    Peekaboo! Weird.

The front desk girls were super nice however, I would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. I blame it on myself that I didn't know their single rooms were like attic stowaways but I feel like I have to warn potential people about the exposed wires and the insulation coming out of the walls. Maybe I am just not the climber chick vibe but 200$ a night seems a bit steep for with these discrepancies

One of the most unique hotels I've stayed at for sure! I'm not exactly their target demographic (super sporty outdoorsy types), but evo was a decent spot for me and my partner who were visiting for a music festival. - Full access to amenities onsite throughout your stay - Super courteous, helpful staff! - Gym with AMAZING rock climbing wall! And fitness classes and locker rooms and lots of workout equipment. - Have to mention the skate park inside and outside ofc - Stores onsite with ample outdoor necessities for purchase - Cozy lounge area on floor two. Just across from the upstairs bar as well - Cafe on ground floor with delicious coffee and smoothies - Cozy rooms with comfortable bed and clean bathroom, good quality toiletries NOTES - Room is VERY minimal. No fridge, no coffee machine, and only a shared microwave in the hallway. Only a bench, the nightstand, and a luggage rack - Not much space for possessions, only a hanger attached to the wall beams. No closet. There seems to be a locked storage unit outside each room for outdoor gear - Wall beams are D U S T Y. Unsure if it's just the material or housekeeping neglect, but it's not super clean. Not my favorite when these are some of the few surfaces to put your stuff! Everything else was clean though - If you're above 5'5", you'll definitely bump your head lol. The ceiling slopes down outward so you'll need to duck anytime you go around the bed - No space for makeup on the sink whatsoever. But I'm guessing their usual clientele probably don't really haul a ton of makeup lol - Terrible noise insulation. Our hallway was pretty quiet, but you can definitely hear the music blaring from the stores starting around 9 am. We were on the second floor. Maybe not a concern for those who are early risers, but definitely not great for anyone coming back late and looking to sleep in... They have a pair of earplugs on the nightstand for a reason I guess... - The shower is one of those half-wall setups... But the open side is next to the showerhead so water splashes everywhere. IDK what the intention was, maybe easier to rinse off your equipment? Kind of weird Very fairly priced-- I had a great deal through my work portal. Knowing the setup now, I still rate it high because it serves its audience well! Would like to come back during snow season instead :P

This place is so cool! Easily the most unique hotel I've ever visited. With a bouldering gym, yoga classes, coffee shop, and indoor skate park and more, this place is anything but boring. My colleagues and I spent the day here bouldering, eating, and then working in the communal work space. It felt like we were all on vacation together. The staff was both friendly and helpful, the property was very clean, and the wifi was surprisingly strong. The concept of this place seems like a pipe dream and the owners have made it a reality. I will absolutely be back and I'll be bringing friends and family.

One of the best hotels ever! Salt Lake City has a hidden gem in this hotel Firstly the facilities are great, sure the room might be smaller than some are used to, but the overall building makes it so you'll spend very little time in your room Secondly the staff!! I can't say enough nice things about the staff and how helpful and beyond accommodating they have been to me and the literal tour bus full of people I rolled in with Mack and Abby at the front desk and general help were beyond helpful Lexi at the cafe was great and kept us fed and properly caffeinated I will for sure be going back to this place anytime I'm in Salt Lake City

Evo Hotel is shaping the future of travel accommodations. The good: Creative concept, great value, and lots of amenities. Don't forget to sign up to one of the free yoga classes or lounge in many communal areas. The rooms, some lacking proper windows, have high ceilings and thoughtfully designed with everything you need without all the extra fuss. Room for improvement: The inclusive messaging throughout the property ensure all feel welcomed, however Customer Service could use some polishing. For example, upon check out and as a courtesy I advised the front desk agent that I'm checking out and at most accommodations, it's usually followed up with a "Thank you for staying with us" instead of a "you can just leave it there." Last time I checked, this was still a place of business, not a frat house? Verdict: A must consider when visiting Salt Lake City, if parking and lax customer service is not an issue.

Sketchy blood like stains on pillow cases

The concept is great. The hotel has a skatepark, a little coffee shop, yoga, rock climbing, etc. it sounds good, but it's very deceiving. We never got to do any of that stuff because we stayed 2 nights, got in late, and one day was a Sunday and they had weird hours for the skatepark stuff, then we checked out Monday morning. My room was super dirty. 2 of the pillow cases had what looked like dried up blood spots on them. There was trash and random empty drink bottles between the bed and the shelf, the Kleenex box in the bathroom was full of used Kleenex, and the walls were so dusty and dirty you could literally see other peoples greasy finger prints on them. Again, we got in late from traveling between states so we didn't want to go ask to change rooms, our kid just wanted to rest. The rooms are very minimalist, which we knew from the start, but there is no mini fridge and then we were told the ice machine didn't work, so if we wanted ice we'd have to ask the guy at the bar... which is awkward. So, we just had to drink everything hot. Everything in the hotel echoes into your room. Someone in our hall had 2 very loud children and the mother would constantly scream at them for running down the hall and it would echo into our room at 7am. We basically got no sleep at all because of the constant noises echoing into our room from staff slamming doors and rude guests. Also, the front parking spaces should be reserved for hotel guests. They're not and always full. So, you have to park in the back parking lot and a homeless person has set up camp right outside of it and hollered at us every single time we had to go out to the car. It got to the point where we watched out our balcony for someone to leave the front so we could get the spot to avoid going out back. Overall, would not recommend. We spent 450$ for 2 nights of misery.

