I had scheduled Hugo to install a new electric water heater to replace the gas one, unbelievably before the scheduled date the existing gas water heater sprung a leak and kept shutting down the pilot light so I had no hot water. Hugo came out after I called him, however he was not able to fix the old water heater, but he installed the new electric one the same day. Four years ago, Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter Inc. replaced a section of my home's sewer pipe and provided a 10-year warranty for the work. Approximately two years after the replacement, the sewer line became blocked again. I contacted the company for warranty service, but they claimed the issue was in a different section of the pipe -- not the portion they had replaced -- and therefore refused to take responsibility. This explanation did not make sense to me, since if the entire line was at risk of failure, they should have informed me at the time and addressed the full problem rather than performing only a partial and temporary fix. I then hired another licensed plumbing company to inspect the issue. Their findings were as follows: "The connection between the new ABS pipe installed by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter and the existing clay pipe failed. The band (a type of coupling) used to connect the two materials deteriorated, allowing roots to grow in and causing a portion of the old pipe to collapse. We will need to cut out about three feet of the damaged area, reconnect the pipes properly, and use appropriate fittings." This indicates that the connection made by Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter failed and directly contributed to additional damage in the sewer line. The issue appears to stem from improper installation or use of inadequate materials during their original repair. As a result, I now have to pay another plumbing company to repair both ends of the section that Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter had replaced -- even though their work was supposed to be covered by a 10-year warranty. read more

I woke up one morning and found my water heater leaking. I spent almost the whole morning searching for a plumber to give me a diagnosis on what the problem was and also one who would be able to help provide same day service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Luckily, I was able to contact Pure Water Plumbing & Rooter Inc. and dispatched a plumber within 30 minutes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hugo Ramirez, the business owner showed up and gave me the diagnosis and estimated cost to replace the water heater with a Rheem 40 gallon & nbsp, replace both hot and cold waterlines, install a drip leg on the gas line, install a drip pan that would drain the water leak out to the exterior of the house instead of the garage floor, modify the TMP line and haul away the old unit with one year warranty on labor. Hugo Ramirez was the same plumber who installed my old water heater about 9 years ago. He also did all the plumbing work when my family had our bathroom and kitchen renovated that's why there's no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't do a good job. Hugo was prompt, competent, knowledgeable, professional, skillful, respectful, honest, good communication and expertise. He and his assistant did an excellent job and cleaned the water that leaked on the garage floor. He used topnotch water heater, plumbing parts and materials. When I called the lady who answered the call said a plumber could come out the same day. She said he had a few other calls but she would schedule me in for 2-4pm. She said if his other calls finished earlier he would call. Carlos called about noon and was here in 15 minutes. He was able to repair my leak within 30 minutes or so. He was courteous and efficient. Hugo pulled the new gas line in the middle of the attic, which is totally unprofessional(I did not follow him when he came to do the job, thinking he should be professional enough to do the right thing, but.... ) . The line should be along the side. When asked him to redo it on the side, he first told me he needed material cost(there is really not extra material needed) to do it. But when asked him to really do it. He wanted to change me $390, which I refused and he left saying he doesn't care when kind of rating I will give him on Yelp. read more
