I have wanted a San Francisco "Painted Lady" style Victorian house since I was a little girl and…read morefirst saw them in the intro to the TV show "Full House." Well, that little girl grew up and married a man who didn't want an old Victorian house with all its potential age-related problems, but recognized my wish and said, let's get a new construction home, and you can make it look like a Victorian house. So here we are. This dream has now become a reality. My new construction home, while beautiful, was painted a builder neutral which just isn't me. I found Texas Professional Painting to be exactly what's in their name: Professional painters. They listened to my dream paint job and brought it to life, even with a rather complex paint plan unusual to Texas. What was once a brown on brown on brown house is now a gorgeous sea green with turquoise accents and framed by a cloud white trim, with the front door and back doors repainted in a deep ocean blue. My neighborhood and the surrounding neighborhoods are filled with neutral-painted homes and I have already seen neighbors slamming on their brakes as they drive past my house, or stop in my driveway as they are walking by my house, because it's the only one in the neighborhood painted like this. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Michael Cardenas and his amazing team. Not only were they on time and professional, they were affordable. I was quoted for as much as $8,000 by other companies, and I just plain couldn't afford that. Michael quoted me half of that. I got my dream "Painted Lady Victorian" exterior with a flawless result at a fraction of what it would have cost me elsewhere. I am so happy that I went with Texas Professional Painting, and if/when my neighbors and friends ask me where I got it done, I will be glad to tell them and hand them Michael's card. If you are looking for a great painting team, go to Texas Professional Painting. Michael and his team deserve your business.

I hired Brad and his team back in March to paint my brand new home because he had previously done…read morework at my other home that I sold. I hired him to paint my entire house before moving in ..(2200 sq ft) ceilings, walls, trim, cabinets etc. which was quite costly but at the time I felt it was more reasonable than other companies. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the work they did on All the trim throughout the house. The walls were great but not all the trim baseboards, shelves, doors etc ... My brother who owns his own business as a painting contractor in Houston Tx for 30+ yrs specifically discussed with Brad (I was standing in room during discussion) the type of paint to use on all the trim which was oil-based of course, as that is standard and Brad agreed. Low and behold I find out "after" the work is done that they didn't use oil-based, but instead slapped latex over everything. When asked about it, Brad said his lead guy had told him that when the started the trim work it appeared the prior owner had used latex on all the trim and that it would be too much work to sand everything down and paint with oil-based, so they just made the decision on their own without even consulting me to use latex!! I feel that was very deceptive because all Brad had to do was come back and tell me how much more that was going to be to do the extra work and I would've been more than glad to pay it. Now I'm dealing with peeling paint throughout the house & just had my floors redone and Of course now I have to pay another company to sand all the baseboards and repaint everything oil based. Of course that Still doesn't care for my doors & shelves which are already peeling. I did try to settle the situation with Brad but he wasn't willing to redo anything other than touch up spots where there were issues. Sadly not the type of businessman I'll deal with in the future.
