Great staff but they have inept billing management. I haven't been here in almost a year and they keep sending me bills. I pay them so that I don't go to collections. Then, they send another. I call and they tell me that there's nothing that they can do to help me. I'm a disabled veteran on Tricare's insurance. Steer clear of this company. read more

Under new Management - Dr. Richard Barnes has retired and there is a new clinic director Erin is awesome. She has restructured the clinic and the new crew is very caring and very knowledgeable. Denise Hayes was my physical therapist, and during my visits she worked with an intern, Daniel and physical therapy aide Torben. They are all exceptional, kind and extremely knowledgable. Denise is a very skilled physical therapist, she was able to tailor therapy, exercises and manipulation to my individual needs and condition. I made amazing progress in healing with her. Torben is also exceptional, he took the time to show me every new exercise and was always checking on my pain tolerance and ability to do the exercises. Daniel was very kind and knowledgable and would take over for Denise some days, he cares very much for patients as well. They are an exceptional team, and I recommend them 100%. That said, I've had experience with another PT clinic as well, and they all seem to have a disconnect with their administration. Reception seems to be about sales quotas and not patient care/customer service. RET is sadly no exception. They have remote check in on a computer which feels very impersonal, and the one person they have at the front desk is very brusque and not patient oriented at all. RET is a business, I understand, although there should be at least a 5 minute grace period for appointment times, without reminder calls when you're 3 minutes late and just turning in to the parking lot. Also, be aware there is a $50 cancellation fee that they do NOT tell you about in advance if your plans suddenly change and you're not able to give them 24 hours notice. Sadly in today's world, it seems that true patient care is about taking the good with the bad. Again, Denise Hayes is an exceptional physical therapist, the absolute best! - but to see her you have to go through the sales quota admin staff, be warned. read more

Staff was unknowledgeable about what insurance they do and do not accept. After confirming that my insurance was indeed accepted on the website and with their reception and even making two appointments which I cleared my schedule for, after sending ALL of my personal and insurance information, received a phone call two days later from a very rude person who said "We don't accept your insurance", with which I replied that it was listed on the website and that I even had confirmed my insurance was accepted with someone whom scheduled my appointments and that it must be a mistake. This was responded with "I'm just a guy making a phone call, and your appointments have been cancelled". I suggested that they update the website and was responded with, "Why don't you call corporate and tell them to then?" I was appalled with the lack of knowledge and common courtesy shown to a would-be client. I wouldn't recommend these guys to my worst enemy. read more

8 years ago (2015) I used RET after left knee replacement surgery and loved the service and staff. In January 2023 I had right knee replacement surgery and returned to RET for PT, a big mistake! After 7 sessions my swelling, pain and discomfort were worse than after the surgery. When the therapist caused my sutures to bleed, I said enough! I switched to another PT venue in Redmond (ATI) and couldn't be more pleased. I would never recommend RET in Redmond to anyone who wants competent, knowledgeable, professional and effective PT. read more

I just took my 11 year old son here to be evaluated for foot pain. I was so blown away by Richard Barnes and the whole staff that I'm still trying to process it all. My son had wished aloud, "maybe there's an adjustment or something that will fix it right up and I can play in my soccer game this afternoon". I assured him that that couldn't happen but I was literally wrong, my son is out playing soccer right now! Dr.Barnes zeroed right in to what was happening (even noticing how he walked coming through the parking lot on the way into the office). He kept us both in stitches while educating us on exactly what the issues were and how we were going to solve this. Everything was handled great, From day 1 I was given a plan on how we were going to work on healing my shoulder and given the appropriate tools and exercises to work from home. Every time I went in I got great instructions and would be able to see progression and everyone was always very friendly. Would suggest if you need PT around here. read more

