My husband and I decided to take the short trip from Las Vegas to Rhyolite to take our kids to the out door museum and to see the ghost town. We didn't want to leave our dogs at home so we brought them along too. I thought it would be fun to stay the night in Beaty so we didn't have to rush while in rhyolite. I found this motel online and since it look freshly renovated, modern and dog friendly I knew this was goin to be the perfect spot. Our plans worked out just right. Check in was not until 3pm. So we spent some time in Rhyolite and once the kids and dog were hungry and hot we decided to drive back into town. When we checked into the motel. I was greeted by a very nice young girl. She checked me in and then directed me to our room. Parking was near our door as we were on the bottom floor but tucked away in a small hallway. Right outside of our door was a picnic table and what looked like a potty area for pups. However, our dogs didn't use this area and preferred us to walk them along the backside of the buildings. We weren't sure what we wanted to eat for dinner, but conveniently located in the same parking lot there was a barbecue spot. It worked out great because we were able to walk from our room to the restaurant and they allowed us to bring the dogs. The boys wanted dessert so we were able to walk to a nearby gas station. This motel is in walking distance to basically everything including nightlife. The room was very cozy, clean and the air conditioning worked great. At the time of our stay the Golden Knights were in the playoffs and we were able to watch the game in our room. They also had free Wi-Fi. We did have to ask for extra towels because there were four of us staying in the room. In the morning when we woke up to take the dogs out, we got to see the donkeys walking through the city. Checkout was at 11 which gave us enough time to wake up, pack and grab a snack for the road. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you're driving through Nevada or you're just looking for a day trip to get away from Las Vegas we will definitely be back ! read more

A very Comfortable Hotel in the Heart of Beatty. They've completed a remodel which really has made this place cozy. The bathroom is spacious with easy access shower. New tv and large refrigerator make for an excellent living space for an extended stay. The only downside to this stay was finding that there was no mattress cover. Prior stays found this to be the only hotel in Beatty that used bed bug resistant mattress covers. With the high amount of tourist traffic from Death Valley I would like to see them invest in guest safety. read more

Don't let the outside appearance fool you this place is awesome! Not to mention affordable. The staff was super nice and the rooms are completely remodeled inside. They are equipped with a fridge, microwave, nice large shower, free WiFi, ice machine, you name it! The beds were super squishy and comfortable. Heat and AC works great. There isn't much to complain about but it is me so I do only have one complaint. There are people who live here and they aren't really respectful of the people who are coming here for a pit stop. We had a guy beside us who left his dog and his dog was pretty upset so he barked until about 1 am. The lady above us was yelling at her dog all night. It was New Years so that could have something to do with it. read more

I stayed here last night after running from the roach motel the el portal which is GROSS. Don't waste your money anywhere else!! The Exchange Club is RENOVATED and GREAT! I've stayed at the exchange club many times over the passed 20 years. It was always okay. Well they have just renovated and it's rooms are great! Compare it to a comfort inn. White fluffy comforter. Huge modern bathroom with white fluffy towels. Clean vacuumed carpets !!! Nice simple decor. Clean! What you would expect from a good chain. We were about to sleep in our car instead the portal, when we drove by and saw the vacancy sign here and took a chance! I wasn't sure if it was completely renovated, and am so happy it is. Definitely highly recommended given the low price with the high quality service they offer here. We are visiting Death Valley from LA and stayed here for a night, and the experience here was way beyond our expectations. The front desk staff was very professional and she handled our checkin very fast with proper details and communication. Room was clean and cozy, and honestly better than most major chain hotels I visited in California on work trips. Absolute the first tier among all motels. There were some minor issues but didn't really bother me that much. Like the fridge in our room was a bit loud and the heater didn't work really well in our room. However it doesn't kill the fact that this is still a really good motel. read more

