This hotel is not bad at all considering the low price on a sold out weekend during Spring break and the limited lodging options near Death Valley. We arrived past midnight and I called in advance to make sure they didn't give my rooms away. The front desk guy wasn't the friendliest but did the job. When asked for wifi, he said it was $5 but has not had any luck making it work that day. Skipped. To my surprise, the room was a pretty good size, with wood floors and updated bedding and bathroom sink. If you looked at the bathroom in detail, you would find some less than squeaky clean spots but I wasn't expecting much so decided to just ignore those. They provide you with soap but not shampoo or conditioner so bring your own! There was free coffee in the lobby and there was also a Denny's and convenience store right across. There were also coin operated laundry machines on my floor. Plenty of free parking and you can see the sign from far ahead on the freeway. First time at a Motel 6 and was pleasantly surprised!

Disgusting dead roach in the bathroom light

This was my first- and hopefully last- stay at a Motel 6 and will go to my hotel history as the worst experience I ever had. We booked this hotel because we weren't able to find a room in one of the hotels in the Death Valley National Park and thought we would only need a clean and quiet room where to sleep peacefully after spending our days hiking and exploring the park. Well, this room was neither clean nor quiet. We arrived very late at night after a strenuous trip and the guy at check in was very per-functionary and could not wait to get back to his smokes and late night movie. As soon as we entered our room, we realized with dismay that the words "clean" and "room" cannot be paired together in this establishment. The room was dirty, the last time somebody swept the floor was probably months ago: there were some unspecified seeds (!!!) and crumbles all over the floor and in the bathroom. The bed was made but the bed sheets were all crumpled and the pillows not adjusted so that we even suspected it had already been slept in and just remade without changing the sheets. The mattress was so old it was sagging to the floor. The bathroom had some hair on the floor, a dead roach on the bathroom light and the towels were all stained. We wanted a room with a view but got one with a bug. The worst part was the toilet seat: it still had the memories of the number two somebody had left in a prior use. Unfortunately the hotel was booked to capacity, we had paid in advance and there was no other place to stay at 3:30 in the morning, otherwise we would have left then and there. I ended up using a box of wet towels I always carry in the car to clean the toilet seat from the lingering number 2 remains. The room is very spartan: you only get one bar of cheap soap (no shampoo), there is no refrigerator (in the desert, really?) and no hair dryer. The walls are so thin you can hear everything that is going on in the adjacent rooms (even the bodily functions after an heavy Mexican meal and love's enthusiastic expressions). The elevator was so loud that every time somebody rode it in the middle of the night we would wake up thinking we heard a gunshot. You can purchase wifi at $5 per day which is very expensive. There is free coffee in the so-called hall, but we did not want to push our luck and dare drink it for fear to catch a disease. During our stay we barely slept and counted the hours to check out. Once home, we washed everything we carried in the room. This hotel should be avoided at all costs. The one star is for Yelp that allows me to write a review, the hotel does not rate any stars and should be in a galaxy far far far away.

The rooms were modern and updated, clean, and accessible. The motel is located next door to a candy factory and gas station. A real plus!

We didn't want to leave our dogs at home so we brought them along too. I thought it would be fun to stay the night in Beaty so we didn't have to rush while in rhyolite. I found this motel online and since it look freshly renovated, modern and dog friendly I knew this was goin to be the perfect spot. Our plans worked out just right. Check in was not until 3pm. So we spent some time in Rhyolite and once the kids and dog were hungry and hot we decided to drive back into town. When we checked into the motel. I was greeted by a very nice young girl. She checked me in and then directed me to our room. Parking was near our door as we were on the bottom floor but tucked away in a small hallway. Right outside of our door was a picnic table and what looked like a potty area for pups. However, our dogs didn't use this area and preferred us to walk them along the backside of the buildings. We weren't sure what we wanted to eat for dinner, but conveniently located in the same parking lot there was a barbecue spot. It worked out great because we were able to walk from our room to the restaurant and they allowed us to bring the dogs. The boys wanted dessert so we were able to walk to a nearby gas station. This motel is in walking distance to basically everything including nightlife. The room was very cozy, clean and the air conditioning worked great. At the time of our stay the Golden Knights were in the playoffs and we were able to watch the game in our room. They also had free Wi-Fi. We did have to ask for extra towels because there were four of us staying in the room. In the morning when we woke up to take the dogs out, we got to see the donkeys walking through the city. Checkout was at 11 which gave us enough time to wake up, pack and grab a snack for the road. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you're driving through Nevada or you're just looking for a day trip to get away from Las Vegas we will definitely be back !

I just needed an email confirming that I canceled this reservation for travel insurance purposes and called to ask him if he would send that email to me. He agreed and took my information. I waited 24 hours to follow up when I hadn't received that email and to email him the next day, to make it easy for him to just respond to the email (something like yes this reservation has been cancelled would have worked fine for me, but after not getting an email response the next day, I called back to ask verbally again. He was extremely agitated right off the bat immediately after picking up the phone, recognizing my voice from previous calls, and sounded so irritated when I asked if he could respond to my email or send one out and he yelled "Look, I sent out the email yesterday. If you didn't get it, I don't know what to tell you. I've spent enough of my time on your reservation in the first place!" AND HUNG UP ON METhat was that. I don't understand how someone in the hospitality industry could act so hostily. l had plans to return there after canceling, but now I have no such intention just based on that experience (I guess I'll have to assume he feels the same about me).
