Hi everyone, It is not over. In fact, it has become worse. The mistreatment of patients should not be acceptable by anyone, especially not by Evergreen if they truly care. So yeah, here's a little recap... I went to Evergreen Sport & Sine because I was waking up every morning with numbness in my arms; sharp, shooting pains when I turned my head to fast; and numbness when I turned my head too far in most directions. I had to beg the doctor Abe just for an x-ray. He completely ignored and dismissed my request for an MRI. His prescription: "Go do some physical therapy to strengthen your neck muscles." I went to another doctor who immediately took x-rays, reviewed them, and immediately sent me to an MRI. The MRI showed three herniated discs. My newer, better doctor said that physical therapy had the potential to make everything worse. So Evergreen bills me $391.18. I contest that bill. They performatively review my facts only to state "We reviewed these facts and yes, you still owe us the money for the services we provided." They didn't care about the actual facts (misdiagnosis, malpractice, 2nd opinion; MRI; months of treatments [which are still happening], and thousands spent to get this "fixed".) They only care about their money. In fact, they threatened me with collections if I did not pay. So, I paid. It's not over! Last month, I receive a second bill from Evergreen sayong that I now owe Dr. Abe an additional $201.00 for his work misdiagnosing me. I called to request another review. In response, today on July 15, I received a "Your balance is now past due" notice. I'm sure that the threats will continue until I pay for the healthcare service I did not receive. I hear that doctors are supposed to "do no harm." Some Evergreen doctors must be told to "do no help". "But don't worry because we will all get paid anyway." read more

I was referred to this place by my PCP. I just went for one appointment and they charged me 2 bills. One for Doctor and one for the facility which I didn't understand. When I called billing, they mentioned it is standard charge for the hospital. Basically they are double charging you and your insurance doesn't cover most of the facility charge and we need to pay it read more

Went to Evergreen to get a second opinion on a hip replacement that had never stopped being painful 2 years after surgery. The staff and doctors at the orthopedic clinic were very professional , helpful and kind. The analysis of the problems I presented were thoroughly researched with extensive X-rays, cat scans , MRI, blood tests - everything necessary to define the problem. The end result was a redo of my Previous hip replacement due to a Loose stem. Dr Adam Rothenberg was the attending physician and he and his support staff Provided comprehensive pre And post Op care . There was one slight service concern when after surgery I was transferred from one room where the staff was highly trained, knowledgeable about what to do with post hip replacement surgery to a subsequent room that was too small, old and inadequate with staff that was not well trained and frequently did not seem to understand what to do including how to manage pain or get me to walking It was actually a significant reduction in the quality of care and I felt I would do much better at home as soon as possible. I am sure this in part do to the shortage in health care professionals but quality of care throughout Evergreens services and facilities was not always present. . read more

the first time It was Okay. The other times have been they have a mess either poor desk, people or no common sense and all 3 splints I've gotten from them have sucked. read more

Do not use them if you can. The way they bill is weird. They will charge you 2 ways, 1st charge is your doctor, and second charge is the facility charge. Watch out.....they are basically double billing you. Run away from this establishment. read more

I was referred to them for a cortisone shot due to neck injury. There has already been nerve damage due to inflammation over extended period. When trying to make an appointment, no one answered the phone after 10 minutes. I was prompted to leave a message several times so ultimately did. After 15 hours, no one had called back, so I called again and waited until someone answered. They sounded like they were coming up with every excuse possible to just have me go away. "The doctor can not meet for consultation for the next two months, and then it will be minimal 10 day delay to meet again for procedure." "You aren't in the system so I'll have to send a message to the person who does that paperwork, and that might take several days. Try calling back then." I'm checking with my doctor if there is any other option. This is pitiful. read more

Dr Burns is a new physician for me; so far he and the clinic has been great. Staff and MD informative, they treat me with respect and listen to me. Clinic is organized and prompt wig check in. Only complaint is it does take several weeks to get in for an appointment but someone good is busy! read more

