I have not been to this office in years and when I left, I was accidentally overcharged and had a credit on my account (I still have the statement from 2 years ago saying there is a credit on my account). Yesterday I received an old bill in the mail dated back to 3 years ago claiming I owe them hundreds of dollars today. They didn't care that I had a claim statement showing a credit to my account postmarked after the date on this "new statement". I even called my old insurance, but couldn't get any proof of this bill. The management of their billing is outrageous and will try to scam you. They admitted that their old billing was done incorrectly, yet now they are hunting down old patients and forcing them to pay new charges that were never shown before. I wish I could go back in time - I would've found a different doctor instead.

The first time I went for my current injury, I had to wait for almost a half hour. I was then told that I could come back another day because the DPT was busy. I responded by saying I was there now. I'll wait. When I finally got in to get diagnosed, there were a ton of people in there. The DPT listened to my description of my injury and without even examining me, told me what my injury was. There were so many interruptions at this point I wanted to walk out. But, I stayed to a continuing stream of interruptions during the time on was on the examining table when she finally examined me, almost an hour after I walked in the door. Against my better judgment, I made another appointment. When I showed up for the next appointment, I again had to wait. Again, there were a ton of people there. The assistant PT had no idea what I was supposed to be doing and had to continuously go back and forth to the DPT who was again dealing with multiple people. I just walked out. They couldn't care less about me walking out and canceling all my appointments. Despite its name, this PT place isn't geared to athletic injuries. It is dominated by older people. (There is nothing wrong with that. Just don't advertise that you gear to sports. For example, the DPT clearly wasn't an athlete.) It appears that the service that was once the cornerstone of this place is gone. It seems that it is all about getting as many people in the door as possible (Read: $$$$). That afternoon I made an appointment with Sportscare. They are very passionate about what they do. I will never return to SportsMed.

I suffered from acute ankle pain for over a year. Rest and muscle relaxation medication had little…read moreeffect. I used their services for several months and I have full use of my ankle again. I am back to a high level of activity including trail racing, mountain biking, golf, etc. They not only helped me reestablish full ankle use but build up the related joints in the knee and hip so that injury would not reoccur. They were extremely supportive and effective in taking me through the progression of increasingly challenging exercises that rebuilt my achillies tendon and related muscles and joints. I highly recommend them as a result of their positive attitude, effective progression of exercises, and professionalism that encouraged me to stay the course and put in the work needed to really FIX my issues. They truly appear to enjoy their job. They treat everyone with a warm and professional manner. I have been a patient there starting in 2014 before a surgical procedure in 2016 and then after the surgery as well. I am now an After Care patient where I am not treated with hands on treatment but am supervised by the physical therapists who have taught me how to exercise so that I main remain pain free and strong. I am charged a very nominal fee out of pocket. I find Dell the Administrative Assistant very cheerful and easy to coordinate appointments with. It is always wonderful to be treated with a smile and made to feel welcome. I have and will continue to recommend Kessler in Wayne to anyone with confidence they will receive the best care possible.
