I found out that they didn't replace my bumper. They communicated with the insurance company of the person who hit me. All they did was change the light and painted over the bumper after my accident. They charged $840 dollars. I was thinking of buying a new car and because of this dishonesty. I will no longer go there. Also one of the workers said it would likely only be $400 to do that since it wasn't so bad. I thought I got a new bumper for that price and I didn't. I feel cheated and lied to. I guess it's my fault for not knowing cars. They got me. Don't let them get you. They then told me my water pump needed to be replaced. A charge of 650 dollars. Turns out they lied about that too. We took it to a local mechanic. The water pump is fine and it's something else. Update: I can say that it was at the kind suggestion of one of the employees that I get a second opinion to begin with about the water pump. So I can thank him for that an not just allowing me to sign over another payment for a random fix. read more

Hubby found a couple of identical trucks, one had leather seats and the other didn't, and the difference between them was only $100. So, it was a no brainer, we test drove the leather seats one, and we were ready to make a deal with them. After over 3 hours at the dealership, they showed us their offer, and it was absolutely ridiculous!!!!! They tried to charge us an extra $2,000 then the listed price for the "custom leather seats", (nice "Bait and Switch" technique there old man...I am pretty sure that is ILLEGAL!!!), and on top of that, they low ball us our trade in by $8,000. Nice try though!!! I think they thought we were idiots!! Who does that??? We also had a manufacturer discount from a friend that works at Ford manufacturer, and they didn't even applied our discount code that I got from him, and they claimed that they did! At the end, instead of making a deal, we ended up walking away furious!!! Thanks for wasting our time!! Good luck selling those trucks that have been sitting in your parking lot for over 2 years now, with over 300 miles of test drives, with your great "sales techniques". Awful, just awful. My wife and I came in the other day and the place was very clean and everyone was wearing masks and so we were also, made us feel safe! We were greeted and went along with our appointment and ended up getting a new car when we left, process did not take that long maybe a few hours but that's expected and we really enjoy our new car. We bought a 2017 Ford Escape and it had low miles on it which we liked. Al our sales person was awesome kept us in the loop with everything that was going on. We also got a good deal on trade in compared to other Ford Dealerships. We will b coming back here again. read more

I don't even know where to start. I called and spoke with someone here to specifically inquire about leasing a vehicle. She told me verbally that it can be leased. We also talked via email and I brought up the lease. There was no indication from this person that the vehicle could not be leased. So, I drive all the way from Madison and find out that the vehicle was not leasable. I should have known from the moment I got out of my car in the parking lot. The person I was emailing told me multiple times that the car would be out front for me, which was a lie (turns out it was still in the show room) A young person, who looked to be a detailer or something, came up and asked me why I was there (while I was walking in). I told him I wanted to lease this specific car and he said it was not possible. It got worse from there... I went inside and the receptionist was very rude, along with everyone else I talked to inside. I was immediately told the car could not be leased, contrary to what I was told on the phone and lead to believe. I was never offered a seat or drink or anything anything. When I explained I drove all the way from Madison, I was not even offered an apology or anything. The receptionist called the person I was talking to online and handed me the phone. That lady ended up coming down to talk with me for about 30 seconds and only to hand me back to the detailer looking person from the start. He was rude and questioned why I wanted a lease. He even had the audacity to ask me if I could even afford the vehicle. He said a lease might be available through a 3rd party but said I would have to do this all on my own, offered no help at all. This person may have been a sales person but he certainly didn't fit the part. He was rude, unprofessional and poorly dressed. There is no way this person was a salesman, he was moving cars around in the parking lot when I pulled in. I told the kid I was not buying from them and left. To put the icing on the cake, I received an email about two hours later thanking me for coming in. I never even had a chance to sit down and talk about the car or financing options. I am completely mind blown by this entire experience and I would give zero stars if that was possible. There was no effort whatsoever to make a sale or assist me at all. I went to another dealer after this and received exceptional service, they are even going out of there way to help with leasing information and all that. I had her get a second opinion at my favorite neighborhood mechanic who I've been going to for 20 years. He said everything looked fine! She bought her car used at this dealership and the car has been nothing but trouble since she got it. It took them 18 months to "get the correct parts" to fix a recall. read more