Over the last five years I've had physical therapy at many places and none compare with Eastside Physical Therapy. I really appreciate that my physical therapist (Austin Chau) didn't coddle me but didn't push me to do exercises that I wasn't ready for either. I like the fact that he carefully watched me and corrected me when needed but but praised me when I did the exercise correctly. And when I decided that it was time to leave, he didn't try to convince me that I should keep coming. Also, I really enjoyed the jolly but professional atmosphere that the entire staff creates. Max, Harrison, Richard, Jesse and the rest of the staff made me feel welcome and well cared for. When I need physical therapy again, I will certainly return to Eastside Physical Therapy. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this group! I've been going to RET twice a week for about a month now, and I can say with confidence that I have enjoyed EVERY session. Everyone here has been incredibly helpful with all of my issues and knowledgeable whenever I have questions. Not just Carol, but ALL of the techs (I usually work with Belle(sp?) who is a real sweetheart) and Amanda at the front desk made every effort to make me feel comfortable and welcome. I'm a big whiner when it's time to step up the exercise regimen, but I get really great support despite all my lazy grousing - a good mix of firm and cajoling. Friendly and professional are the two key words here :D The facility seems a bit odd from the outside since it's tucked away in a business park, but when you get inside, there's actually a LOT of room for any equipment you could imagine AND lots of floor space for calisthenic exercise. And this place is SO clean. I've been to other PT spaces that tried so hard to do what this place does, but still had that sweaty feet smell; none of those gross odors here! Everything is wiped down and cleaned when you get there and right after you've finished, and with none of those caustic cleaner odors in your face either! As for the treatment, make sure you stick with the program! I was a bit shaky the first few sessions, but my condition evened out after the initial hump, and has shown steady improvement in strength and lessening of pain and discomfort. I'm assuming these experiences vary with the patient and condition, but personally I feel that my sessions have been very successful. And Carol was more than willing to discuss alternative/additional treatments, so there's also that :) I would *highly* recommend RET to anyone in the area. Even if you're not in Eastside, this place is definitely worth the drive! read more

I just had an incredible initial consult with Lorinda. For an hour, she thoughtfully got to know my injury and its initial causes, symptoms, and stressors, and then spent time working with me on a treatment plan that I can work into my work life, physical activity, and daily schedule. She was compassionate, funny, incredible at pinpointing the issues I was experiencing, and I am honestly looking forward to going in as often as necessary to fix my problem. As a weekend warrior, I find frequently find myself in need of physical therapy. I've tried many physical therapists over the years. I would rate Richard Barnes as one of the best. He's highly insightful to zero in on the issues involved, an excellent communicator during the process, most importantly, he gets results through his interventions and recommendations for exercises to do at home. I love Eastside PT! I have known Jessica for a few years now and I can honestly say that she is one of the kindest healthcare providers I have ever met. I had shadowed her years before and I am now visiting her as a patient. She is extremely patient and teaches all her patients to incorporate the therapy as a lifestyle change. Unlike many physical therapists, massage is a huge part of her treatment plan-which I find incredibly effective. I really appreciate the fact that she listens to your needs and makes suggestions based on your lifestyle. An added bonus is that she is an excellent communicator and very easy to talk to. My family doctor referred me to Eastside PT for knee and neck problems. While it has taken a bit of time to really hone in on the root cause issue, Richard and his team work very hard to identify and then resolve the issue. While I'm still working with them to completely resolve, I have been so pleased with the level of communication, explanation and support. I also think they have a great team atmosphere. Eastside Physical Therapy has been a life-saver when it comes to my back. With a slipped disc in my lower back, I was constantly in pain, getting in the way of my usual exercise prsctices and even my job and my doctor recommended I try Eastside Physical Therapy. The staff at Eastside was extremely knowledgeable on how to mitigate this pain, working with me to strengthen my core, adjust my posture and train my muscles to function in a way that healed my back pain. They didn't merely give me generic stretches or basic exercises, but they tailor my routine each time I came in based on how I was doing and feeling, so I am always getting stronger and making progress. Jessica's use of soft-tissue massage to help my tight lower back muscles has seriously made it possible for me to continue my job where I'm on my feet for 10 hours a day. They gave me a personalized routine to do at home, and provided me the elastic band to do it. Plus, they actually take into consideration what I would say about how I was feelin that day, which I can't say for every PT I've been to!!! I have worked with the whole staff, and Jessica, Katie, Carol and Amanda. All have a fantastic disposition that made it enjoyable to arrive at the sessions. They are all upbeat, encouraging, and connected with me and their patients on a personal level. Sometimes when I am in their doing my exercises I see another one of the staff working with elderly patients and am always so impressed with their patience and ability to explain exercises to older patients or those who maybe don't speak English as a first language. If my grandma needed physical therapy, I would not hesitate to bring her here at all. Another bonus, this place is always clean. I hate when I'm at the gym and feel like I'm laying on a dusty dirty sweaty mat, yuck. Eastside Physical Therapy keeps their place in tip top shape, for sure. I am currently seeing Dr. Kelly Vogl and I am happy to be seen by such an amazing doctor as well as person. She really knows exactly what she is doing and at the same time she is such a sweet person. My appointments don't feel like "doctor" visits, more like coming in to see a friend while being treated.The entire staff is really great as well. Always smiling always polite.
