Best experience I had with a plumber. The toilet overflowed upon flushing, the plumber I usually use is temporarily closed so I called Evolution Plumbing. They showed up within half an hour from the call. The owner's son quoted me $250 right from the get go. A clean out was performed and it didn't work. The repair person ( I neglected to get their names) then took out the toilet, found pieces of drywall lodged in the toilet, no idea how it happened, removed the obstruction and put the toilet back in place. I wasn't charged for the additional work or parts. Nancy's Plumbing is who I usually use, it's a blessing in disguise that they weren't available. Evolution Plumbing is a hundred bucks less than Nancy's for a clean out. Evolution is my new go to. read more

I had contacted two other companies, Evolution Plumbing called me back in a timely manner and Arturo with another person showed up on time. Arturo assessed the problem and explained to me the best solution. I have in the past had other companies not want to tackle the old plumbing lines. Arturo and his assistant tackled it and fixed the drain clog. I will eventually need new pipes installed and Evolution Plumbing will be the company I call. My 25-year-old gas hot water heater was acting up and needed to be replaced. After getting bids from three plumbing companies, I selected Evolution Plumbing because Hector is a licensed plumber and his bid was very competitive. Evolution removed my old heater and installed a new Bradford White gas heater, which is much quieter and more efficient. To bring my plumbing up to code, they installed a water shutoff valve for the washer supply lines and ran a drain pipe to the outside. I also had them install a new work sink . All of the work was done very professionally. Hector and his crew were very organized and conscientious. They showed up on time and were careful when bringing in the new heater and removing the old one. They also did a good job of cleaning up each day. Hector responded thoughtfully to any questions and has great customer service. We have been using the new water heater and sink now for six months and haven't had any problems. Based on my experience, I definitely recommend Hector and Evolution Plumbing. They provide high quality work and excellent value! read more

Evolution saved me again not once but twice! Last year the main water line broke and a tremendous amount of water was gushing water. Fortunately my neighbor helped me turn it off. Evolution was the only company that could come out that day and fix it. They restored the water to my house that same day. Other companies could not come out for another 2 days! This time our outdoor gas fireplace and Bbq wasn't working. It wasn't a simple water in our gas pipes situation but our whole gas pipeline was leaking. The company who installed it, use substandard connections that corroded after 4 years. Hector came and thoroughly explained the situation to me and gave me a reasonable quote. I had a seriously clogged toilet, I called Hector in the morning, he was already on a job in San Ramon, I figured he wouldn't be able to make it the same day so I was preparing for another day without my toilet)-: . Not only did he say he could make but called and said he could come earlier than the promised time. The clog was pretty bad, but he did it and gave me a discount on top of that! That's not the end, I'm looking to remodel my bathroom, I referred me to a contractor that's local and his prices are less than half of what I've been quoted, if my toilet wouldn't have been clogged a contractor was scheduled to start the remodel today! My Parents were out of the country when their house flooded from a broken pipe in one of their bathrooms. Finding out their entire first floor was under 2" of water was devastating, to say the least. To say I was, "stressed out" was an understatement! When I finally came to the realization that I had to get the ball rolling on fixing the pipe, I immediately looked up plumbers in the Oakley area. Evolution Plumbing was one of the top rated places and had great reviews. For comparison sake, I took down several plumbers to get estimates and left messages for all, but Hector was the only one that called me back right away. As soon as I explained the problem we were having, he promised that he would be on his way to check it out... and to our surprise, he was there the very same day! Hector was able to stop the pipe from leaking so that we could continue using the water without it being completely shut off. He also took the time to assess the damage and gave us a quote which was within our budget. He was very knowledgeable about the damage and explained, in detail, what needed to be done. After much consideration, we decided to go with an entire re-pipe of the house, versus an isolated fix. We knew that if the pipes were bad in one part of the house, we'd have to deal with a broken pipe in another part of the house down the road... which was not worth the stress. It was without a doubt that we decided to go with Evolution Plumbing. Hector and his very friendly team started the re-piping right away. They were on time and on point. They started on a Monday and finished on Thursday. Not only did the team do the re-pipe in 4 days, they also fixed some existing plumbing issues we had been meaning to get fixed... all within our budget. I hardly ever write reviews, but I was very disappointed with this plumbing service. I normally use a different plumbing company. However this being the holiday season they could not fit me in. I decided to give Evolution Plumbing a try based on the yelp reviews. I was scheduled for a Saturday service appointment for my rental unit. My tenant waited the whole day and the plumber never showed up. +1 star for trying to fit me in last minute but -4 stars for never showing up or giving me a call on the day of service. read more

On Friday night we noticed that when we ran water in our kitchen sink it was backing up into the bathtub. We tried to unclog the pipes ourselves on Friday night and Saturday morning and finally decided we needed to call a plumber. We called and left a message around noon on a Saturday and Hector called back in 15 minutes, said he would be at our house in an hour. He showed up on time with another guy to help him. Our house was built in the 50's and we don't have a clean out access to the sewer, which made the job difficult but he quickly came up with a solution to find the location of the clog and remove it. Hector and his team were perfect. They were thoughtful, accommodating, and professional! When Hector arrived for the estimate to run a gas line to my kitchen, he was very thorough in explaining how the job would be done and what I should expect. Not long after, he sent me a bid for the job and it was very competitive. I had to reschedule the job 3 times and every time Hector was accommodating. When the day actually arrived Hector and his team arrived on time and were super tidy, wiped down every surface, swept every floor and put every tiny detail back in place. After the job was finished, Hector showed me how to operate my new gas cooktop and demonstrated how to shut off the gas in the event of a leak and hauled away my old cooktop! A+ service! As I opened my in-home daycare this morning (in this record-freezing cold), I see the back-up/ clean-out lid is off and there are shards of TP all around in my front yard planter bed. I had Hector do some plumbing work at our place. He is very professional, very knowledgeable and did a great job. When I first called him he came by to see what needs to be done and then he gave me an estimate for the work. That was nice. The day of the job he came with his crew. They were also professional. They even laid out a tarp in our hallway so not soil the carpet. Any questions we had he would answer and if there were any problems he would let us know. When he replaced our bath faucet, he showed us how the stem was not regulation size, but with his knowledge he was able to attach the replacement faucet and make it look good. We had several projects requested and they completed all of them. We even had some additional requests and he only charged a small addition. I would highly recommend his service. read more

I went into my front yard and saw puddles of water and toilet paper. Yes, toilet paper. WTF? I didn't even know that could happen! Of course it was a Saturday so I was worried about getting someone out, especially because every time we used the water or flushed a toilet, more water would drain into the front yard. We had gone through several listings on Yelp. We left messages and no one called back. One place was like "oh, you live there, we don't go there (even though their listing said they serviced our area and we were only 6 miles from their office)" like we lived in some bad area.