Part 1 Like any business not every encounter with customers will be perfect and that can be excepted however should always strive for the best experience. Dealing with a local Ford Dealer Ewald Venus Ford we have had some of the worst experience that could be imagined. This includes multiple points and different vehicles some purchased new directly from this dealer. Will cover the most recent from the last 20 years and recap of several other issues in the past. My background in Auto industry is very extensive including working as and for many Q1 vendors at many Ford plants including on the Aluminum (F150) project since 1999 when the R&D started with the first trials. The current vehicle problems and service issues; 2016 Ford Escape Platinum (replacing wife's car 2008 Milan) (purchased new at Ewald Ford) Warranty issues: A: Front right ball joint separation at 1,000miles in highway traffic (defective ball joint) B: Both rear brake routers destroyed at 8,000 (defective "hard spots" brake pads) C : Camber issues ( continuous) D: Sync 3 with NAV issues (screen problems replaced once still issues) C: Severe body panel alignment issues (mentioned to dealer but never resolved) D: Other Although the Ford dealer in question has had some un-eventful experiences or just not checked up on their work! In early 2019 had the dealer do another 4wheel alignment. When the car was returned could still clearly see sever rear wheel negative camber. Asked the dealer for a printout or details of what they did, no details or printouts could be provided. Checking the adjustments on the car see no evidence of any adjustments made even on toe that is also known to be wrong. Rechecking the rear camber showed almost 3o negative on the right rear. Returned to dealer and asked about the camber issues. The response is they do nothing with camber because it is not adjustable. Checking Ford factory service manual has a notation that if camber is out of spec, replace upper control arm with part XXX. ( After checking I find this is a fixed replacement part that adds 1o positive camber) Time restraints avoided returning till August at this time all 4 tires are destroyed (one already replaced and destroyed again) sever wear on inside edge to cords other parts of tire at over 50% tread. All tires damaged/replaced at 30k miles or less (19" 45 series). Returned in August and talking with Service manager Tom (this guy is a flake and all out liar!) and expressing my concerns and the failed work from the first previous alignment ( nothing done or adjusted). Under his words he told me he will personally walk it back to the alignment rack and soon as the first set of numbers were available, he would call me on what to do next. (already ordered the correction part and at the dealer) Because the replacement upper control arm is only a 1o correction not sure if would except this as the max limit of Ford spec is much to broad and the part would be not used unless it would bring the camber to a much closer "ideal" setting. The alternative is just about every manufacture of suspension part's makes adjustable correction parts as this is a very well know issue. No phone calls all day, in the evening called to tell me it was complete. This was shocking as he was to call me before any work was down to decide of what corrective actions would be taken. Arriving at the dealer he tells me it was such a big job and had to change the right side to allow the maximum allowable tolerance. I approved none of this and was shocked to find he wanted to charge; Alignment cost 2 hours extra labor Shop supplies ( none needed except maybe hand cleaner?) Changed the price on the parts I had ordered incase they could be of use Total $490 + the $140 from the first alignment they never did Also informs me the right front cannot be adjusted in the widest of specs ( wants 1,600 more to replace all kinds of ridicules parts that have nothing to do with it)( also the same front that had all the ball joint issues?) Returning home, I see they severely damaged all 5 lug nuts on the right rear they worked on also paint nicks in the right front fender. ( $8 each) Analyzing the print-out I see the alignment is no ware in reasonable ideal settings. Checked adjustments points and do see they have tool marks meaning they actually did adjust toe and perhaps caster this time. Immediately ordered the correct replacement parts to make the rear camber adjustable (Moog parts). The parts arrived in 2 days and changed the 3rd day. The dealer was complaining how hard it was (2 bolts) and it took several hours to replace the upper control arm. From the time I pulled out the jack to lower the Jack was less then 25minutes! This also included dealing with the damaged lug-nuts a proper socket will no longer work on, and calibrating the new control arm (another 0.75o). Also found the inside bolt was never tightened once removed see they used the wrong tool to remove it and also damaged. read more