I saw Dr Messerli at Evergreen sport and spine care for a herniated disk. I was very happy with his care. During the initial exam he explained the MRI, possible treatments, and what I could expect when I recovered. He has a good bedside manner and is low key. We decided on an x-ray guided cortisone injection in to the affected area. This went very smoothly and the care I recieved from his support staff was excellent. His office was great at relaying any messages I had and his replies were very timely. I did 7 weeks of physical therapy and am nearly back to normal. read more

The previous review is right on the money- bipolar. I've seen two doctors here, and both were fine. Getting an appointment is difficult, and I have never once called and not spent at least 5 minutes (often longer) on hold. Follow up is also not a strong suit. My first procedure was a PRP injection. I asked the doctor after the injection if I should schedule a follow up appointment. He seemed surprised by the question, and said "Well, if you have any questions I guess you could come see me in a few weeks." I took that as no, a follow up appointment is not necessary. That was a bit surprising, and makes me wonder how the doctor came up with the likelihood of success of the procedure when they don't routinely see patients afterwards. I actually wound up seeing another physiatrist when my procedure here was not successful. That doctor saw me two weeks after the injection, then 2 months afterward, then 4 months (and the injection was successful that time.) Fast forward about a year. I needed a different set of procedures and was referred back here, but to a different doctor than I'd seen for the . At first the person on the phone told me I could not see the doctor I was referred to, that I needed to see the doctor who'd given me the PRP injection. I explained that this was a totally different issue, and she said that didn't matter- any of their docs can handle any situation. (Really? They don't specialize at all?) I eventually did get to see the doc I was referred to. I needed two diagnostic procedures, and then a neurotomy. The doctor was kind and patient and knowledgeable. Again, the day of the procedure I asked if I needed a follow up visit. "We'll hunt you down in a month!" he told me, more than once. My procedure was two months ago, and nobody has hunted me down (or even called.) I really do wonder how they can say "this works x% of the time" when they don't see patients afterward to learn the outcome. I don't believe I will be back unless I'm referred here again and there is no alternative that is reasonably close by. read more

This clinic is the best. I went in for a shoulder/neck injury and was back to new in no time. Dr Zehnder is the best, and his PT recommendation in Juanita Village (Ryan) was awesome. Ryan led me thru stretches and exercises to get my movement back (frozen shoulder) and it worked. I highly recommend this place. The staff at the clinic is awesome. The only thing I did not enjoy was the long registration process on the iPad but once you do it the first time it gets easier. Very efficient, and well treated by the whole team. read more

I have been going here off and on for a few years for chronic degenerative neck problems. Dr. Messerli is a caring, professional and friendly physician. Their new office is really beautiful and the staff is always great, I have never had to wait long at all for an appointment. I only had to wait a few days when needed to schedule a prodecure I had to have done. Thanks! read more

Dr. Stout was great. She definitely pays attention to her patients. She noticed I was in more pain than normal for my diagnosis and modified the injection I received and suggested further imaging. I felt like that was great health care. The procedure was easy, quick and by the next day my pain level drastically decreased. read more

I saw Dr. Lee at Evergreen Sport and Spine for severe shoulder pain that was pretty much preventing me from doing anything without pain. I had seen several other specialists for this problem. But Dr. Lee really took the time to listen and look at the "big picture". He figured out the shoulder pain was actually being referred from another joint using an ultrasound machine right in the office. He gave me a cortisone injection (not too uncomfortable) that made a difference immediately and gave me some suggestions on how to protect the joint from further injury. I was so happy to finally know the actual cause of my shoulder pain AND to have some real pain relief. I now recommend Evergreen Sport and Spine whenever my family or friends have a sports injury or other orthopedic problem. read more

unfortunatly, my wife went to see Dr. Messerli for a back problem and for 3 months he gave her the run around and did not come up a diagnosis for her pain. He would not return her calls for months. So she decided to get another opinion from another two doctors that works out of the same office and no one would even agree to see her. Since she was unhappy with Dr. Messerli the other doctors decided to side with him instead of giving her a second opinion. So she went to UW medecine in Bellevue and had a diagnosis within a week. If you want good care then do not go to Dr. Messeril's office instead go to UW medecine. They are way more thorough and made sure that my wife was taken care of properly. read more

Been here twice for injuries I suffered running. Have never waited more than 5 minutes to be put in the room, the MAs are thorough and pleasant. Have seen Dr. Zehnder and have been happy with the treatment and followup. read more

