Finally, on the third day, someone came to evaluate me for therapy. The one therapy session was good. The next session occurred while I was sound asleep in my room. The (male) therapist woke me up out of a deep sleep after lunch to take me to therapy. Told him I was a morning person and could we schedule the sessions in the the mornings. He replied, "No," I can't know when they'll occur." I had a major problem with my room. The roommate had chronic diarrhea and had to occupy the bathroom almost continually. One time I had to get off the toilet to let her use it. Finally, after two nights, I asked for a private room. I had to pay $35 per night for this. Food was O.K. After two sessions in the dining room, they closed the dining room. No explanation was given. We went back to eating in the rooms. I wouldn't recommend this place for rehab. Too haphazard.

When clients have come to the owners about these issues NOTHING is done. This puts clients mental health at risk but they don't seem to care. If they don't have anyone to cover these positions they just let the problem ones keep their job with no repercussions. The tech Jerome and Mary who does sound bath are the only trustable and reliable employees there. Corey is the owner and is afraid of confrontation so he would rather not confront the issues instead of improve his business. I have personally seen items get stolen from my friend and the person who did it got a job as a House Manager. The girls cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and clean three times a day with daily group therapy sessions except for weekends. The environment depends on the group of girls they have but my months spent here, there wasn't one physical fight. I learned a lot about myself, relationships, and living a successful life. Only downside of Katie Miller that affected me was the staff not taking me to the doctor when I had pneumonia for 3 months and also lacking real life experience, as treatment plans can sometimes be prolonged. In my case this would only apply to the Nurse Practitioner, Misty Cottrell, not me. I had a multi year patient relationship where i would drive 35 miles each way up from Knoxville, keeping each appointment and dutifully adhering to every directive. THEN- one day when i recently suffered a heart attack, she was completely unimpressed. I was in the hospital for 10 days after receiving quadruple bypass open heart surgery. She could not see fit to express the minimal concern by even returning a phone call. When my care was turned over to her from the surgeon, she refused to fill prescriptions for the most nominal of painkillers and became surprisingly openly hostile, making me feel like some junkie in withdrawal just for asking for minimal relief. Watch out. You may feel you have a great relationship at first but that may all change once anything gets serious. She will be completely unreliable, assume zero responsibility for your care and have no compunction to become 'non-compliant' to her most loyal of patients and throw you out like garbage. Beware, also of an extremely incompetent office staff who she will be completely loyal to, not you.
