The facility was clean, organized, and the quality of care was outstanding. Unfortunately, my experience with the billing department was very different. Before scheduling my appointment, I contacted both my insurance carrier and Eagle's Landing to verify that they were in-network and accepted my insurance. I was assured that they did. Based on that information, I proceeded with the appointment. After receiving services, I was surprised to receive a bill stating that my insurance claim had been denied because the provider was allegedly out-of-network. Following the advice of the billing department, I contacted my insurance company. The insurance representative informed me that the issue appeared to be related to credentialing information that needed to be updated and that the provider's office should contact them to resolve the matter. When I called back and spoke with Laura in Billing and Finance, the conversation was disappointing. I simply relayed what my insurance company had told me. Laura placed me on a brief hold, returned almost immediately, and stated that everything had already been handled and that there was nothing more the office could do. I found her attitude dismissive and unprofessional, and she seemed unwilling to investigate the issue further. As a business owner, I suggested that it might be beneficial for the practice to ensure that their credentialing information is current with insurance carriers, as this could potentially affect other patients as well. Rather than considering the possibility, the concern was dismissed. The reason for this review is not the medical care--which was excellent--but the poor customer service I received while trying to resolve what appears to be a legitimate insurance and billing issue. I hope management takes a closer look at this process because the quality of the clinical staff deserves to be matched by the quality of the billing department.

Staff was friendly; the front desk staff didn't ignore patients, greeting everyone who entered, and weren't rude at all! They let you complete your electronic checkin at your own pace, and are very discreet when asking you for your ID and insurance information. Wait time to be see was less than 10 minutes. The staff member who took my information once I went to the back (I think her name was Melissa) didn't make me feel uncomfortable with her questions, she delivered everything in the nicest way possible; Professional without being pushy. As someone whose palms sweat (literally) every time blood has to be taken, Laura was amazing--I barely felt a thing! Dr. Price listened to my concerns, history, and complaints, and didn't have that vacant, distracted look you usually see on physicians' faces as if they're trying to hurry you up to get to another patient... He actually had very positive dialogue and even suggested alternative solutions based on our conversation. Extremely helpful, and made the exam an overall pleasant experience. Definitely glad I made the choice to come here!

Rather than thoroughly reviewing my symptoms and the hospital imaging I brought with me, I was told that nothing was wrong. Instead, I was given a speculative diagnosis without any supporting evidence, rather than receiving a careful evaluation based on my medical records and the information I provided. I left feeling unheard and frustrated. If you are dealing with a serious or complex medical issue and are looking for providers who will carefully investigate your concerns, I would not recommend this practice based on my experience.

I've been a patient for years and always felt heard and seen but not recently. I had to go to the…read moreemergency room for extreme pain and one of the follow up doctors I needed to see was my OBGYN. I was in pain, was a self-pay patient (we have insurance but they are no longer in network) and when I was told I needed a urine culture I simply asked how much was it going to be. The nurse didn't know and because the 3rd party lab was self pay, I had to sign a form stating I would pay. I asked the nurse, it makes sense to know, will this be a $40 charge or $400. They have a contract with this 3rd party lab so it made sense they could at least find out. In the middle of pain and exhaustion, I just was trying to manage how much this visit would cost me. I signed the form but put a simple statment to the effect of "Please make me aware of the charges prior to testing." All the nurse said was "that might delay your results." Again, I explained that as their lab provider, certainly someone would know the cost or heck, make a two-minute phone call. I got upset, I did. I've been going here for years and I just needed someone to help me. I started crying and no less that three people witnessed this, including the lady who scheduled my next visit. Anyway, I called the lab and it was about $7.00. I got them on the phone, got the info and called the doctor back. It turns out, they weren't even going to send off my labs because I wrote on the form and they didn't even make me aware they weren't going to send off my labs. My doctor ordered these labs and because I signed a non-legal form just asking about costs, they just refused to send it. I could have had an infection or something else, waiting for a call from the lab to proceed and I'm not even aware that it had not been sent. When I asked to speak to the practice manager she conferred with the staff and she really wanted me to know that I "had become emotional." I expect this type of simplification, equivalent to a man asking "Are you on your period" but not from my own doctor's office and another woman. I didn't yell, I was crying. I was in pain and if any one of those women could have just said "Take a seat, let me make a call" that would have meant the world to me. It would have showed me that your truly do care about your patients. All those women just let me leave the office, in tears, in pain and didn't say a word. Extremely disappointed in the lack of empathy at this office. I just can't go back to an office that has so little empathy for me as a woman and a long-time patient.

They then tried to charge me a $100 no show fee. I have NEVER seen an office charge a no show fee of $100. That's pure highway robbery and scamming. Rest assured I won't be paying it and since Biden made it to where medical bills can't ruin your credit I'm straight. The only person I saw while here was Katisha Patterson and she was nice. Didn't care for Dr. Gordon plus you couldn't see her anyway as she's always booked up. April the heavy set lady that answers the phones is very rude and always sounds so miserable and unhappy. I hated dealing with her. Everyone else is "nice rude". The worst kind of people to deal with.

Apparently there is no grace period for the "last" appointment of the day which was never commmunicated when the appoitment was made. If I wasn't making it to my appointment it would be responisble for me to call and cancel. However the same isn't required vice versa. I almost had a titty attck when they said the doctor left. How? The care seems nice but they never told me that before having my blood pressure taken that i wasn't supposed to eat within the hour. So it always read that i had high blood pressure. On my medical records the notes often said i was obese-- And i'm not... I'm just built heavier because pre pregnancy i used to go to the gym. The women that look after you here are nice but there are a few that have made me uncomfortable because of their attitudes in the past. One woman taking my blood made it extremely uncomfortable, i think she put the needle in incorrectly? And a woman taking my blood pressure didn't let my arm sit in the right position so it read wayyy higher than it was supposed to. My new ob/gyn has definitely made me realize how mediocre the care was for me here and it's a shame it took them pulling the rug from under me to find that out the hard way so close to the end of my pregnancy. Don't settle just because you want a black doctor. You see based off of the news that it doesn't matter what you do! The doctors at Emory midtown made it all over social media for Labor and Delivery icks. Most people just don't care these days. It's about the money for them.