It was just OK. The room was fine but the front desk person could have been a bit more hospitable. In fact, she had her small kids running around when I checked in and I tried to be pleasant to them, understanding that it is often difficult to manage kids and work at the same time, and that still didn't seem to improve her disposition. That aside, it was not a place I would pick if there were better options available. I felt uncomfortable with some of the guests and our door handle was broken. read more

Pro: - The City of Beatty, NV, is 45 minutes to Death Valley Visitor Center and 35 minutes to Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes (Besides the lodgings inside the national park, this is considered close to the park.) - Friendly staff - Comfortable bed - Large room - Microwave - Good Wi-fi - Shower with good water pressure and hot water came out right away - Instant hot water from the sink also - Mini market at the Arco gas station next door is open 24 hours Con: - Mini fridge was missing the temperature control knob to turn on the fridge. Was told motel has only two fridges with knobs still there as people have been stealing them. So why weren't they replaced? - The closet rod had no hanger - Shower curtain smelled like mildew - Only one trash can in the room, so we put it in the bathroom. - Heater/A/C was noisy (but tolerable) Overall, it was a good motel for the price and the distance to the national park. read more

I made advanced reservations (highly recommended as they were sold out) and really didn't know what to expect. As we headed to Beatty, I told my wife that our night's lodging could be hit or miss. The lady at the check-in desk was friendly and personable. OK, that's a good sign. We went into our room and were pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern the room was. Everything indicated it had been recently remodeled. WiFi is excellent plus they are pet friendly. My dogs enjoyed walking around the town and watching the (semi)wild burros. We'll leave Beatty with good memories thanks in part to the efforts of the Exchange Club motel. read more

Stopped here on our way to Death Valley. Was going to stay at another hotel but they didnt have 2 double/queen rooms. Found this place down the street, and glad that we did. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. I was very surprised. The woman at the desk was very friendly and explained how to connect to their free wi-fi. As others have noted... this is a fine place to spend the night in rural Nevada. I drove over from Death Valley after Stovepipe ran out of cheap rooms. Rooms for two here cost about $67 and while the interior is pretty retro, it is spotlessly clean and cozy. There are a few bars/restaurants across the street but I'd call them more bar than restaurant. The gas station next door has cheap petrol (1/2 the price of death valley). There is also a Bank of America w/Atm within walking distance. Only slight negative is the trucks driving by on the highway out front. Even through the motel is set back pretty far from the road it was a tad noisier than I prefer. Beatty makes a fine base for exploring the Western edge of Death Valley (Thimble peak, Corkscrew, Titus Canyon area). read more

A gem in the small town of Beatty, NV. As advertised, the rooms have all been renovated and there is Wi-Fi. They are very large, clean, and had all the necessities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and flatscreen TV). My bed was super comfy and I appreciated the warm showers with great water pressure after long days in Death Valley National Park. The front desk girl was also very nice. There are a few restaurants (burger/pizza/breakfast/BBQ/bar type) and a coffee/latte place "on wheels" within walking distance. I did not use the AC or heater so cannot comment. There is also a gas station across the street with much better prices than in the park. The only negative: while they provide shampoo, soap and coffee, I did miss the usual lotion and conditioner. It's totally minor but I had forgotten how hard/painful it is to brush out wet hair without conditioner. Great value! read more

Lodging options in Beatty are limited, so it is hard to judge the options that are available. We ended up at the Exchange Club because it is well-reviewed. The reservation process was simple. We called; they had a room available, and the price was right ($60-something dollars for the night). Checking in was a breeze. The hotel is all outdoor entry, and the room is very basic, but clean. Some of the fixtures are worn. For example, the faucet was missing a piece, but it was completely functional. The bathroom was a bit dated. The shower head was mounted super low, for those folks who were shorter in the 70s! But, it was clean. The bed linens were old school motel. The room is heated/cooled by a unit, not central heating and air, but it kept the room warm. They do have a flat screen TV, HBO and free WiFi. You can walk across the street for eats and drinks, so that is convenient. It's not a place I would be excited to stay, but after a long day on the road or out in Death Valley, it is clean and comfortable. read more

