Quaint little inn in the middle of PMC village. The owner and inn keeper Diana is such a kind, wonderful soul who does a great job of keeping the inn clean and well maintained. The room was lovely, nicely furnished and equipped with everything you need for a few days including fridge and microwave, coffee maker, variety of coffees, teas, and even hot chocolate. The art on the walls is Diana's own photography. The light breakfast served daily from 8-10 includes yogurt, fresh fruit, granola bars, juice, coffee, and milk. It was perfect if you don't need a big meal to start your day, but if you do, the cafe next door has breakfast options for sale. I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area and need a place to stay for a few nights. read more

We were blessed with arrangements being made for us all we had to do was show up. Show up we did on our bright shiny motorcycles and bags in tow. After lane splitting for hours Diane waved us down and said she could check us into our room. We stayed in a room that overlooked our motorcycles so it was perfect. I wish I had taken photos of the room. It was decorated beautifully with photos taken by Diane as well as art on the walls by her sister. After showing us how to turn on shower, where extra amenities were we set out to explore. The town is a gem and everyone in it was so hospitable I can't wait to return. The room was perfect to come home too and enjoy a glass of wine in front of your own little fireplace. Yes you read that right. We enjoyed a fire before going to bed. It's a great place for a romantic getaway or a girls weekend. Highly recommend heading there. If you're lucky enough to talk to Diane you may even find out some of the hidden gems and where to talk a walk. Let's just say the walk I took I found Jesus. We stayed in PMI a few years ago and loved it, and came back for New Year's this year. Everything we loved was still true - the beautiful area, the rustic charm of the inn, the relaxed friendliness of the locals. But I'm writing to push how wonderful Diana was to us at all times. From extra help moving in, to putting trays of the things we wanted from the lobby onto our porch, to dealing with our puppy (who could be off-putting to some) in ways that made everyone involved feel heard and taken care of. It's hard to imagine anything she could have been better with. We will be back much sooner! read more

I tried something new for me at a restaurant ( quash soup ) it was great.. my only complaint of the night was no bread served with the soup and felt like it was needed that..but I have a feeling they just ran out of the bread that night.. everything else was great they had some special drinks of the house that we all loved!! We even took over the entire inn for a special event a few summers ago and created memories we will cherish for the rest of our lives. What a lovely gem Tucktaway in the mountain. We recently had to stay in the Jordan room and it was absolutely fabulous. Everything was in order and where it needed to be the artwork hanging on the wall welcomed you as you came in the fireplace was immaculate in the private balcony was icing on the cake. We made the drive from Los Angeles which only took about 60 minutes but it was well worth it. The innkeeper made it such a painless process everything was ready for us and good to go. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with our stay at the Pine Mountain Inn. You're in walking distance of the little town center which has a general store, a Little boutique store, art store. We were lucky enough to visit all three and came away with some goodies. If you get hungry there's a pizza parlor in the vicinity and also a Mexican restaurant. We dined at the Mexican restaurant and they were so hospitable and the food was delicious thank you Lena. I am looking forward to my return to the Pine Mountain Inn, once the snow starts falling that will be my cue to head up and enjoy a nice glass of wine while it snows outside and the fireplace crackling.. read more

We visit PMC a few times a year and this will be where we stay from now on! The owners are the nicest people and the room was adorable, well appointed, and immaculate! I'm sensitive to dust and smells and was just so happy with the fresh and airy room with plenty of natural light. Just a short walk to the clubhouse to enjoy the pool with the guest passes, and plenty of nearby trails for jogging and hiking. I've probably stayed here a dozen times over the past eight years, from Diana's ownership to Elizabeth & Tony's. I've probably stayed in every room. And I just requested a reservation for early Spring. This place is the definition of hospitality, from the reservation to the "fare well" I get when I leave. The rooms are large, the bathrooms are modern and clean. The beds are amazing, I wish I could find out who makes the mattresses. My family and I were stranded in a snow storm of over 2 feet in a 24 hour period. We were so incredibly lucky that Diana was able to help us. This was like staying at your grandma's house. Whatever we needed she was able to help. The room was warm and spacious. The fireplace kept us extra warm. Located in the Village you are next to restaurants and a 2 min walk to the general store. Talk about hospitality! I had such a wonderful stay at the Pine Mountain Inn, in Pine Mountain Club, this weekend. This charming cabin style hotel has rooms that are uniquely different from one another. The views from the balcony were spectacular and we enjoyed a beautiful starry night. Our in room coffee maker was coupled with a large variety of coffee choices. The gorgeous fireplace gave the room a majestic feel and I sincerely wish it would have been cold enough to light the fire! Next door there is a quaint restaurant called "The Hideaway" that offers indoor and outdoor dining with live bands on the weekends. As hotel guests we had the opportunity to get a pass to visit the new larger pool at the Clubhouse. It was so invigorating on such a hot day! The new owners spared no expense with a complimentary bottle of wine that was chilled and ready for us upon arrival. Needless to say, we will definitely be back! read more

