They unilaterally decided the cost was too much and gave us the specific medication we had said did not work at all. They didn't even bother to call and ask if we would be willing to pay for it out of pocket. We absolutely would have, it was $100 for my dad's last greatest fear of pain at the end. So they decided on their own that his comfort in passing was not worth $100. This should be criminal. And I know none of their actual caregivers would have chosen that decision in a million years. But please, for the sake of your loved ones, go with a different agency.

You didn't want to work with me trying to take care of my mother at home and didn't even try. It's partially your fault for her decline. Your RN changed dates twice... No pt even after order was signed and no ot even scheduled you guys are part of the problem with the health care system in our country! Might as well live in Russia.

I recently had a meeting with Katherine who greets everyone with a giant smile. If I meet another staff member in the building everyone says hello or asks if I need help. It's fun to go in and really fun to see what kinds of activities and events they do for their residents. They seem to do lots of things for the residents to help them stay cognitively and physically strong--not just do activities to keep them busy. Things like the Cook to Connect class and gardening are so good for them. Loved to see the Intergenerational activities since I know how much they enjoy being around children. The residents seem happy whenever I'm in the building. Definitely a place I'd want my family members to be if they needed care.

He hosted the lunch today for 23 people who also listened to a presentation by Rob Mill from CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). He told us how to take immediate steps to be prepared for any natural disaster. It was a great day and Alberto and Emerald Gardens made it perfect! Everyone I've encountered at Emerald Gardens is friendly, professional and very helpful--especially Alberto! Thank you so much for all you do for the Senior Center!

More like a thank you letter…read more Probably not the easiest review to write, but necessary to help others dealing with the same circumstances. I have a family member living here and has unfortunately has gone into Hospice care. This week has been very difficult for me and my family to say the least. I do want to say, we've all been very impressed by the professional, compassionate and sometimes thankless work they do daily. It's HARD work. The profession I'm in works hand in hand with housing such as Emerald Gardens. To me, many folks that work at some of these facilities and with Hospice are "angels walking among us" I am reminded that there are wonderful caring people in this world.. Even though our family is hurt and saddened by the loss of a family member, we all feel we were in good hands and more importantly our loved one was in good hands and acknowledged, respected and understood by the staff here, and that, brings some comfort to us. They would spend almost and hour or more with me every time I came in for care. They are very thorough and reassess each time I returned for my visits. This help me to know that they really are particular about what therapies and exercises. They wanted to make sure everything they were doing for me was helping me. I felt like everything they did helped did me to get the fastest results in the shortest time. Not only did they spent a lot of time explaining things to me and why I had to do things a specific way. The other night a new resident sat for an hour alone at a table waiting for is order to be taken even after the other guests told the servers he had not even had is order taken, He finally started walking back to his room hungry and unfed when the waitress finally followed down the hall to take his order. Meals with friends are a highlight of the day for my Mom and her friends. Both my Mom and her friends have complained to Diane the person in charge of the facility and also written complaints in the suggestion box, To no avail! My Mom purchases food to eat in her room as she sometimes just cant muster up the patience for a 2 hour lunch or dinner. The cost to live here is not cheap and meals are included in the cost, But if you can't get fed... There is no value.
