As a family, I would not recommend this campground. This was our worst camping experience ever. Granted it was Labor Day weekend but we felt like we were in Florida on spring break. There were drunks EVERYWHERE. Language was atrocious and you are packed in so tight (fire pits are maybe 20 feet apart), you can't avoid hearing everything your neighbors say. We booked a 3 night stay but left after one. The website states no drunkenness or profanity will be tolerated; That quiet times are from 12am-8am and will be enforced. Our neighbors showed up at 11:20 pm to sent up tents with flashlights. Then proceeded to fill over 4 air mattresses with a motorized air pump, then stayed up talking and drinking until 4am. They had 2 dogs that started barking at 5am. The next day neighbors on the other side showed up, already drunk and not able to put 3 words together that didn't have profanity. The showers were private and nice, the playground is small but the equipment was fun. As a day trip, this would be a lot of fun and we will be back for that reason, we'll just stay somewhere else.

Went tubing there today... it was awesome!!! A fun "socially distant" day trip! We went on the long trip, the bus ride there was quick, and off we went. Took about 4 hours, and it went by in the blink of an eye! I recommend renting the cooler tube and bringing snacks and drinks along. We took our two 14yr olds and they had a blast too. Clean family fun

Busses lined up to take you up the river

If you're looking for a daytime adventure in this area, tubing can be a fun way to pass a summer afternoon. (Warning, if you're trying to get away from it all and be secluded this is NOT the adventure for you as hundreds upon hundreds of people descend on this river and enjoy a lazy afternoon tubing down it). Where to begin? Well, you can rent a tube at the main campground ($11 weekday, $15 weekends) and get in line for a school bus to take you up the river. You can also rent a cooler tube if you want it (same price). Note - you can NOT bring your own tube. Unlimited bus service is included in the tube rental. They usually offer long trips or short trips, although if the river is low it will only be the short trips offered. If you float the whole way the short trip is pretty quick, 1 - 1.5hrs. You have two options - either try to get yourself stuck on rocks along the way (snagged up in the river to slow you down) or get in line for another bus ride and do it all over again. Canoes and kayaks are also available for rent. They will ask for id and give you different wrist bands if you are under/over 21. Also, NO GLASS allowed on the river -- and yes, they do check all coolers as you're getting on the bus. There is quite a bit of drunken debauchery on this river but people are usually friendly and fun. If you're going on a summer weekend, I'd recommend getting there on the earlier side (10am-ish) as there's barely a line and parking is easy then. By early afternoon the lines will be long and you'll have to park in an overflow lot and have a bit of a walk. There is also a campground here but I've never stayed at it - but given the river crowd, my hunch is that it's quite the party zone.

I came here for the first time with my extended family last weekend and have really mixed feelings…read moreabout our stay. The good: staff was friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive. Our campsite was nice and we had a nice view of Bear Lake. The main restrooms were cleaned constantly throughout the day and were well stocked. There's a nice big playground in the middle of the campground that my niece just loved. There were a lot of families there and I get the sense that this could be a place where people just love to come; it certainly seemed that way based off how many people had seasonal sites super decked out. The cons: The sites are all identified with their numbers, but I think they could be a little more clear. Both myself and my in-laws accidently set up in the wrong sites because of the way that we were instructed to drive in; the identification markers were after where our site was. So we had to be one spot over from where we were, but we actually both accidently set up in the sites just after where we should have been. It really wasn't a big deal and clearly it was our own fault, but it could have been more clear. We were excited to maybe play on the mini-golf course, but there was a lot of debris on the greens and the grass all around it really needed to be cut. The decorations around the grounds too look like they could use some TLC. We checked out the (tiny, super tiny) sandy beach area and thought it could have been cleaned up a bit. We went down right away one morning and found garbage on the ground & random dirty beach towels where towels don't belong. Later in the afternoon when we went back down there to see what was going on we saw the same pieces of garbage and towels in the same spots. We thought surely by then someone from the staff would have come cleaned it up. We were looking forward to getting in the water and possibly renting some of the water equipment they had at the campground (which would have been so nice), but we heard from several people there was swimmers itch in the water. What a letdown! Not the campgrounds fault at all, but our experience was less than what it could have been. I think this place has potential to be really fantastic, just needs a little more TLC.

Not only will you need to buy to stock your camper for your stay you are also EXPECTED to buy drinks/food from the bar/camp store/tiki bar. So whatever you plan on having for a budget double it or don't go swimming and enjoy your day. Coolers, drinks, food, ect not allowed unless purchased from the campground themselves. $8 for a cheeseburger and $65/night for camping.

The new owners have pushed customers out due to no longer allowing ANY carry ins basically forcing you to buy from their bar. Not even water bottles! There was nobody out watching for the new $10 per person wristbands so we basically paid for nothing (aside from Mondays apparently) Aside from hearing about my diabetic issues, they did not allow me to bring any small snacks EVEN THOUGH they allowed me to bring in a backpack that they said we couldn't even have? It was nice to relax in and they have improved on adding a better playground for older kids, but I am not impressed with the raise in prices for everything. If you want a seasonal pass for your family, get ready to pay $150 In the bathrooms, there's black mold, hair everywhere, and white stuff on the curtains. The stalls have the BIGGEST gap I have ever seen, and I've rewatched titanic 500 times. It's almost to your knees and the curtains are transparent. The porta potty: Blood, everywhere Like someone had just been murdered.

So make sure you ask for a site on higher ground especially if you have a tent - The worst part was the amount of alcoholics at this campground. The chippys on the green where they have an arcade for the kids and crafts for kids but they also have a bar. My kids were freaked out by the old drunk men approaching them mistaking them for someone else. My daughter said one drunk was trying to scare the kids. Then all these drunk people jump on their golf cart with their alcoholic beverages in their hand and drive off. Overall the kids had a pretty good time. Will we be back? No although a pretty nice campground I feel that it's too big for my family and it's not maintained like it should be due to its size things are being forgotten just not for our family

Came back 45 second later to order, had no idea what to order so we made a decision fast, not even reading the entire menu. We later wished we ordered differently as we didn't see the whole menu. Perch was SUPER fishy, my curly fries were undercooked and cold, and my 4 piece chicken consisted of one thigh, and 3 legs. As a female, I never eat all the protein given to me at a meal, and I was left hungry, and not for the cold curly fries I was given. She didn't ask us for another cocktail. I was sitting for 20 minutes without water or a cocktail. She brings us our meal and before we can say we'd like another drink, she walks away. 20 minutes pass, she comes over with the check. I said, we would like another round of drinks... and she rolled her eyes at us. She had to recalculate the bill. She asked my husband what he wanted, asked if he wanted a double, he said yes. I also ordered and wanted a double. They bring us our drinks, not what we ordered, at all, either of us, and they were singles. ...ok... whatever. Got our check. ... Went to the bar, ordered what we did before and got different tasting drinks.... I'm honestly disappointed. This place was highly rated and we had such a bad experience. We live 10 min away and don't know if we will be coming back.
