I've been to different massage places but this was the most unusual experience. Most of the time the massage was dry rubbing or constant rubbing me. It was also pulsating massage instead of a nice subtle pressure. I've done deep tissue and swedish at multiple places so I thought this was odd. Additionally, when they massaged my neck, I felt like they were pressing down on my carotid artery. Overall, I felt like the person doing my massage wasn't trained well or it was overall very odd. I disliked the constant repetitive rubbing over my shoulders. There was no compression and it just felt like they were just rubbing to make me feel like this was deep. There was no variation in technique at all. I was really disappointed by my experience.

After weeks of agonizing pain, I decided to seek help. I went to two other massage therapists, both of which did me no good. Then I found Jocelyn. Her profile listed her as a former computer science student, which made me think she probably understood a thing or two about my situation, since I am a computer programmer. And she certainly did. She provided a very targeted session and worked the muscles most in pain, as well as muscle groups I didn't realize were related. Not only that, Jocelyn also provided a lot of great advice, such as types of stretches and exercise I could do at my desk. She even had diet suggestions. I followed all of her advice and after several sessions, found my pain significantly minimized. Then I went on vacation and the added time away from the computer completely removed the pain. Jocelyn is so good at her work that she effectively worked herself out of a client, as I no longer need massage therapy. But I've been recommending her to everyone I know. I even tried to get her into a previous company at which I worked, since she does on-site massages for some Bay Area tech companies too. However, the atmosphere in the room is typical with soft spa music, dim candle light, comfortable tables and a cozy room that may put you to sleep like me. Upon arrival, Sunny checked me in with smiles and was also my masseuse for my Swedish massage. She hit all the right points and made sure I was comfortable by asking if the pressure was too much or the bed temperature was good for me. I really enjoyed the minimal use of the light unscented massage oil she used. Before I flipped over, hot towels, more massaging and hot rocks were placed on my back. This was different for me, but I thought it was perfect. It warmed up all the areas she massaged and and removed most of the massage oil leaving my back soft and moisturized without an oily feeling. There was also some stretching done with my arms, legs and neck area. One finished, I felt relaxed, loose and ready for another gym session of lifting! The prices are extremely reasonable as the focus here is on the massage not all the fancy, aromatic things and decor. Booking online is very easy also. This is a great massage joint and definitely the best bang for your buck around here!
