The ENTIRE Kayal group should be avoided at all costs. I have had over a dozen appointments in the last 2 months for shoulder and arm pain. Every single instance of doctor visits, test and PT have had some kind of error in scheduling, confusion (on Kayals behalf, not mine) or just incompetence that has made me utterly furious. Im sure there are nice people that work there, but as a patient with pain, I feel like a very small "number" being shuttled through their fancy factory without any care or accountability on their part. So many scheduling errors and so much time being ignored and NOTHING from the staff or management about an apology. While an individual doctor may 'care' about your health problem, make no mistake - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER. They seem to be struggling with trying to grow the volume of their business, while making the individual feel ignored and insignificant. Specifically, I was placed with incompetent PT staff - I (wtih no medical training) knew more about their facility and process than they did and they made me feel like I was in danger of hurting myself. Multiple doctor visits we're incorrectly scheduled - a doctor would change the entire city of the appointment and I was never notified. Thier respinse was to ask if it was ok for me to reschedule out another 6 weeks. Rude and arrogant beyond imagination. Another visit the doctor was over an HOUR late and no one EVER came to say 'sorry' or can you wait a bit more. They do not care about me as a patient or customer. They DO care about their video loop of the founder listening to irrelevent doctors droning on about some obscure thing that has nothing to do with me on obnoxious video screens all over their practices. Even in my exam room with the doctor in it - we had to speak over the podcast recording!! I wanted to say "Is anyone seeing this - Am I on a hidden camera show??" They do care about their marble and blue glass interior design - that is obvious - office decoration and video screen BS is definitely a priority over customer service. If only they could give me, the patient, 10% of the care they used in promoting themselves, I would not be writing this note. But sadly, they wont even care about this. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. I never write reviews but I am so frustrated about having gone to this practice. I just received my bill and there was no disclosure that I would be charged for every single thing xrays, MRIs, chiropractic consults, etc. I was actively asking if the xrays and MRIs were covered by my insurance and they told me they accepted my insurance and not to worry. Their prices are overpriced for that they ACTUALLY do. They wanted to do surgery on me right away, as I was told in my first appointment. On my first session for PT, I arrived 5 minutes early. They had asked me if I wanted to speak to the chiropractor for a few minutes. I spoke to the chiropractor for less than 10 minutes and now I'm seeing on my bill that I got charged $150. There was no disclosure that those 10 minutes would cost money. This practice does not fully inform its patients on the costs of their services, needless to say, the prices are overpriced. In addition, the first option is always to perform surgery right away. I am grateful to have gone to a second opinion and I was told I don't need surgery. BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE, DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Kayal is amazing, he uses the latest technology at his practice and for his surgeries. He always put the needs of the patient first. He always give sound advise. I have always maintained an active lifestyle since high school and have been lifting weights since my teenage years. I had problems with my ankle and lower back due to heavy lifting. This greatly affected the quality of my life, my time on the basketball court with my son and time spent in the gym. My first experience at Kayal Ortho was exceptional and I received the best treatment by far from any Doctor's office I have ever been to. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The issues with my lower back and ankle was resolved and now I can be on the basketball court with my son for a very long time without and pain and discomfort. I've been to the Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock, and Paramus offices. I've always gotten same day appointments and had my X-rays and MRIs done at the latest next day. Dr. Kayal did an ACL reconstruction and if it weren't for the quality of his surgery I wouldn't have been back to work as quickly as I was. All of the PAs and staff that work there are top notch also, not only are they extremely knowledgeable, but they become your friends and remember you and your family. This truly is a wonderful practice! When I tore my MCL, Dr. Kayal and his team really made my experience comforting. I was able to get my xrays and my MRI done in the same place! Dr. Kayal has been treating my family for about 7 years. My father has had 3 surgeries with him, including two knee arthroscopies as well as a shoulder arthroscopy. He also had Platelet Rich Plasma injections for an elbow issue. My mother has had 3 surgeries as well, including BILATERAL KNEE REPLACEMENT as well as an arthroscopy.
