? No although a pretty nice campground I feel that it's too big for my family and it's not maintained like it should be due to its size things are being forgotten just not for our family read more

n't as many Lilly pads, grass, and weeds. There was also a loose dog running around into everyone's campsites and this went on for at least 3 hours, the camping staff did not do anything about this. And as we are mentioning the staff, they have no idea what they are doing, we asked for directions to multiple different places from multiple different staff members and they couldn't even tell us where the beach, mini golf, or Waterpark was. Those are kinda important places to know about other than just saying "I don't know." And the quiet hours are not true, I was woken up at 8am by a train honking its horn that isn't suppose to start until 9am (this continued until 1pm, it was suppose to stop at 11pm). And people do not respect others around here as they scream and yell and walk through other peoples sites from 1-3am. There is also no working WIFI anywhere around the campground, which for a place that advertises their WIFI you would think it would work. There's many other flaws about this campground but I'm not gonna go on and on about the overpriced activities, horrible staff, and ghetto activities. I've only been here for a day so let's hope I can leave with a few good moments here. read more

We just stayed at Everygreen campgrounds last weekend. I found it to be q very nice campground. There was plenty to do there. I didn't like that WIFI didn't work most of the time. I can live without having the internet while there but I hated not having the use of my phone. Couldn't even call my husbands phone when we were both in the campgrounds but in different areas. I didn't like how they put the power and water hookups at the very back of the campsite. We had to back in so far that we felt like were sharing a campsite with the neighbors who were strangers. It would be better to have the water and electric hook ups placed between side by side sites at the middle of the sites like most campgrounds do Instead of at the very back of the sites. Ifound the amount of golf cart traffic to be very daunting. We didn't have one so had to walk everywhere which proved to be very difficult with all the golf cart traffic. It didn't feel safe to me. read more

2ND time renting a cottage unfortunately not the same experience as last time and will truly have to think about returning. Was allowed to check-in 1 hour early with a charge. Rented PS2 (next to pool). Arrive to site/area limited room to park due to golf carts in the spots. Enter cottage no screen door on the patio door, random light bulbs don't work, sand in/on the couch/seats/floor. Fan in bathroom doesn't work. Hand prints on mirror. Ants crawling around the kitchen sink area. Sand/dirt over entire deck. Ashes from the previous renter all over the deck from the grill! I'm thinking was this place even cleaned properly? Yes everyone is short staffed I get it! Asked for a few extra washcloths. You get what's in the cottage. Seriously! A few things were resolved but not worth the money that was paid to be there for 4 days! Thought about asking for some compensation but heard owner is difficult to work with! And after watching him snap on the electric company employee for the power going out (which they have no control over) I will have to seriously thinking about booking in 2025! read more

Campground is okay, a lot of things for kids to do, but they fee you to death. I made a reservation because our family wanted to go fall camping. Counting my site we had 8 sites booked, and obviously wanted to be together. Even though they had multiple sites available they threaten that they can move you unless you pay a $25 fee to ensure you get the site you actually booked. What a joke, so for our family they extorted us for $200 with their "site hold fee". That on top of a $9 reservation fee and the sites were already $75 a night. For two nights I paid just under $200 for my site. As a comparison I am staying in a 4 star hotel for a wedding in Milwaukee for $119 a night, and they actually provide me with a breakfast. This will be the last visit to Evergreen campground, and I will make sure my large camping circle will know all about their money grab. read more

If I could give a minus 10 I would.. We camped here a few times, met some great people, looked into buying a permanent site.. Went to front office, made an appt to walk/talk with owner about adding roof to deck etc.. ( you need his permission to alter any property) Came for our appt, they said a freezer went out and could not meet us for our appt.. We asked Hannah when we could reschedule..she brushed us off, would not answer and kept walking away. I said could we speak to Jim ?? She stated again a freezer went out, my husband said. "It's not like you or Jim are fixing it".. She kept walking.. We went back to ask for an appt the next day. Hannah hide behind the owner Jim, stated we harassed all the counter staff.. lol. For asking for an appt time? We were warned by several full time owners, people are selling due to owner/staff behaviors. It's beautiful, unfortunately, not worth the rudeness from Owner and Staff. read more

The staff manager is the most obnoxious condescending person I have ever dealt with. If this is the way the treat paid campers and guests, I will never suggest staying here again or recommend it to anyone looking for a camping spot. She angered everyone in our party and treated them like it was an imposition on her time. If I had the name I'd post it here. Horrible customer service. read more