    Broken door closer

Unfortunately my stay was not ideal and when I got my bill it was $89 more than the quoted price. It was mostly due to taxes however the hotel could calculate these taxes beforehand when giving the quote! That would be the honest way of doing business. My room was comfortable however one of the bedside tables was broken, chipped paint throughout, the door closer broke, and the shower leaked a ton onto the floor. The air conditioner made a weird noise 24/7. The bar was playing dubstep bad music super loud until 11, I could hear it even with ear plugs and the tv on. The hotel itself looks nice but there was a random guy passed out on the lobby couch the entire first day I was there and the neighborhood is somewhat sketchy and there's limited parking on the street so you have to walk through the sketchiness. When I asked to be refunded about 20% of the total amount I was originally quoted, I was just resent the same invoice again. The front desk was nice and accommodating, this review does not reflect them, however this wasn't experience I expected at the price point.

We stayed in room 1695, which is an Executive Suite with an entry foyer, living room, bedroom, large closet/storage space, expansive bath with nice tub and separate shower. The finishes and details of the entire room were exquisite and very nicely thought out. It felt luxurious! I visited the spa one afternoon for a pedicure with Madison. It was an incredible experience! After my appointment, I took a shower in the 17-head shower room and it was SUBLIME. The mandarin shampoo and conditioner in the shower felt silky and smelled amazing - my hair felt so nice that I came back the next day to purchase the shampoo to take home. My kids loved the pools - it felt fun to them that there were two. I thought the indoor pool was nicer and had a really spa-like ambiance with beautiful glass chandeliers and luxurious loungers. The outdoor pool area just didn't seem as special as I was expecting for a hotel like this, but was still great. I appreciated that they had a 1' toddler pool tucked off to the side. Very nice showers - individual shower stalls with shampoo and body wash. The pool menu for food and bar was perfect! Ordered a delish salad and a fun summer cocktail. Poolside service from Ethan was surly and inattentive, but the food was something I would order again which made up for it. A highlight that we'll always remember from our stay is breakfast at Laurel. We started 3 of our 4 mornings here and it was an absolute treat. Servers Rob and Tatiana were stars. All 4 of us agreed that the food was phenomenal and I appreciated that they offer veggie breakfast meat options. Every detail in the service was elevated and just a great experience. (We walked across the street to The Coffee Shop at Little America for breakfast the 4th morning and it was also a wonderful experience! Coffee Shop is a misnomer, as it is a comfortable sit down restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.) Jou Jou, the toy and candy shop off the lobby is CHARMING! It's a destination for anyone, not just hotel guests. We spent a lot of time (and money) poking around here. Really nice brands, unique toys, fun puzzles and games, amazing dress up things, tons of Jellycat! Everyone we encountered working there was friendly and engaging. My kids also loved watching the marble track in the window outside the store. The only aspects of our room that I didn't think were up to The Grand America snuff were the beds and bedding. I didn't find them to be super comfortable, the pillows were very thin and I thought the duvets seemed to be for a bed a size smaller. Despite this, I still give the overall stay 5 stars. Every other aspect made up for it!

We were impressed with the room size and the bathroom set up that allowed two of us to get ready at the same time without having to share a space. During our stay we visited the pools (indoor and outdoor) and were lucky enough to get a seat outdoors. We were told it can take up to 2 hours to get seats. Luck was on our side. While out there we ordered virgin daiquiris and some fries (our usual snack of choice on vacay). The indoor pool was virtually empty and very relaxing as the outdoor pool had every seat taken on a hot summer day. After the pool we grabbed some ice cream at the hotel shop and later that evening returned for dessert at the restaurant. All of the desserts we had that day were just so tasty and would recommend the bread pudding and creme brulee.

For the last day, I went to the Park City room on the second floor for a meeting. We had breakfast and to go lunch catered. Everything was very good.

Coffee machines are available. I made hot tea. NICE ROOMS. (#609 was just fine) PLENTY OF TOWELS. Water gets hot fast, just like I like it. Dove products which is always a plus. Indoor pool and jet spa tub. Which has me feeling like I should've brought a bikini, even though my thoughts were filled with visiting the snowy mountains. WTF? I never paid for parking at a Holiday Inn "EXPRESS"! I've paid for parking where it's a high end $500 a night place in SF before, but never for and EXPRESS. Forget ever staying at this location, is this how all of Salt lake City hotels are? Lucky I did a bunch of research and found another location that seem more like a "normal" Holiday Inn Express!