Granted it is just a motel in the middle of the desert on the way to/from touristy spots such as Las Vegas or Death Valley, but I had a peaceful sleep in a clean room for a price I pay for a decent dinner for two in West LA. We came here over the weekend and spent one night. I was not expecting much for $83, but room was large and seemed clean. (You can never really tell). Refrigerator, microwave present. AC was room style and loud. No hassle when asking for extra towel. Registration was easy. Restaurants were walking distance. First impression was great: clean room, friendly staff, fair price. But on the last night of our stay, I woke up in the middle of the night and saw roaches crawling around on the countertops! ICK!!!!! I had to go through ALL of our luggage contents, piece by piece, to make sure we didn't take home any disgusting critters. What a hassle! The front desk clerk seemed unbothered by the news of roaches in the room. I was given a brush-off apology and told that the room was already charged to my card so there was nothing she could do. I would love to say that we had a lovely stay, because the first two nights we did! And we were looking forward to a return trip. But between the roaches and the staff's unconcerned attitude about roaches crawling near my toothbrush... We'll never go back. I understand that critters sometimes happen, but the employees attitude about it and lack of concern for my family's health and safety is why I'm giving this motel a terrible review. The Exchange Club Motel was a big surprise and delight to us. Great value for the price. The hotel was affiliated with the casino down the street so we were allowed to use their pool and hot tub too. Motel itself was clean and the proprietor was vey attentive to our needs-quickly bringing extra towels for our son when we first checked in. The city is a good place to stay overnight if you are going to Death Valley. Don't miss the wild, and friendly burros roaming the town; they were a bit north of city when we were there. The ghost town, Rhyolite, was fun, too. Strange and interesting outdoor sculptures and old town buildings and mine. You may find some good deals at the antique shops in the city-we did. Room was inexpensive ($67) and clean. Bed is comfortable but pillows aren't as fluffy as I'd like or at least could use some more. The bathroom is standard shower/bathtub. Toilet has a sketchy flush but I can't say anything went wrong. Water pressure is excellent and no lack of hot water for a great morning shower. AC is a loud wall unit but it works. Wifi is slow but wasn't expecting much anyhow. The motel is close to all the Beatty action, saloon, restaurants, and casino. We stayed here after visiting Death Valley. It was warm outside and the AC does not do much at all. The room was sort of clean. There had been some updates to the room but the bathtub creaked with every move in the shower and there was someone else's towel on the back of the door. The staff was very friendly but given the option I don't think we would stay here again. read more

In addition, the A/C worked well, which is important since the temperature in Beatty that day was about 105 degrees! For the $rate not a bad place for 1 night stay. the biggest complaint is the room reeks of old cigarette smell. kind of ironic the hotel has strict no smoking policy and steep fine. also the aircondition filter was dirty. at 6am you can hear neighbors tv. the owner called us to make sure we knew there is doorbell so when we arrived late we would knoww hat to do, that was thoughtful. on the upside the room is well maintained looking at fixtures, paint, wear and tear. overall the room appears to be clean. gas station is accross the parking lot on on same side of street. the hotel is accessed from the main road through town so very easy to find. wifi was easy to connect. basically we wanted a pit stop between Yosemite and vegas so this hotel was conveniently located for our travels. read more

On the road from Reno to Las Vegas, we had to turn around just south of Beatty due to flash floods. Pulled in the first hotel we could find and was almost $100/night. Came a little further up the street and found this little gem for $77. Had good reviews on Yelp so was pleased to see they were accurate. On the free wifi right now and it is running great. Room is clean and comfortable with 2 queen sized beds that look comfy. In room refrigerator with small freezer section and small coffee maker, cable tv. No microwave in room, but small one available in the office. Office staff very friendly. We will be heading to a Yelp highly-rated Mexican restaurant nearby for dinner. read more
