The office is really big and clean. There were a lot of people ahead of me but we all got taken back rather quickly. No long wait at all. My hygienist was Kay and I absolutely loved her! She made me so comfortable and at ease. Super sweet and attentive. The ladies in the front and the doctor were also great! They give you a treatment plan and talk about pricing before they do anything and everything is very easy to understand. I'm no longer anxious about the dentist. I can't wait to come back next month! Dr Starr was my child's dentist and he completed the fillings did not check the bite and stood up and said we needed to find another dentist because he was traumatized. Really? He did not finish the work, discharged him, the office said they can drop a patient at any time for any reason. The office manager stated there are two sides to every story but did note there were no notes in the system as to why he dropped him and did not complete the work. I was in the room and there was nothing done on my child's end except raising his arm when he was in pain. Pitiful excuse for a dental office. I would not recommend anyone go here!

I paid 450.00 the day of dental work but about 6 weeks later I was told I owed another 275.00 because the insurance company would not cover the crown. I was surprised because I had had the policy over a year {long enough for a rate increase}. I felt mislead but still offered to pay half. Staff said no I should have read the small print on estimates. I am a senior living on Social Security, 275.00 is a lot of money. I had been a long term patient.

I was told I would need to have an exam first before I could schedule a cleaning (a practice that is still a bit odd to me, but I know this is standard for certain cities); a little annoying, but it's only for the initial visit. I was lucky to be able to schedule my cleaning for the very next day at the end of my exam! All of the staff that I interacted with were kind and pleasant to talk to, including the dentist and hygienist that I saw. The exam and xrays were very thorough and I felt I was in great care. That is until I went to Grand Family Dentistry on Jones Creek in Baton Rouge. I had to go to get some relief from a tooth that was hurting severely. I informed the staff how I struggle with fear and anxiety. This staff took care of my issues like never before. Kay and Tara got me situated and prepped - x rays first. Then an angel of a doctor appeared, Dr. "D" they call her. She was so caring and reassuring, going over my x rays with me. A topical deadening product was applied and was given enough time to do its job. Then she injected my gums with more deadening product - she was amazing - no pain. Then nitrous oxide was administered and the tooth was extracted, one stitch and it was time to turn off the nitrous oxide. This was absolutely the most pleasant dental experience I have ever had. No pain whatsoever- no apprehension, no anxiety and no fear. I have been back twice for additional work and will continue to go to Grand Family Dentistry where Dr. "D", Kay and Tara are absolutely the best at what they do. Yes, I highly recommend this place.

First noticed that the mold she had made was literally making my teeth crooked. I stopped wearing it at night and brought it to her attention. It was the first time I realized she could not take constructive criticism. The final straw was when she purposely released the lever on my chair without telling me and it aggressively sat me straight up to where I felt like I'd lost my breath. It was clear that it was aggression and I should've pressed charges. She's very passive aggressive and I think a lot of her reviews come from people who aren't paying attention to the details. Since leaving her, I am more aware of the damage she caused to my teeth and now have a dentist who can take constructive criticism and learns from it. That's the hallmark (or should be) of any person who wants to both grow and learn and I did not find it with Dr. Courtney Jones, D.D.S. Worst. Dentist. Ever.