I have now been without my 2011 Ford Fiesta for a week now. 4 months my car was acting up and when I took it in for an oil change they stated my clutch needed to be repaired but the part will be on back order up to 6months. My car only had 26k miles on it. Well I contact Ford Motor Company a few weeks ago and had to find out from them that the part had come in 10 prior at the dealership but no one bothered to call me. So last week i dropped my car off and expected a day or maybe two for the repair. They did provide a rental. Well they called Friday to advise it may not be done until Sat. Sat they told me Monday. Monday they told me that the reason it was taking so long is that all of a sudden my water pump had started to leak and they didn't have the part and they would have to order it. Well here comes Tuesday and of course I had to call at the end of the day to see if it was ready. NOPE!!. The person that was suppose to call me the first time about the part decided to leave for the day and not advise me. The service manager had the balls to say he didn't know anything about it and that his worker wanted to go home and that he was a slow worker but meticulous. REALLLLY! I would really like my car back. Bottom line. Once you drive off with a brand new car they forget who you are. Spending 20k with them does not matter. Horrible service and I will never buy a car from them again. read more

They sold me a lemon. Bought a truck brand new from and the engine blew up at 80k miles. Because the vehicle was under the 100k powertrain but days over the 5 year warranty both Ewald Venus Ford and Ford Motor Company were unwilling to do anything about it aside for offering to install a new motor for $18,000 and would offer us a ONE year warranty on the new motor despite the last one lasting only FIVE years. read more

I have been a customer for 5 years and bought 2 cars from them. 2 months ago, I went in for a tire patch repair and oil change. I've always had great service, but was accidentally charged for the oil change, which is included in my service plan. I've been calling and emailing multiple people for the past 2 months in an effort to get my $50 refunded for the oil change. Ive been told that "my check will be in the mail by the end of the week"....3 week's ago. Everyone seems to pass the buck instead of owning up to an honest mistake (one that I'm not even that angry about, but I just want my $50 refund). 1st time there and will be the last time. Appointment was for Oct 8, 2021 at 1220 PM. Arrived at 1215 PM and explained in detail my truck is getting the "THE WORKS" (Oil Change & Tire Rotation) and included a car wash to Service Advisor Alex Garcilazo. Noticed my truck pulled into the bay area at 1:08 PM. I went back to the service area and said is my truck done at 1:45 PM. I was told "yes" and yet no one came to inform me it was. I could been waiting longer if I did not approach first. After I paid my bill I went to my truck and noticed no car wash. Went back into the service area again and explained why my truck did not receive a car wash. No answer was given, but my truck did get one after I had to complain. I always went to Porcaro Ford located in Racine, WI and my truck was always done under 1 HR with no miscommunication at all. I was told by Service Advisor Alex Garcilazo that there is a lack of communication at Ewald's Ford. I am confident I am not the only person who has been having issues like this. We shopped another Ford deaier in the area for the same vehicle as well and the price offered out of the gate was much better at Ewald. When we went to the showroom to test drive the vehicle, we made the decision to move forward and they delivered the vehicle within a couple hours. I bought a 2017 ram rebel from these guys and they seemed really friendly at the time. I took the truck for a test drive and everything seemed ok. It wasn't the exact truck I was looking for but it had most of the accessories/addons that I wanted. When I was signing the paper work for the truck I had mentioned that the rims were all black but the factory rims were aluminium with black trim. They told me that these were the factor black rims so i said awesome that's a bonus. I also mentioned that I forgot too look if there was a rear defrost and he said yea absolutely that truck has it. Well it took me a couple of weeks but realized that it actually doesn't have rear defrost. And now with the rims about 2 weeks after buying the truck I took it through the car wash and noticed some of the paint came off 3 of my rims so I brought it back to venus ford and they said it was a factory issue and that I should take it to ewald on hwy 100. So I bring it up there and they said my rims aren't covered because the previous owner painted them and they could actually use a pressure washer to take the paint off. They said it would be $5000 to get the right rims. So I go back to venus and they said well theres nothing we can do for you because you bought the truck used. Well maybe if you would have told me the rims were painted with some cheap paint I probably wouldn't have bought it. So too sum it all up they act like your best friend too get the sale but once you buy it they aren't going to work with you anymore. Buy at your own risk because now I'm sticking money into a new truck that I was basically tricked and lied too into buying. read more