The best family campground in Wisconsin! With all of its many kid-friendly amenities, Evergreen is the perfect place to camp with a family! There's a beach with many slides and inflatables on the water, a heated outdoor waterpark which includes a slide, splash pad, adult-only pool with food & beverage as well as 2 other pools. There is also a "Jumping Pillow" which is basically a giant pillow shaped inflatable. And there is even a mini-golf course and rentable pedal-carts and watercraft. They have many sites and cabins available and they book fast. Overall, it's the best campground I've ever been to and I think you will agree. read more

Last year, we visited a group of friends that stay here every year. This year we decided to join them and we had a blast. This is a great, family friendly campground with lots of things going on for both kids and adults. The pool area is lots of fun with a few slides, a splash pad and (bonus) an adults only pool with a swim up bar. Besides the pool there is lake access so if you prefer a more natural setting for swimming you are in luck also. There's also mini golf, a camp "train" that you can ride around in, and plenty of other activities. We happened to be there on "Country" weekend so they had a pretty decent country band playing, on Saturday evening. There is also a large store and kitchen where you can order pizza, Friday Fish fry, and other snacks and ice cream. I thought the food was a bit on the expensive side, but not outrageously so. The place is very popular with many people who return year after year so it does book up pretty quickly. They open up reservations for the following season on Black Friday and you need to plan on booking that day if you want the more popular weekends or want sites (or cabins) next to each other. My biggest gripe, really isn't with the resort itself, but with parents not paying attention to their kids. I understand that this is a "family" campground and when driving around you need to be extra careful of kids, but parents let their kids ride their bikes right down the middle of the roads or side by side by side taking up the whole road. More than once, during the weekend I about but my car into a tree trying to pull over far enough to avoid the kids riding right down the middle of the road, or 3 abreast and not paying any attention to the vehicles coming towards them. With so many people pulling such large RV's I'm surprised that there aren't more accidents because neither these young kids, nor their parents pay any attention to what's going on around them. read more

My family and I have been going to Evergreen for over 30 years. From the very beginning to now it is my happy place to be. Every year brings new and exciting things. Evergreen is safe, clean, tons of things to do from the beach to the pool, miniature golfing, train rides, weekend themed events, things for kids to adults to do. Great store from the food, the things you probably need but forgot, the souvenirs, and best of all the amazing staff. Each and everyone is friendly, helpful, and caring. Sad to say but the owner's way of dealing with people turned us away from possibly purchasing a trailer here. The amenities were something we really were excited about, however knowing if we had a crisis or issue dealing with the owner may be a problem, and investing over 50 thousand dollars in a vacation spot was not a risk I wanted to take if this was the way people were treated. I am a rule follower, and sometimes it is not what you say to someone, it is how you say it that makes a big impression. We drove up on a Saturday afternoon to check out possible purchasing a camper and renting long term a spot on the property. We were greeted ( not kindly) by the owner, who directed us to sign in at the office, I did indeed do that, and was given a map with a few listings of trailers for sale. we were told we could not drive through, because they were at capacity, however, several people visiting campers were allowed in after me, no big deal, we were just checking the place out. We walked around the property for 90 min. or so, it was lovely. I went back to get the keys to look in a trailer, was given the keys without an issue, my 7-year-old was tired of walking so we asked the owner about driving in, I showed him the keys that were given to me by the young man in the office. He said " who did you talk to inside" in a rather gruff manner. I told him I could not remember the young man's name. He started to say you just can not drive in here ect... I shut him down, and said I am over this we will leave, I was so excited about the campground, but I did not want anymore negative conversation with the owner. Our plan was to drive to the trailer we were interested in, look at it, possibly get information to contact the owner, and leave. I would have been fine if someone wanted to join us. They had to have somewhat trusted me if they gave me keys and allowed me to visit a trailer without supervision, so I do not get why we could not drive there, and this was not explained to me. Needless to say, I am no longer interested, in visiting, camping, or long-term renting at Evergreen Campground, the only reason is that the owner treats people unkindly. read more

This place is great. There is a lot to do! They have a wonderful beach area (on Kusel Lake) as well as two nice pools (one is for small children) they have a splash pad and water slide. I love how clean this place is and how helpful the staff is. During the summer, there are many dances and a DJ by the pool. There is a store and also a small restaurant area (burgers, fish fry, chicken, pizza etc)...and also ice-cream! I am a seasonal and I know many people here (my in-laws, cousin, brother-in-law and many friends) all have seasonal sites here. I have read some reviews complaining about the owner and staff. I must say, we have never had a problem with any of the staff (including the owner), nor have I heard of anyone having any issues with him... everyone is entitled to their opinion, as I am mine (and no, I am not the owner or in any way related to him or Evergreen besides being a seasonal camper). I love Evergreen and would strongly recommend it to any family. read more

