We are very grateful to Anna Mamiya and the team at PAC for helping our daughter! Her condition made everyday life for her very stressful and painful. It impacted pretty much every aspect of her life and determined what we could do as a family. We are now able to eat dinner as a family again and go out in public to loud spaces - like the mall, Costco, etc. School has become much easier. The treatment does not cure misophonia, but it does teach her brain that the trigger sounds are not something that it needs to react strongly to and get away from. Yes, chewing sounds will always be annoying, but there is no strong emotional response anymore. But this is a Monday when I am leaving for a 3-week international trip. In desperation, I send an email to the clinic. Within a few hours, Kirsten calls me and 20 minutes later, I'm in the office on a Saturday and she replaces a faulty wire. Plus, she gives me backups to take with me on my travels. This above-and-beyond support typifies my experience over many years. With people like Kirsten and Dr. Limb, who listens and is a miracle worker at finding just the right adjustment to make my hearing aids be their most effective, I rely on their whole team. the only reason I'm giving one star is because you can't give zero!…read more Beware. 2 years after My elderly father went in for hearing test we have learned that the accounting taking place at A-plus hearing is not very honest. And I suspect there's possibly multiple other people who have been scammed and are not even aware of it. My father supposedly received hearing aids and his insurance company was billed. And A-Plus hearing submitted a claim and received $1,000 check towards my dad's bill. My dad is adamant that he never did even receive hearing aids. We've never seen them, however the owner is claiming that my dad did receive hearing aids and brought them back. Either way the thousand dollars that was paid to them should have been refunded to the insurance company, right? The only way we discovered this was because my father has gone somewhere else (two years later) for hearing aids and submitted his bill to insurance company which denied it. Why? because A+ hearing already filed a claim for hearing aids 2 years ago that my father does not have. When trying to figure this all out the owner and the accounting department acted very suspiciousl. The insurance company also contacted them and they were in agreement that something fishy is going on here. The owner told my father he would send him $1,000 check. ( When that does not solve his insurance issue he's having now). When in actuality it needs to go back to the insurance company but for some reason he doesn't want to deal with the insurance company. Imagine that. So he's getting a $1,000 check "to make it all right", per the owners comment. I have searched my father's financial records and there was never a payment made by him personally. And the accounting office will not provide me a ledger of his account to see his appointments and proof of payments. I think this place is taking advantage of the elderly and the insurance companies. I can't even imagine this is the first...... And won't be the last..
