She couldn't explain and kept repeating herself, eventually using a translator app to say payment was required before the service. I paid, but by then, I was already regretting my decision to come. There was no sign anywhere indicating payment is due before service. The massage therapist who worked on me was polite and the massage itself was okay, but the overall experience was far from satisfactory. I wouldn't recommend this place to others. The spa is in a sketchy area. I was verbally harassed by a homeless person outside, which added to the discomfort. And side note, pretty sure a man was rushing out from a "happy ending" from Ivy if I read the room right. I overheard him asking for a 30 minute service.
