They strike your gardens, bird bath will be shattered, double check if you are hiking - get to safety and not under a tree, these Colorado lightning storms will split a tree and YOU! Individual booths, to large lounging sofa type seating with lower tables; including 5 mini to 10 person private rooms, renting free for two hours, (these are booked in advance and do go fast). Including the "Majestic Ceiling To "almost" Floor" Windows, capturing a walk-about park, eye resting greenery; watch the Canadian Geese flying overhead, or if in luck, you will see flying eagles and hawks soaring in the blue skies, these windows capture the entire Rocky mountain range. And there is more: All these lovely perks, a lounge with oversize seating and low lying tables to plug in and work or view the park's landscape. There are tall tables for several to join or singularly - "PLUG IN" some playing online chess, others' concentrated on projects or gaming. Additionally, there are more larger private rooms, where we had a community Voting and registration, well organized and simple. These rooms host a diversity of functions, from story time to reading of a particular book week for anyone who enjoys listening. AND Spanish classes conducted by Emmanuel! (see the short video below) This Library is located across from Belmar shopping, across from Whole Foods, Target, and a host of many boutiques/stores in Lakewood. As a library kid myself, I was happy to have such a great little neighborhood library be my daughter's first library experience. Ford-Warren has weekly story times, a great kids section, and lots of interactive learning toys. My little one loved the play kitchen and the tablets, and she got to play with other children visiting the library. The free A/C in summer was a huge bonus! Also free internet, free printing, and of course, lots of great books. The staff are super friendly and very helpful, whether you need to request a book from another branch or figure out how to use the printer. If you live in the neighborhood, please support this library!

I found a nice spot to setup and complete my reports and other business matters. The first floor has the kids section and the second floor is for people that want to read, do homework, or set up their laptops for work. As some people collect visits to coffee shops and the like, I collect visits to libraries, and this place was a good stop.

I am writing to share a very concerning experience my son and his grandfather had during Story Time…read moreyesterday. From the moment they arrived, they felt they were treated differently than the other families in attendance. My son was not allowed to have any of the toys that other children were using. Later, when stamps were handed out to the children, every child received one except for my son. The librarian looked him up and down and intentionally moved on without giving him a stamp. My father-in-law also tried asking a few questions about Story Time, but instead of receiving help, he said the librarian raised her voice at both him and my young son. Throughout the program, she appeared to engage warmly with the other children while largely ignoring my son. This was incredibly hurtful for our family. Story Time should be a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and treated with kindness. No child should leave feeling excluded. I hope you will look into this matter and ensure that all families are treated with respect and fairness. Thank you for taking the time to hear our concerns, and I would appreciate hearing what steps will be taken to address this situation.