Got an initial appointment, everything went well and pleasantly. Told me to come back if PT wasn't helping and they'd get me an MRI. Called ahead and told me it'd be 3 weeks until my appointment. Get to appointment 3 weeks later and doctor spends a total of 3 minutes with me! All the doctor did was give me a number to call to setup an appointment for an MRI. After he was already partway leaving I interjected and asked if he would sign my workplace accommodation paper because I work 10 hour shifts and cannot do one specific task that causes excruciating back pain while I do it (I had to visit the doctor on sight twice during the first week I started). He told me he wouldn't do it because I don't have a "serious problem" and dismissed me and left. Cannot believe I waited three weeks for an appointment for a doctor to just give me a number for another facility and tell me that my pain wasn't serious enough (generally 6-9 on a pain scale) to warrant getting some small accommodations work to prevent repetitive bending over and straining my back for a 10 hour shift... read more

Don't google the address it will take you to their old location. Then after you arrive 5 minutes late and wait in a 5minute line to check in your appointment will be cancelled/rescheduled. You would think a clinic of this size would figure out how to update location on the web -especially considering their move took place in September 2014. No friendly feeling here. read more

My review is of Sport and Spine, and not of the physicians, per se. I had a 1:00 appointment with Dr. Stout and had to reschedule because I was 7 minutes late. Evergreen Sport and Spine moved. Their new location is on NE 130th, just a few blocks away. Unfortunately, this information was not relayed to me at the time of scheduling, or in my reminder appointment phone call. Using the address on the website, I naturally went to the old location on NE 128th. I called promptly at 1:00 (this is when the phones turn over after lunch; hung up before this as I got the operator) to let them know I was in the old location. The receptionist said she'd have to talk to them "in the back". Back on the phone, she asked me if I did my new patient paperwork. Well no. I hadn't been sent any. Then she informed me I'd have to reschedule. Since I was already outside, I said I'd come in and do that. Once inside, I verified that they had my email address since I didn't recall receiving any paperwork. Negative. They had no email on file and nothing was sent via snail mail. Had they sent paperwork, I would have had it filled out completely, AND I would have had their new address. I understand they are not completely at fault. If I allowed 30 minutes extra time, I could have gotten to the new location and still had time for paperwork. However, I give Evergreen Sport and Spine one star due to lack of professionalism. Marketing and Communications should have updated the website long before today, changes to location should be stated at time of scheduling, standard processes should be in place for sending out paperwork, and some grace period should have been allowed since the mistakes were largely on their end. Seven minutes should not have required my appointment to be rescheduled. I do hope that others have better experiences than this. read more

I was having pain in both quads. Dr Lee did a very brief exam and said you need both hips replaced. He ordered X-rays be done which I went for immediately. I worried for 2 days as this was a major issue I didn't suspect at all would be the diagnosis. I called the radiologist over the 2 day period and finally the receptionist said the report was ready. She said it is one sentence and emailed it to me. The one sentence was "Minimal narrowing in hips - normal x-ray". On the return visit Dr Lee said "Well you may need a replacement some day". I showed the x-ray to the physical therapist who said your hips are fine you tore both quads. I went to get 2 more opinions from Sports Medicine Rehab doctors and both gave me the same diagnosis: Both quads were torn. Dr Lee seems to make diagnosis without running necessary tests then doesn't admit he was incorrect. This mistake on his part is inexcusable!! read more

If you have been in pain for a long time and are looking for relief and to find a possible remedy without surgery Dr. Messerli is not the doctor for you. The doctor did not even want to take an MRI or X-rays to determine what was really going on. He simply probed with his fingers and gave a diagnosis. He did not believe in giving real pain medication and believes in alternative medications that really does not work, and simply sent me home to deal with the discomfort and wait for the medication he prescribed to see if it worked, and come back for another appointment. This was a waist of time and money. I left this office feeling like "what am I paying for" I am the patient and the one in pain, I believe it is unethical for a doctor to deny you, what can possibly help make you feel better and at least try to get to the bottom of the problem by having x-rays or what ever to see the real problem. read more