We're back for the second time! Just stayed from the 2-4th of August 2016. We made lots of use of the lake which was gorgeous and perfect to swim in for all ages. The inflatables were a big hit with the kids. The pool was also really nice this time around. Last year we came a little early in summer and it was still a little cold. This time was perfect. We love staying in the cabins. We stayed in 153 and the only complaint was that the water from the sink faucet was a drip, so rinsing dishes or your face was impossible. We really loved the upgrades of the mattresses. That was a big plus! Also they now have cable! and the wifi is a little better which is nice during those rainy days. read more

First time, but definitely not the last! Evergreen is a wonderful private campground in the middle of Wisconsin. We booked a Saturday-Tuesday at the end of September and decided to stay in a standard cabin. This type of cabin has electricity, heat/air conditioning, a fridge and microwave. No TV, but that's what we were getting away from! It was clean and well kept. Being it was the end of September, the heater came in handy. We were within a 30 second walk to the bathroom/showers, which were fantastic! They looked newly renovated and were VERY clean. The campground has multiple kid playsets, a couple pools(which again being the of September, they were too cold to use) and what I would describe as a massive bouncy house, minus the "house" portion. My 2 year old absolutely loved it! The only downside to booking on a Monday was that we were the only campers left after the weekend. We were a little bummed that there was no one around and not much happening. But we soon cheered up when a gentleman pulled up in a golf cart and said "You can use this on me for the rest of your stay". His name was Jim and I believe he was the manager/owner. He must have felt bad for us out there all alone! We were very touched by the hospitality of the place. It was wonderful! Thanks again to Jim. My daughter, and my wife and I, loved tooling around the campground on it. I highly recommend this place for a cabin stay, cottage on the lake, camper or even classic camping. Very nice campground but is very difficult to get campsites together when booking a group. They don't take reservations before January 1st and then they go very quickly. It is also very hard to get a hold of someone. Why they wouldn't want to book in advance is boggling. Otherwise we love this place. read more

This campground was widely spread out. The pools were pretty far away. The Sunset View Cottage was very nice with channel frontage and 2 fire pits. The campground in general needed some attention. There were several piles of raked leaves all over. This should have been in tip-top presentation for the first official opening weekend of Memorial Day. I was also hoping for more planned kid activities. You had to pay for the clown, train ride. There was only a DJ on Saturday nite, not Sunday. They could make a killing if they had some college kids running the activities. Overall, it was nice, but we would probably not stay there again. read more

Typically we love Evergreen and have been coming for years. We saw a side of Jim, the owner, we have never seen before. Initially we heard him yelling at the woman across from our campsite and Jim took the keys from her golf cart and told her to go to the office. Ultimately it came down to a kid jumped on the back of their cart while her 22 year old nephew was driving it. They told us Jim has targeted them for years because she hears and the rest of the group is deaf. They camp with a large deaf group here yearly. There have been kids under 21 driving golf carts all weekend, not apart of the deaf group. There have been 6+ people on a golf cart with kids standing on the back all weekend, not a part of the deaf group. Yet they were targeted and their cart was taken away without a warning. We spent time with this family and they're been wonderful and even feeding our kids campfire desserts. Disappointed in Jim and discrimination to those who are different. We have spent a lot of time at Evergreen and to now see the owner behave and use the language he did is appalling. I hope that he remedies the situation. Discriminations should not be a trade off for a nearly run camp resort. read more

We love Evergreen! It is a family-friendly environment and we go every summer. There is no need to leave with so many nice amenities. The beach is beautiful and the paddle boat rental rate (among other rental items) is very affordable. The theme weekends are awesome (love Halloween)! The pool is heated, the store serves great food and ice cream, the kids love the Chippy Express and jumping pillow... I could go on and on. Check it out. read more

We stayed at the Evergreen campground for the first time for labor day weekend 2016. It was a nice campground and the sites are a good size. However I booked our site eight months in advance and the site we had had no grass and it was filled with tree roots. The price to camp is high and they nickle and dime you for everything--you have to pay for the use of the showers, it is extra if more adults stay in your camper, you have to pay a $25 registration fee to bring your own golf car, miniature golf and the train ride are extra, etc. We stayed at the Harbour Village in Sturgeon Bay and they only charged $3 to bring your own golf car, you get five wrist bands per campsite to use their amenities, the pool and water slide are much better and bigger, the showers are free and it was cheaper per night to stay there!! We even stayed at one campgrounds that offered a free ice cream social every afternoon. I doubt you will ever see that at the Evergreen! The older staff weren't very friendly either!! read more
