It took my deeply estranged ex-husband and I ONE YEAR to agree on a therapist for our daughter via the court system. That therapist was Annette. After seeing my daughter only twice Annette quit working with us, via e-mail no less (even though I had just called her). She stated she would not be able to continue seeing my child because of the unrest & anger between my ex-husband and I. So essentially, she refused to provide a struggling child therapy because of the large, broken emotional pieces of her family life - all things completely out of her control - that warranted her needing therapy in the first place. Annette is not patient-focused, warm, or professional. She would rather see a young, helpless child suffer in solitude than tolerate the inconvenience of her distressed parents. If she doesn't want to be involved with the strain of modern dysfunctional family dynamics, it would seem she is in the absolute wrong line of work. My daughter remains without a therapist & likely will for a long time to come. I would not recommend Annette to anyone, anywhere, ever.

As a therapist, he is incompetent, talks about himself incessantly, and sees Medicaid patients so he can bill for sessions that never actually occur. But, as mentioned, I have also had the misfortune of getting to know him personally. He is misogynistic and fatphobic: he once told me he chose this particular specialty because he wants to "control women." He drinks excessively, often before finishing his work for the day. So, if you want a psychologist who will make you or your child feel worse about their body and treats his patients while inebriated, this is your guy.

My child was in recovery and after going there for 4 months is back in an eating disorder program. They did nothing to help my child change the way he/she thought. my child was telling the therpist things they were doing that posed a health risk and I was never informed. I found out after the fact. I was lucky to catch it in time to prevent hospitalization. The people are nice but that does not mean they can help. If your not on top of things they will let your child slip through the crack. Please find another place.

One day, Kara mysteriously quit without informing me or telling another soul. This resulted in me showing up to our scheduled appointment, waiting for a half hour, and then leaving. I texted her. I called her. No response. It took four days for the Counseling Center she was working out of to inform me that she had quit and I had to find another therapist. None of the mental health professionals at that location were taking new clients. No one warned me in advance so I could take care of it, or you know, not waste a half hour of my time showing up to an appointment that the person I was paying to help clearly didn't give a shit about. No one referred me to a new therapist. Literally the person charged with helping me handle my mental health and helping me learn to care for myself, showed no regard for my emotional well being in the decision she made, showed no regard for me as a person as she couldn't even give me a head's up (or take five seconds to text me to cancel our appointment), showed no regard for how I was going to continue my treatment or continue taking care of myself. Worst therapeutic experience of my extensive mental health history and, frankly, Kara can go fuck herself.