Quaint and nestled in the trees of Pine Mountain, this little place was great for a few nights of relaxation and getaway. Just an hour north of LA, we were welcomed by fresh air, a tiny blanket of snow on the ground and Diana, the innkeeper, who is the nicest and sweetest woman ever. The rooms are immaculately clean and cozy. A couple of local restaurants are within walking distance including pizza and Mexican food. A general store and gas station are within walking as well. Diana is overly accommodating in making sure your stay here is perfect. She offers a light and easy breakfast for you each morning and is always full of smiles and friendliness. I am thrilled to give this cool hideaway a 5 star review. Diana, who owns and runs this hotel knows what she's doing. The rooms are unique, nicely appointed, super clean and very well maintained. You can tell that someone really cares about this place. From the soft, thick white towels, the comfortable bed, to the 'shaved' ice machine. This is my favorite place to go whenever I want to get away. The rooms are beautiful and each have their own theme. Beds are super comfy. I believe I've stayed in all of the rooms...my favorite are the ones upstairs with a fireplace. Diana always makes sure you feel right at home. Breakfast, bubbles and coffee. She even made sure we had Epsom salts to soak in after riding motorcycles through the trails. The inn is located in the town center so you can walk to any restaurant you desire. What a wonderful experience! We stayed three nights in the gorgeous Mountain Trail room. It's so cozy and incredibly charming. The Innkeepers did everything they could to make our stay special. We were celebrating our anniversary and I couldn't have chosen a better place to spend a relaxing long weekend. We had new logs for the fireplace left on our semi-private balcony each evening. The room was well stocked with coffee for the Keurig and the Continental breakfast was great each morning. The room was incredibly clean and smelled so good as we first walked in. It was beautiful weather and the clean mountain air was such a treat. There are great restaurants and shops within just a few feet of the Inn. We can't recommend this Inn enough! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway you must stay at the Pine Mountain Inn. We will definitely be back! read more

My gf and I recently stayed here and literally cannot put into words how amazing our stay was. - Diane (the owner and inn keeper) is one of the best human beings we have ever met. She charged us for our two night stay only after we stayed there - she said she wanted to provide value before accepting a payment. What business does that in 2018? - No stone has been left unturned inside the rooms... feels like we were inside a luxury log cabin. Rustic yet luxurious. WOW! Would have paid double. - I have traveled all over the world. This is one of my favorite little gems. We are already planning to go back this summer. - The town of Pine Mountain is like the Shire in Lord of the Rings. MAGICAL! Go now... It's cheaper than therapy, and more effective i'd bet...I so needed this little get away. I've traveled all over the globe and this was just the perfect little vacation from LA that I needed. Even though it was only for one night. We couldn't find more time than that away from all our obligations. Luckily it's only an hour and a half drive from the Valley. We went up for my birthday. My wife and I had a stressful two weeks or so prior. However that all started to dissipate as soon as we arrived. Diane the Inn Keeper was delightful, and such a generous hostess. This was my birthday so she brought up a bottle of bubbly (in this case non-alcoholic at my wife's request although Champagne was an option.) This made it fun to toast with the boys on the deck off the room. The room was immaculate with a fireplace and logs ready to go. Water bottles free...There were extra cots for our kids. We felt like we had our own cabin in the woods. However it had the convenience of being in the middle of the cutest little town I think I've ever seen in the States. Great view of the mountain and town from our deck. We also liked the other people staying there. And found out that a couple of the rooms downstairs are pet friendly. I think we will bring our Lab next time. Breakfast was a real treat. Much better than most of the hotel chains offer. She is not allowed to cook anything by code but she more than compensates with a wide variety of options that don't require a kitchen. We took all the doors and roof off our Jeep and left them temporarily at the Inn, while we went 4 Wheeling in nearby Frazier Park. This inn is 15-20 minutes from where the Miller Jeep Trail starts. My wife didn't feel up for the heavy duty trails so we stuck to fire roads which led to spectacular view points. Great pines etc... One word to the wise. You are at altitude. If you plan to drink have lots of water near the bed. Two beers with dinner, and I was parched all night. Other than that very comfortable. Did I mention that this little town is awesome. Super nice people. Almost everyone on the street said Hi.... To the point that we fell in love with a beautiful log home up the street, and seriously dreamed of buying it. I came up with twenty ways. But then decided it's just so much easier to simply go back and let Diane spoil us at Pine Mountain Inn. I can't wait till the next trip back. read more

Still amazing! Before our stay, they deserved 5 stars; and now after our stay, I wish I could leave 6 or even more. Diana was so friendly and informative and helpful for our entire stay. She gave us a few spots to check out for finding some real snow (since it wasn't falling too hard where we were) and we saw the most amazing views. Absolutely the most amazing snow we've ever been in. The trails themselves were so nice; but covered in snow, they were breathtaking. The a Woodland Waterfall and Enchanted Forest trails were where she sent us and they couldn't have been more perfect. We didn't completely hike both trails, but we didn't need to. Just a small hike was enough. We were so happy with where she sent us, it was exactly what we were looking for. No where else that we've stayed have we had such amazing hospitality shown towards us. Diana talked with us like we were old friends and gave us a tour of a few other rooms. We've already decided which one we want to stay in next time. And there definitely will be a next time; we'd be stupid not to make a trip up here again. It was too perfect. My stay this weekend was amazing! My husband and I stayed in the wildflower room. The decor is cute and the attention to details was probably my favorite part. The gracious inn taker showed us to our room and gave us a tour and showed us how everything worked. The room was cozy and had a great deck. The bathroom was stocked with the large size Kirkland brand shampoo and conditioner. The location of this inn was perfect. We walked to all the restaurants and bar. My wife and I spent one night this weekend and couldn't have been happier with the inn. The Star room was large, nicely appointed, comfy and very reasonably priced. I could live in it easily. The host, Diana, was lovely and welcoming. The inn sits in the middle of Pine Mountain Club, making it easy to walk most anywhere. You even have access the PMC clubhouse, which is just fine. The inn is the perfect weekend getaway. From Ojai it's just a two-hour drive (through beautiful Lockwood Valley), making it very accessible for us. From downtown LA it's just an hour and a half. In short, this place was a fantastic find for us, and we'll be back. read more
