This is our fifth year at Mosaic Gymnastics, and we absolutely love it here. From the facility to…read morethe coaches and the team culture, everything has exceeded our expectations. The gym is always kept clean and well-maintained. At first glance, the carpet might not look particularly special, but it's actually one of the best I've ever seen. After experiencing so many gymnastics carpets at competitions across the country, I can confidently say the one here is superb. It's soft, springy, and helps protect knees and joints, which is so important for young athletes. Coaches keep the carpet fresh and odor-free--something you won't find in most gyms Coach Tatiana is an exceptional coach who truly understands what it means to develop athletes. She is tough in all the right ways, teaching kids the value of hard work, focus, and self-discipline. My daughter has learned not only skills in the gym but also life lessons about handling both failure and success--because success can sometimes be harder for kids to navigate than failure. Along the way, we've made mistakes, learned from them, and grown stronger together. That resilience is exactly what Mosaic instills. Coach Hyejin is another incredible asset to the club. She may be young, but she is highly experienced and has a gift for motivating kids. She is also a true master of choreography. She has a magic touch in creating routines that perfectly match each athlete's music, personality, and capabilities, making every performance shine. Another thing that makes Mosaic special is the strong community among the girls. They train hard together, cheer each other on at competitions, and form genuine friendships outside of school. The older girls are fantastic role models for the younger ones, and I feel grateful that my daughter is surrounded by such a positive and supportive group of peers. On top of all this, Coach Tatiana works hard to keep the cost affordable for families, which is rare in such a competitive sport. If you're looking for a gymnastics program where your child will grow not just as an athlete but also as a confident, disciplined, and resilient individual--with amazing coaches and teammates--Mosaic Gymnastics is the place to be.

Coaches Tatiana and Hyejin have inspired the gymnasts to give their best and to take pride in themselves and in the gym. Additionally, they teach the girls to appreciate all that parents do to help them excel. It's a place where the girls can grow in many ways--not just as athletes.

The Tiny Dancers Team has been wonderful, professional, and accommodating - a true bright light in a hard year. Our…read moredaughter - who is a love and so, so very shy - has really come out of her shell over the last few weeks of Tiny Dancers virtual ballet classes and camps. Having these classes and camps to look forward to has been a joy for her and for us, and the studio has added a lot of fun to an otherwise housebound summer. I should add that for us, the excitement that the Tiny Dancers instructors create is about so much more than dance (though we LOVE dance). My daughter will be taking kindergarten virtually this fall - a decision that tears us apart, but that is necessary for our family. Through Tiny Dancers, our daughter has become much more comfortable with online learning - and for us, that makes all the difference. Before we started our Tiny Dancers classes, we were apprehensive about "online kindergarten" - now we feel much more certain that no matter how it goes, she'll be much more comfortable with the format than she would have been otherwise.

It was close to $100 for a unicorn mug for my kid, the smallest bunny I could find to paint, and two servings of custard. If you have multiple kids, just get the custard. They also complimented my painting in front of my kid which made her feel like her work wasn't as great. I will likely return bc my kid did enjoy it. But, please add more affordable options.

NOTE: REVIEW IS FOR THEIR FROZEN CUSTARD ONLY!!!…read more We were a bit surprised to see a homemade frozen custard shop INSIDE a paint-your-own-pottery place lol. So we approached the front entrance with trepidation, not knowing what to expect when we stepped inside. But sure enough, just inside the front entrance was the custard counter. We arrived on a late Friday afternoon, walking over from The Sandwich Shop a few blocks down Church (same side of the street and walking right past Rita's (!!)) after having a late sammie lunch (also our first time at The Sandwich Shop - read my review). We had spotted Kiln & Custard as we drove past it to get to the sandwich place and made a mental note to save room to try their custard as a cap-off to lunch. What a great location! Walkable anywhere from old town Vienna and the downtown area (nothing is really that far), tucked away one block off busy Maple Ave, surprisingly lots of great FREE street parking (on Church) but also right there in their small shopping center parking lot so it's truly not a pain-in-the-butt to head over and not have to stress about where to park. The guy serving the custard was also tending to customers doing pottery painting (not many when we arrived) - dunno how service is if you just come in for the custard and the place is packed (we saw that pottery customers had to ask the guy each time they wanted more paint which he portioned out for them...vs customers self-serving their own paint and colors in other paint-your-own places we've been to - with a single worker, I can imagine that could be a bottleneck problem if the pottery side is busy AND there's a line of custard customers waiting to be served). The frozen custard is DEEEEELICIOUS. You can definitely see as it's being scooped AND TASTE that it's housemade. SOOOOO GOOOD. Very creamy, soft, pliable, rich custard flavor and not too sweet. They offer 12 flavors - see my pics of the 2 display cases of custards. PRICES IMO ARE VERY REASONABLE. $2.85 for a kid's size, GENEROUS HEAVY HANDED PORTIONS (and who doesn't love THAT in this economy?!). I had the Vanilla Oreo and my friend had the Nutella - a perfect after-lunch dessert treat. TREMENDOUS! For the price, generous portion sizes, quality of the custard combined with its easily accessible location in Vienna and no hassle parking options, this could for sure be a destination frozen-treat shop when I'm in the Vienna area (which is fairly regularly). That good! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little hole-in-the-wall mom-and-pop shop!!!

The idea of ear plugs for his sensitive ears. Picking out songs he likes so he can learn them with other kids. His teacher is great! And he is really enjoying it! We are very happy with the whole experience. The office manager is professional, smart and well organized. The teachers are talented and good to the kids. We will be here for a while! Took forever. Got to the trial lesson only to be told the person we'd worked so hard to get wasn't available so it's with so-and-so. Uh. Fine, but we picked the other person for a reason. And booked another trial with the original teacher, only to get to THAT lesson and realize it's still not the instructor we'd been aiming for. While sitting during the lesson, another student walked in and was told "oh so-and-so is no longer with us so this other person will be your teacher today." What? So you're not told ahead of time? (The mom asked when they'd known this teacher was leaving and it was two weeks prior, but they didn't bother to give anyone notice.) I find it strange that you pay in advance for these situations. Anyway. It's too poorly managed for me, which is too bad because it is certainly a great concept.

I love the coaches in the Mosaic location (I haven't been to other locations). I am a total beginner to pilates-like classes and the reformer machine. I took ~3 foundation classes to get started and I felt like the instructors were all so great at helping me improve my form to get the best workout possible. I feel pushed but not shamed into challenging myself. They sell towels and water if you happen to forget to bring either. I feel like a sweat a mild-moderate amount and I don't think a towel is absolutely necessary. Water is probably a good idea - but the class is pretty fast-paced so not a ton of time for water breaks anyway. Now that I'm hooked, I typically do ~2 classes/week. I like the early AM classes (but they fill up fast!). I feel like this gym is clean and compact. I get exactly what I need out of it. There aren't showers so plan accordingly if you have plans afterwards (it's a good sweat!) I like their Public Goods toiletries and have even bought some myself after using them at this gym. Awesome location, awesome coaches, and awesome workout :)!
