Very helpful gentleman offered us a ride on a golf cart to the front of the building. I think I obtained a whiplash from that uphill ride. It still was helpful to us and good customer service. We passed one room where a funeral service was in progress. It seemed to be nice and adequate. In the lobby, after passing a beautiful stain glass window, we found a front desk and got some assistance from there. The viewing room was simple but had a beautifully painted water scenery on the wall, simple but nice furniture, and a stand for the quest book. Flower arrangements were placed neatly around the coffin. This beautiful old lady looked so dignified in her coffin. Of course the family had provided her clothing, a hat, jewelry and gloves. Lipstick was perfect and every piece of her hair was fixed professionaly. I was told that this was her style, so the funeral home had done an amazing job to prepare her for her final " walk through the Pearly Gates."

Visited my parents graves today. It is very disturbing to see how unkept the gravesites are. My…read moreparents have been there many years and I've seen it bad before but today was the worst!! From ant beds taking over, flower vases broken off built in markets , grass and weeds completely out of control, it looks more like a war zone than a cemetery! My parents are in St Luke. I spoke with the office and was told by the person that she was in shock and would have to talk to maintenance about it!! My question is who at Dignity holds maintenance accountable? Do they ever just walk the cemetery to make sure they are doing their job or do they just assume it's getting done?? How do I find out why DIGNITY is NOT showing our love ones much DIGNITY? It's awful and I so hate it has come to this! I have a video to back this up!!

Don't bother prepaying for a funeral and checking the "my family cannot change" box on the contract…read moreas it means absolutely nothing if you have a family member who will disrespect your wishes and change things to be what is best for them. Apparently, GA law trumps the contract McMullen sells and they don't bother to tell you this when you are paying in FULL for YOUR OWN FUNERAL. So their contract is misleading and meaningless, and they will not honor it. They also provide nonchalant and callous explanations to grieving loved ones who are naturally upset that the preplanned and paid in full funeral that they witnessed the deceased arrange is changed AFTER a meeting where all agreed, and no notice was sent about the change. They even go to the extent of saying, oh you'd be surprised how many people we make mad...like it's some badge of honor or humble brag.

I'm a recent college grad with no credit. I offered to show proof and references of rent, utilities, etc. that were always paid on time but they still said no. Maybe they've been stuck with non-payers before. Or maybe they just didn't need my business that bad. Oh well, let's just say I was not impressed with their "dedication to do all we can for the bereaved and help them cope with the loss of a loved one by providing a professional, caring, understanding and compassionate response to their needs. " If you pre-arrange a funeral (can't do that with a young person's unexpected death) or if you can pay cash, maybe they do a fine job.

He looked like himself, but when we went back to check his body before anybody else could see him they had clean, shave him, which we asked not to do, but they did. He didn't even look like yourself. People kept saying who is that now we go to pick up his body because he was being cremated today and we get there and they say his body is not ready yet so they let you keep going through the trauma and you're trying to do what you need to do for your family member. I don't know if they thinking about that or not, that's your loved one that they have messed up on and all they can say is I'm sorry that's unacceptable. So advise anybody don't take your love on there. It's not a good place.

The staff did not speak with care to my family member as I expected during the time they mourned. The staff should be aware who the key members are i.e. the spouse or closes individual to the the deseased. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!…read more My loved one was laid to rest by this company. Being out of state I sent a condolence letter not knowing that I was speaking to the owner and the experience was less than professional. I had emailed (using the email provided on the website) a soft copy of the condolence letter and had not received a confirmation email as requested so I was left to call. When I called I was informed that the person on the other line (representing this company/funeral home) was at church as was I and that she would contact me later. I had to ask if I could give her my contact information so that she could call me back. As I did so I went to ask a question and was hung up on. I had to call again as I myself was now attending my second church service to confirm receipt as I NEVER received a call back as promised. As the same lady who sounded as though she was now eating/chewing on something responded that she had received the letter and would read the condolence at the funeral service and was immediately followed with another instant hang up. I called today to speak with a supervisor or manager as with the company advertising to be available 24 hours was met with "I am at church right now" to say the least, which was very unprofessional and not any of my business or concern and would hopefully be explained in a more professional manner. I have done this for many years and this is the second most unprofessional business I have encountered. So as I called today to express my experience ...I asked immediately for a manger or supervisor (note: the woman that answered the phone did not provide her name) she asked what was the name of the person I spoke with yesterday and why was I calling. I stated yet again that I needed to speak with the manger or supervisor and was met with "well I need to know what this is about" and who you spoke with. I stated just as you didn't provide your name the woman that I spoke with yesterday (that sounded like an older woman) didn't provide her name either so I didn't know. I then had to ask her name (the one on the phone), Katherine. She then asked me if I knew the name of the person I wrote the condolence letter for (who asks such a question?). Why would I be confused or not know the name of the deceased (in which is my relative as I had informed both women). I told the woman on the phone that the experience with her was not great either and mentioned if this was their (business) culture is was terrible. This same lady apologized for the other lady's behavior and went to explain that b/c it is a 24 hour service she could've been at a church service (apologize for someone else not herself and then explain to justify the experience---please stop!). She then asked for me my contact info and then hug up as well (again...same business culture--not surprised). I then received a call from a woman who said her name was Sharon, and that she was the one that I spoke with on yesterday also that the condolence letter was read at the service. I asked if she was the owner and she said, "yes". Appalled that she was the owner I told her that I would proceed further as I thought surely there was someone else that was the owner and not the one that presented such behavior (no need to speak with the very person who had the TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR).
