    What a nightmare. We first spotted the location months ago. Seemed cute and full of character. We coordinated with the owner via text message and everything seemed on track. When we arrived the owner was not on the property. She was out of town and could only be contacted via text. We made sure that we clarified what responsibility would be theirs and what would be ours. On the day of our event she was nowhere to be found. We had a few issues with the venue. Started with missing chairs and tables. The linens were supposed to be black. We received 6 hand made round tables that were wobbling. Those tables only had white linen so they marks and dirt showed through the linen.The air conditioner in the bridal suite was insufficient for the space. No insulation so it was a sweat lodge. The bride was not able to get ready in the suite.The toilet was absolutely disgusting. It was broken and had residual waste.We did not have enough napkins and silverware for the guests. We were short quite a bit. We also added servers and clean up for the dinner. Next major issue was when the owner and her daughter appeared, (who were acting as the servers) we asked them to start heating the food so it would be warm for the guest. I placed the three trays of chicken in the oven to keep it warm. The oven was filthy and it started to release an odor of fish. They turned it off and tried to wipe it with an oven mitt. Never mentioned to us the oven was no longer on. The food was still not heated by the end of the ceremony. The fact I had to do all this myself when it was supposed to be handled by the servers was unacceptable. We paid for this service so we wouldn't have to worry about this and actually enjoy the wedding. The staff wandered off and where no where to be found. We pulled the trays and started moving trays ourselves. The napkins were folded by our guests. The tables were cleared by our guests. When the it came time for the toast the owner let us know that she put the glasses away already delaying the toast.When they were brought out they only had 60 glasses. We had about 100 guests. The whole night was a series of unfortunate incidents. I missed most of the dinner and evening events because I had to step in and do what they dropped the ball on. We already paid for this service.We called her the next morning to let her know our concerns and she came over an hour later and denied every incident and said they did everything asked of them and said we were blatantly lying. They were smirking and not taking our concerns seriously.The house was not sufficiently stocked with toilet paper. So for your viewing pleasure I have attached photos of the venue itself and you can decide if you want to take a chance on allowing your event to be ruined by the lack of accountability and professionalism we received. In response to the owner. Not surprised that you are not accepting any accountability. You can not flush a broken toilet that contains no water. The amount of filth in the oven does not happen within a 24-48 hour window. The same for the microwave. We did not even have 20 people in the house.A simple apology would have been appreciated. I can post more pictures of the text with detail. I will leave the pictures to do all the talking. There were only 60 glasses. I am the one you spoke with. Remember when you jokingly said you put the glasses away already, You must have been working too quickly. Usually glasses are put away after a toast. You were responsible for bussing the tables. Staff was no where to be found. I'm assuming the positive Reviews didn't include the use the kitchen during the events.We tried to look for you several times. Especially when the food was supposed to be heated. I hope you have better hospitality and customer service with future business. Good luck! And this is not the first negative review. Maybe you need to double check. I would start with air bnb. I think it's time you hire a professional company to do a deep cleaning in the house. I would start with the oven. You are so out of touch with your clients that you wished me a happy marriage. I am not the bride. I have been married for over 18 years. It's unfortunate I missed so much of my sons special day because you dropped the ball several times. It didn't have to get to this point. We gave you an opportunity to resolve this issue and you decided to shift blame and lie saying you did all these things. The pictures are in response to you saying you cleared the plates and did everything you were supposed to do during dinner service. They were still left out the next morning. We cleared our own tables that night. ps it's roll not roles you might want to look up the word. So you can understand you failed in your role as owner.
