There were flies that had been swatted and squished up against the windows. Their guts and body were plastered to the glass. The previous tenants had made coffee. The machine had been put back with the coffee grounds and let over coffee remaining inside the machine. When checking out, I talked to the lady at the counter who was mortified. She went to tell the manager 2 times to explain the situation. The manager never came out to talk to me or discuss the issue. We will not be visiting the campground again.

And I will mention I called on Saturday afternoon and they said they will send someone right over neve did. Next day Sunday stopped at offce 9am said send someone right over, NOTHING. Being an earshot away of any conversation your neighbors might have. I like my privacy. The cabins have all the luxurious of home minis running water. There is an AC unit, small fridge and even a microwave. A perfect way to throw some clothes and a some pillows into the car and go. This campground like many is geared toward families. There is a nice pool, games and climby things for all the littles. I was disappointed to learn that they planned to have a movie night. Isn't that the point to camp? To get these kids away from screens? I was sad that I had to listen to the booming speakers going through the camp for 2 hours so these kids could watch this movie. It was a complete distraction to the peace and quiet I was looking for. The prices of the cabins are kind of a lot at over $100 per night but they have 1 queen bed and a set of bunks. I would return but would prefer to come during the non peak time.

Some other spots were nowhere near as spacious, so it depends on what you are looking for and what type of camping equipment you are bringing (rv or tent). The clubhouse was very nice and clean, with great shower and bathroom facilities. The electric at our spots were 20 amp, so it caused us a bit of an issue running A/C, fridge and an electric griddle. It is my understanding that some of the sites have 30 amp service, but not ours. Prices were very reasonable.

We rented two of the cabins and the amount of space inside was perfect for this family of 4! Each kid got their own loft, we had a bed with wonderful space. The number of things to do while there was perfect for the ADHD kids and the ability to sit and watch them do ALL THE THINGS was perfect for this tired momma! We played mini-golf at 6:45 am, horseshoes at 6:54 am, and playground at 7 am to just start all over again (multiple times)! Definitely plan your drinking schedule with the fact that the bathroom is not in the cabin but still close! We had s'mores on the fire pit and two nights of BBQ! We even swam in the lake and the kids LOVED the inflatables (even the 40-year-old fat dudes got out there). The owners were incredible and friendly. They had us at wrong site so had to move camper after all set up. Their electricity is super touchy! I've lost count how many times power was tripped in the camper, biggest issue is all the food we have in fridge. I heard it is under new owners in past year or two, and they are working to fix electrical issues. However, headaches from their electric issues, disorganization, and rude employees are not a recipe for a great place.

Get off at the Camp Douglas exit and you're right there. The surface of the stone, scalloped and weathered over the millennia where it has stood, has a charming appeal. It's rather easy to climb because of the many pockets and foot-holds. Lovers have scribed their names in the stone. Twisted, knotted tree roots weave a tangled web above-ground in the sandy soil where they grow. If you come in the morning, you can see the lingering mist before the sun is higher up in the sky. Truly a magical place on earth. It's not much to walk around it if you don't want to climb, but it is a rewarding stop if you're in the Dells area or heading west from the Dells. We return here every year on our way to Minnesota, just to experience the beauty that nature offers.

Even after taking one tent down he would not budge- Disappointing as we have been going for the last 5 or 6 years with 2 other campers over memorial day, but fortunately there are alot of other campgrounds that value customers.