On the other hand, I just brought in said vehicle for service on a recall we were told by a service representative, we made the appointment on Monday for Wednesday 7 am. When we arrived they told us sorry were booked I don't know who told you to bring it in. Maybe we can have it done by tomorrow. My wife took off work to get this done. I went to the dealer and they gave me the run around, one of the representatives was even laughing at us. I took back my car, and will bring it to Griffin Hub. I took in my car for an oil change and I was pretty sure that I need all new brakes, because they sounded really bad. I told the service tech Mickey and he was really helpful. They got my oil changed quickly and I didn't have an appointment and then Mickey explained to me that my rotors were still in good shape and I just need brake pads. He was able to get me the price of new brakes and I was able to get in right away. I had been there in the past and got okay service, but I felt Mickey really took the time to explain everything and was knowledgeable. I would recommend going there and asking for Mickey. read more

Worst customer service ever! Never consider this place to service your carI would give a 0 stars but no choice! Worst experiences I ever had! Not one time but 3 times. Service is horrible! They always complain about being overbooked by the schedule guy but they aren't aware that people don't care if the schedule guy is part of Ewald or no. Every time I have scheduled to service my car always had to cancel. They say they have a shuttle service but when you go there they ask you to live the car overnight because " we have no idea when the shuttle can be here, or we are oberbooked" or "rent a car is $35!!! Really? Then I try to schedule another day but that other day the shuttle works until 1 pm so no solution from their part. You leave work school to go that day and they don't care! Don't keep unhappy people on your company complaining all the time. I tried to communicate with any manager no response. Emailed, called, left voice mails nothing back. Tried the online chat to communicate with any manager or service manager to let them know how unrespectful your people are, but apparently nobody cares overthere. read more

One of the worst car experiences. Waited an excessive amount of time to test drive a car (that I had scheduled an appointment to drive). Didn't have the car ready when I came to sign the paperwork. The car was not cleaned at all, had to go have the interior detailed. They lost the second set of keys to the car, and now I have to pay to have them replaced. His friendly and calming personality made the process so much easier. He has been there every step of the way. We are excited about our New Ford Focus. Went there looking to buy a new car that we saw listed on the internet. When we got their the sales lady told us that was the wrong price listed on the internet. That the price should have been higher. Did not apologize for the error. Told us she could not come down on the price. We told her constantly what we wanted as a monthly payment and she never even came close to offering us that. She started showing us other vehicles similar to the new one we saw on the internet but these were used like a year or two old. And she still did not come close to the monthly payment we wanted. She was way to pushy no boundaries whatsoever. There was one we were thinking of buying and told her we wanted to talk it over that night and let her know in the morning. She made us pay $50 to hold the vehicle and it was 8:00 pm at night. Nobody was going to come in anymore that night to buy it. We did end up searching the internet again and found the same type of used vehicle at another dealership in Ramdom Lake, that had the color we wanted and 10,000 less miles on it. and the price was $1,000.00 cheaper, And they still came down cheaper for us and added a remote start and mud flaps. I called our sales lady at Ewalds that next day and told her we were not buying the car there. She was not happy and was going to hang up and i asked her about when she would refund our $50.00. She said I would see it back on my debit card in a couple days. Here we are three weeks later and I have not gotten that money back.. I left three phone messages that were never returned. Then i sent two emails and she finally called us and said she needed our debit card info again to put it through. We gave it to her and it is a week and a half later and we still have not received the credit. I called her again and she said she gave it to the finance man and it was out of her hands that I would have to contact him. I have called him and left a message and still have not gotten a call back. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
