Just checking in after 6-month checkup..Dr. Littman greeted me exactly on time and asked about the experience w/previous months' use. He listens carefully and fully answered all my questions with language that I could understand. After going through some tweaking of the settings of my Omicron devices, to my satisfaction, he carefully took them to the lab to vacuum up any debris accumulated with the devices' usage. After changing out the replaceable pieces and returning them to me, Dr. Littman ensured that my next 6-month check-in was scheduled. I reached out to this business and spoke to Bianca on the phone at a time when I was desperate. The realization that my tinnitus was permanent was so distressing and I broke into tears on the phone. Bianca was so kind and tender, alleviating my fears and providing some of the best customer service you would ever be lucky to experience. I took my Mom to see Dr. Littman just before Thanksgiving this year. Her old hearing aids from Costco just weren't cutting it, and I wanted her to hear the conversation during the holidays. Dr Littman was so very patient and caring with her, and worked hard to find a solution that would get us through Thanksgiving. He found that both my Mom's speakers were broken. And repaired the one that could be fixed, and gave us a loaner to get us through Thanksgiving. Then when we came back in, in December, he was able to test her hearing to find that she needed a lot more help in her left ear. He found an affordable solution for us, rather than spending thousands on a new set of hearing aids, and now my Mom can hear SO MUCH BETTER! I can even be in the same room, watching TV, and the TV volume doesn't chase me out of the room! I'm so very glad we found Dr Littman! I have been seeing Dr. Littman for follow ups after a ear surgery I had last year in the Bay Area. In my opinion, Dr. Littman was very knowledgeable, patient, professional and genuinely cares about you. During my first visit, I had an audiogram and a detailed check up done. Due to some uncertainities in the findings, he suggested that we get opinions from the doctors who actually performed my surgery back in Stanford. Now, getting a response from the doctors at Stanford was something that was taking me really long, particularly because one of the two doctors was no longer working there. But Dr. Littman, and his assistant Bianca, persistently followed this up on my behalf and got me a response within a week's time ! His assistant, Bianca, is extremely helpful and a very nice person. Who would respond to emails sent at 10pm instantaneously ? She does ! Also, I've not had any problems getting 5pm appointments. That way, I don't have to get off work early. We have been with Tom Littman since my son was born almost 10 years ago with a hearing loss. At the time, Tom was head of his department and spent an hour with us and our questions even tho we didn't have an appointment. Not only did he provide solutions, he helped us through the grieving process when we learned our newborn baby couldn't hear. We have followed Tom to Bellevue even tho our home is in Shoreline, WA and there are many providers who are much closer to home (including Childrens)! We have stayed active with our son's birth to 3 program for children with hearing loss and regularly refer new parents to Tom Littman. We are always welcomed with a smile and feel relaxed from the moment we walk in and that is saying something for a mom with 9 and 11 year old boys! Often there is a basket of treats which always makes my boys happy. They are very easy going about the kids playing with the displays of hearing aids and other devices. I'd had my hearing tested three years ago at a different clinic, but they did not have any openings that fit my schedule. In spite of some poor reviews I'd read about the FHC on City Search, I figured I wasn't risking much for a simple hearing test. My assessment: the staff at this center care about the quality of service and take pride in what they do. What I experienced: - Testing at the FHC was much more extensive than the hearing tests that were administered at the other clinic - Equipment used at the FHC was 'better': rather than headphones which were used at the other clinic, special, custom-fitted ear inserts were used. Extremely more effective at blocking out ambient noise - With each test, Dr. Littman explained the procedure, what specific aspect of my hearing was being tested, and what the results meant. He encouraged me to ask questions. I did not feel rushed. - Dr Littman let me view my outer ear using a scope attached to a monitor. I'd never seen the inside of my ear before, and found it reassuring to see both my eardrums intact and the canals free of blockage. - At the end Dr Littman provided a very thorough summary of my test results using a descriptive chart which showed the status of hearing in each of my ears, with graphical examples of the sounds I could no longer easily hear (songbirds, voices in crowds, whispers). Using a printout of the ear's anatomy, he showed me what parts of my ear had positive test results and which parts (the cochlea) had degraded. - Kathy at the front desk was very friendly and receptive. She provided detailed instructions on how to locate their building, and was very understanding when I call to inform them I was running late due to traffic I'd obtained hearing aids from the other clinic but had them set aside after my work circumstances changed and I felt I no longer needed them. Dr. Littman encouraged me to wear them. He cited a recent study at Johns Hopkins which linked uncorrected hearing loss with an increased risk for dementia. He said the model I had as decent and appropriate for my type of hearing loss and did not try to sell me anything. Should I need another hearing test I will certainly return to FHC. read more

They provided such compassonate care for me. I am an older woman who desperately needed hearing aids. Both Dr. Tom and Bianca went out of their way to help me. I'm 73 years old and have succumbed to experiencing high frequency hearing loss. Dr. Littman expertly guided me to a set of hearing aids that now permit me to not depend on face-to-face communication at work (Yes, 73 and still working - because I enjoy it !), or to subject my wife to repeated requests for "what did you say ?" or overly loud TV. I have had the aids for four years now and am grateful for now being able to hear sounds I once had not heard for many years (as simple as the sound of my feet moving on carpet - and more). Wonderful and caring long-term service (fine tuning the aid performance, cleaning the aids, and provision of batteries and filters to protect the aids from ear wax build-up).
