I was…read morenotified by my neighbors that my prior gardener (Dan's Mowing and Trimming) was either regularly not showing up for work or performing a fraction of the property maintenance agreed upon, while still collecting monthly fees! Thankfully Ryan took on our estate and after performing a HUGE clean-up of what amounted to months of overgrowth and replanting vegetation that had died of neglect, our landscaping is back on track! Ryan is very friendly and super easy to work with! I really enjoy that he is flexible and seems to not only enjoy his job, but is really good at it! He has gone above and beyond in not only meeting my requests but offering up advice on what may work best for my yard without making it a "hard sell." I really appreciate that he seems to have a vested interesting in making my property look the best it can while looking after the health of my plants which I have not seen with some of the other local gardening companies. I like supporting good people who do a good job--Ryan is one of those people. I have no doubt anyone utilizing his services will be happy with the results he produces!

While walking about doing my touristy look-ee looing around downtown Pismo Beach, I spied this shop. The colorful 6 feet tall metal T Rex caught my eye. It was in front of the shop next to the shops garden art outdoor gate. Well I stepped right in, garden art galore. Water fountains, wall art, wind chimes, decorative rain spouts, statues, stepping stones, seating, etc.... in tons of styles from Big Foot hunters to tranquil Asian Zen to serene religious to charming English countryside to beach theme to fairy whimsy to funky industrial modern to retro mid century....so on. The interior shop had more art, plus hardware inventory. They even carried a small selection of bbqs. They had a charcoal Weber at a summer close out pricing. Also if you have a pesky rodent or bird issue, they got you covered. I am somewhat familiar with that issue since I currently battled the takeover of a portion of my roof to a flock of birds. I was impressed with the bird deterrent inventory. Better than the big box. The shop even has a website. Pismobobs.com. #PismoGardenArtAndHardware

Aaron was responsive, friendly, and took the time to answer all of our questions throughout the process. He really worked with us to make sure we were happy with the final outcome. We truly appreciated their communication, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right. MY EXPERIENCE / MY OPINION. HIRE THE KID NEXT DOOR BEFORE YOU HIRE THIS GUY!!! For twenty three…read moremonths, I have paid this company an excessive amount of money for services promised on their website and in our contract that they have not been able to deliver. The owner of the company, Erik Wolting, is a petty man who has only been to my property on one occasion that I am aware of. When I have had to complain to him about the poor work of his employees, he always responds that his employees disagree with me and suggests or indicates that I might be mistaken. I have had to back up my complaints with photos and videos. Last spring, I notified him that my roses and hydrangeas were in terrible shape. His website clearly states that his "professional crew is trained to look for disease and pests" on plants, but they clearly missed this!! And, our contract, too, spelled out that they would look for disease and insects and treat accordingly, but they had not. A garden club group came to tour my place and were shocked by what they saw. Finally, Erik came by and saw that what I had been telling him was true. He admitted that "we blew it" and that it would never happen again. ... Well, it happened again this year. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. His crew repeatedly "clipped" a half inch here and there off my shrubs and hedges and probably noted in their reports that they were keeping them trim, but all the while they were actually allowing them to grow out of control. Two large shrubs in the front of the house that Erik noted last year, saying, "I'll have the guys even those up" are still lopsided and uneven. I had American Leak Detectors come out to find a leak in the $4,000+ irrigation system Erik's "expert" installed (but that they haven't been able to maintain, because it's "just impossible to do" according to Erik) and American Leak Detectors found the leak. They sent the report with the diagram and exact location of the leak to Erik and his team - but it took his expert THREE DAYS to find it. I was paying him by the hour, and he had a cigarette in his mouth the entire time. The final straw was last week. I have a eucalyptus tree that was not getting water. I noted it in an email to the office manager, and asked her to have the crew check it. Erik responded after the visit with the crew's notes: "the eucalyptus tree she notes is not a eucalyptus at all but is an old oak tree." ... No, the old oak is three feet from the young eucalyptus that isn't getting any water, but the brilliant people he hires didn't bother to look three feet to didn't bother to look three feet to the left to see the dying tree. When I sent Erik a photo of the two trees, side by side, he EXPLODED. The petty, pathetic little man didn't have the integrity or dignity to admit his crew was wrong or to speak with me. He had his office manager email me and QUIT. He said - essentially - that if I want a company that can keep an eye out for disease, insects and watering issues, I was asking for WAY TOO MUCH. I kept thinking they would get better. Erik kept defending his crews. Believing them, even when I had photos / videos to prove my point. I've saved every text and email. He didn't live up to the contract. He said his brilliant crew chief Steve has won an award, and I'm guessing it was student of the week at his preschool. Erik is not a fair and decent man to do business with, and this is only the first of many reviews I will be leaving. Save yourself the grief.
